Today is "A Day to Pray" for our nation.

Today we ask God for forgiveness and healing of our land and to bless our Country and her people. This will not be a political rally but a spiritual event and hopefully one that can help bring us together as we move forward as a nation.

Over 109,000 Americans RSVPd on Facebook for this event and many more will be participating with their churches around the country. I will post my prayer for the country later this morning. This event however is about all of us so I want you to share your prayers with me. Just go to my Facebook wall and leave me a message. There, you can share your prayer with me and perhaps a photo of you, your friends, your congregation or your church if it is participating today and I will try and post as many of these prayers and photos as I can to my Facebook wall.

If you haven't yet RSVPd, you can add your voice to this large prayer group by clicking the link below. Just RSVP yes to be counted and thank you to all who are participating!

Most Gracious Father, In the precious name of Jesus we come to you, first with thanksgiving in our heart and on our lips. Thanking you for all that you've done, what You're doing right now, and what You're going to do. Father, I ask in Jesus name that You would forgive this nation of our sins against you, and please heal this land. For Lord You said in your Word that all of our help comes from You. I pray this nation would look to the hills from whence cometh our help. Our help cometh from You, Almighty God. We need You, God and can't get alogn without You. Help us to seek Your guidance in all we do. Lord you are what this nation needs. Help us dear Lord to be more like you. I pray this prayer in the mighty name of Your son Jesus! Amen!

God, we thank you for Your grace. You have blessed us with the greatest nation in the world, and we have made a mess of things. We come together in repentance today, and ask for Your forgiveness as a people. We're so sorry for taking You out of our land, our schools, our work places, etc. We give you permission to invade this country once again. Holy Spirit, we invite You into every home, every institution, and every faucet of government. We ask that You would come, meet us where we are, and guide us in the right direction. Lord God, grant us protection, and pour our Your blessing on us, as well as our friends in Israel, & bestow upon us a captivating love for Your Beloved. Lord, we pray for revival in our homeland and across the world. We stand in agreement and believe for unity amongst the people, especially those you have given authority and placed in leadership. Lord, we may not always agree with our leaders, but we are called to pray for them. We ask now for Your presence to fill the White House. Bless our president, Barack Obama, his wife, Michelle, & their two daughters. Grant our leaders wisdom. May our government be open and honest and lead the people in a righteous manner, in a way that would be most pleasing to You. Father, have Your way in America and in our lives. Bring healing & restoration, and may we once again be united as one nation under God. We need You now more than ever before. Please come. We love You, Lord! In Jesus' mighty and precious name we pray, Amen.

How great is our God! Let us rejoice and be glad in Him. We confess our many sins, mainly the sin of leaving you. Accept our confession, Lord, heal our land, lead us, guide us, and direct us. We pray for those in authority. Thank you in advance.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for our country, our Constitution and our leaders. I pray for our President and for every elected and appointed official who serves with him. I pray that You will build a spiritual wall of protection around the marriage and family of every national, state and local office. I pray that You will give them the wisdom and the courage to uphold our Constitution which establishes a republic based on Your absolute laws, not a democracy based on the changing whims of man's reasoning. I pray that Your rebuke satan for the deception of his lie that we can be "as gods" in deciding for ourselves what is right and what is wrong. O lord, may our leaders cast down every law, policy, and personal example whick weakens marriages, families or Your moral standards. I pray that our leaders will understand and follow the princples of Your word. May they realize that all authority comes from You, not the voters and one day they will stand before You to give account of the power You gave them. I base this prayer on the promise of Your word, that if I will humle myself, pray, seek Your face and turn from my wicked ways, than You will hear from heaven, forgive my sin and heal my land. In the name and through the blood of Jesus Christ, I pray
