“Huckabee” Preview
Get your Fourth of July weekend off to an explosive start with a newsmaking new episode of “Huckabee” tonight on TBN! Former Trump aide Peter Navarro will finally join me to talk about the January 6th Committee and its egregious abuses of power. Compass Care CEO Jim Harden will talk about the threats against pro-life pregnancy centers. One of my favorite people, the hilarious Chonda Pierce, returns to the show. We’ll have a behind-the-scenes look at one of the biggest Fourth of July fireworks shows in America. And we’ll top it off with the music of rising Christian music star, Riley Clemmons.
We’ll light the fuse on this great show at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST on TBN. To find out how to watch TBN, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming, visit https://www.huckabee.tv and click on “Channel Finder” on the top menu. Even worse
Remember last month, when it was reported that the US economy shrank at an annual rate of 1.5% in the first quarter of 2022, and everyone said, “Ooh, this is bad.” Well, that number has now been revised. It actually shrank by 1.6%.
Bird brain
Just when you think identity politics can’t get any loopier, meet the woman on TikTok who claims she and another woman close to her identify as birds – a cardinal and a blue jay respectively – because birds “don’t inherently have a gender.”
I hate to break this to her, but birds do have a gender. The females lay eggs. I think this bird just laid an egg with this TikTok post. As noted at the link, she’s not a cardinal, she’s a cuckoo.
“Lightyear” bombs at the box office
“Lightyear,” Disney’s latest attempt to push wokeness on children, bombed in its opening weekend and has dropped 65% since then. But many “Toy Story” fans were also upset that Disney didn’t let rare Hollywood conservative Tim Allen reprise the voice of Buzz Lightyear, the role he created. Allen has now addressed that, and while he was quite diplomatic, it’s obvious he wasn’t wounded at not being asked to be part of this film (“I’ve stayed out of this.”)
Not missing much
I have a feeling you’ve never heard of the singer Halsey. But the way she harangues her own fans who walked out of a concert when she started lecturing them about abortion rights, I doubt you’ll have to worry about missing out on her long future career.
You need to read this
PJ Media has an exclusive article by J. Christian Adams that I’m not even going to try to summarize. It’s about what the Public Interest Legal Foundation turned up with a series of Freedom of Information Act Requests and the suspicious connections and interactions between progressive funders, leftwing groups, big corporations, federal authorities and state election officials. Zuckerbucks were only the tip of the iceberg. If you care about ever being able to trust elections again, read it all.
See you in court
New York’s Democrat officials seem determined to ignore the Supreme Court and continue pushing for more gun restrictions, despite having just been slapped down. Attorney General Letitia James is showing the same regard for the law in going after gun makers that she is in her great white whale hunt for Donald Trump. Click the link to see a must-read response to her from a gun rights legal organization.
Huck’s Hero Video
Here’s a valuable lesson for anyone thinking of assaulting a 7-11 clerk. Don’t do it in front of a black belt Jiu-Jitsu instructor who came in to buy Slushies for his kids. You might end up with your arms tied like a 7-11 pretzel.
More bad poll news for Democrats
More on this American hero
I reported yesterday on the sad news that the last surviving World War II Medal of Honor recipient, Hershel “Woody” Williams, had died at 98, and I shared the video of his appearance on “Huckabee.” But a hero like that deserves more than one day of tributes, so here’s another great article about his amazing life, his bravery and his humility.
Good judgement in Hollywood
West Hollywood is known as Los Angeles’ gayest neighborhood. It’s also one of the most affluent, and most liberal. And since the city council just decided to respond to a 137% increase in crime by defunding the police department, I have a feeling it’s about to become known as one of the most dangerous. But don’t worry: they’re replacing the cops with “safety ambassadors.” They call it “re-imagining public safety.” I commend them on their vivid imaginations.
Also noted in that story: while slashing the police budget, West Hollywood tripled the budget for its Russian Arts Festival. This is why the word “Hollywood” has become synonymous with good judgement and intelligent priorities.
It’s official
Disney is no longer in the children’s entertainment business. Now, they’re just TRYING to see if they can get Walt to spin in his grave.
Vital necessities
All that deficit spending that the Democrats packed into the “American Rescue Plan” has fueled runaway inflation, but at least it helped pay for vital necessities. Like $825,000 for “oral historians” to research…”anti-racism” and “Latinx histories”?! Or $359,097 for the NEH to create a "multiplatform project exploring the historical roots and persistent legacies of racism in American science and medicine." Or $50,000 for “reopening programs that teach Indigenous canoe-building and explore pre-colonial sea life."
Well, that was certainly worth making food much more expensive. Let’s all pray that the next election rescues America from these people before we're all up a creek of red ink without a canoe.
Oops
Sure, let’s have the government keep more records on law-abiding gun owners. They’re responsible and trustworthy, right? It’s a “common sense” gun law. What could possibly go wrong? Whoops!
