This will be sad news for Dolly Parton’s fans, of whom I am one of many millions. She’s not retiring (I can’t imagine her ever doing that), but she announced that she’s decided not to tour anymore.

She says she might do the occasional festival or special appearance, but she wants to stay home and spend more time with her husband Carl now that they’re getting older. Fortunately, she will continue to write songs and record new music. I wonder if they might consider getting a second home in Las Vegas so Dolly could perform regularly and just let her fans come to her? I know they would!

Whatever she decides to do, I wish the very best to one of the kindest, warmest, most talented and most generous women in show business or any other industry. Here’s just one example. Her Imagination Library charity just gave away its 130 millionth book to children.

She said, “If I’m remembered 100 years from now, I hope it will be not for looks but for books.” I don’t think Dolly has to worry about being remembered 100 years from now, and for a lot of things.

It is time for president Trump to stop calling everybody names. I voted for him but he has made himself unelectable by attacking DeSantis, the one candidate who could possibly win the presidency. He is showing he doesn't care as much about making our country great again as he does about his own vendetta. I had a problem with the name calling when he was president, acted like a school boy bully instead of a president!!

I agree with you as much as I wanted them to loose I knew New York and some of the other blue states weren’t going to elect a Republican governor. Maybe Dan Bingino has a point even though it sounds crazy when he said it’s not bad enough
I’m so happy for your daughter ?? Sincerely Jo Beth Kelley

Trump has once again screwed up a mid-term election. He not only is his own worse enemy, but he is becoming America's worst enemy...mostly due to his EGO! It is so sad. He did so much for America & Americans..now it feels like he is working against us.

The GOP needs a TOTAL Overhaul!

    Hi Mike,
Thanks so much for all you do and for a great show, (Love all y'all
    The band is outstanding
Nice "Rick" bass too......you play it so well
I'm a bass player too and have a Fender Jazz American Deluxe (2001) and an Ibanez fretless
    (1994)
    Anyhow,
Quick question... As of Thursday morning 11/10/2022 I keep hearing that Republicans have the House, but the numbers are still below 218
    Can you explain?
Thanks again "and may God bless"
    Love in Christ,
    Dave

What an AMAZING woman.....have a friend here in Nashville that interviewed her several
years ago and said exactly what you were saying about her.....she has done so much for
so many children including my grandchildren.
I was given a book about her story ....wonderful book with many memories of her journey
in music and all that she's done. Thank you for all that you do Governor Huckabee.

If she went on stage, it would be Branson and not Las Vegas. Insofar as I know, Dolly has stayed faithful to Carl, her husband lo these many years. One more thing: If Donald Trump is elected, I hope you get to serve in his Cabinet.

I never got to see her live and I'm sad about that, but she deserves a break, she's worked very hard for a very long time - word is that she puts her whole self into her performances. In 100 years, they will remember her voice, like a songbird from God, the rest is just icing.
