Andrew Card is Acting Dean of the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, serving as the School’s leader while Dean Ryan Crocker is on leave as the U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan. For President George H. W. Bush’s administration, he served as Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff, and the 11th U.S. Secretary of Transportation. In November of 2000, Mr. Card was appointed Chief of Staff for President George W. Bush and served in that position for 5 ½ years.
