1. Hopeful sign
It often seems as if we have a powerful, worldwide media system set up for the express purpose of denying reality and hiding the truth (just try saying on Twitter that a man can’t wish himself into being a woman.) But you can only hold down a lid on the truth for so long until it blows. As Jesus said, “For nothing is hidden except to be made manifest; nor is anything secret except to come to light.” Shakespeare also wrote in “The Merchant of Venice” that “truth will come to light; murder cannot be hid long…at the length, truth will out.“
Cover-ups now seem to be crumbling all around us as Americans get fed up with being lied to and told they have to shut up and pretend to do along with all the patent falsehoods and delusions. Even some liberal Democrats are finally swallowing the red pill. The latest is New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who had his eyes opened to the Biden-caused border crisis by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott busing a relative handful of illegal immigrants to the Big Apple. Then, unlike Biden, he visited El Paso to see the real devastation, not a cleaned-up photo op version. And now, he’s started dropping truth bombs on the epicenter of leftist reality denial, MSNBC.

Of course, he still blames Republicans for “blocking” action (which is like blaming firefighters for blocking the entrance of a burning building they’re trying to save.) And he got plenty of blowback from both sides for not recognizing that the illegal immigrant problem he finds so overwhelming is just a tiny taste of what Biden is inflicting on border towns.
But at least this is finally being said, even on MSNBC and despite Joe Scarborough’s best efforts. That is at least a hopeful sign that the truth is finally starting to out.

2. Trump ban will end

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, announced that it was ending the two-year ban on former President Trump. They banned him on grounds that he incited the January 6th violence, even though the only social media posts he made that day called on his supporters to not be violent, respect the police and leave the Capitol peacefully. Details, details!

Personally, I’m more concerned about this talk of “guard rails” that will be put on his account, to make him liable for punishment if he says something they don’t think he should have said. This will apparently be a new policy for all political figures who have been previously suspended. In a nation where generations have died to preserve the First Amendment right to free speech, I don’t think public speech platforms should be placing “guard rails,” which is something you put around a baby’s crib, on what adults are allowed to talk about.
While Trump’s return would no doubt make those platforms more entertaining again, it’s still an open question as to whether he’s interested. Trump did issue a statement that you can see at the link above, but it was mostly to rub their noses in how much money they’ve lost since he left. See, that’s why it would be fun to have him back!
3. Hunter Biden/classified documents update

We'll have much more on Hunter Biden, "Biden Inc." and this whole classified documents kerfluffle for weekend reading, but for now, here's a quick round-up on the latest developments...
With Republicans in Congress set on examining the records for those 150 Biden financial transactions flagged as suspicious, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has blocked the Oversight Committee's request, saying they first have to determine whether disclosure of the records is consistent with "longstanding Executive Branch interests."
That's not the point. The idea here is not to further Executive Branch interests --- it's to further Congress's interest in fulfilling its legitimate oversight role. It's also the right of the people to know if their President has been in possession of top-secret information to help his son and brother keep the money flowing into their bank accounts, and his own.
Paul Sperry said on Jesse Watters' FOX NEWS show Wednesday that the Biden Family has been under federal surveillance "for years." Their Chinese partners, including Patrick Ho of CEFC, were being spied on through a FISA warrant, so they would have been scooping up the Bidens' communications with Ho and other executives. So, the FBI has apparently known all along what was up with the Bidens and all that money, at least from China, and would have known it even without that laptop. They also had no reason to doubt the laptop was real. But they kept it all quiet for Joe Biden, to protect him during his campaign and after his election.
This is astonishing, but Sperry wrote about it last July.
Victor Davis Hanson has a great column outlining the differences between Trump's and Biden's possession of classified documents. If anyone tries to tell you that Trump's possession of classified docs was somehow more serious, show them this. It's just the opposite, and he explains point-by-point exactly why.
Finally, a truly rare event: the writers of the Huckabee newsletter regret to say they must issue a correction. We reported that Charles McGonigal, the former FBI agent indicted this week for taking money as a foreign agent, and Hunter Biden, the devil-may-care international businessman who might be tied to McGonigal through Albania and CEFC, both had daughters who played on the same soccer team. We are sorry to say that this is not true. It was a lacrosse team.
4. Joe Biden has been less than helpful

Hard to believe this was reported by CNN, but you know all those people trying to excuse President Biden for possessing classified documents because he was “fully cooperative” with authorities? Well…not so much.
According to this report, Biden wasn't willing to let the FBI search his house, and the only reason he allowed it was that the DOJ told him the alternative was that they’d get a warrant. That’s when he suddenly became cooperative. More on this later, I assure you…

6. Update on Project Veritas' Pfizer Expose

Yesterday, we brought you the Project Veritas story about an undercover video they’d made of someone they’d identified as Jordan Trishton Walker, an R&D executive for mRNA “scientific planning” with Pfizer Inc. What this person said about the origins of COVID and the research Pfizer was secretly conducting --- infecting monkeys with mutated viruses so they could speed up creation of anticipated vaccines --- was so candid and so conveniently on-the-nose that we wondered about the authenticity of the video. Maybe this was an actor; maybe Project Veritas was being punked.
But as far as we can tell, he’s a real person and a real executive at Pfizer. He defended himself to James O’Keefe later by saying, “I was trying to impress a person on a date! By lying. This is absurd.” He said he was “literally trying to help the public.”
But in the video, Walker makes it clear that “the public” has been deliberately left in the dark about this research. Sure sounds like gain-of-function research, though Walker says “it’s a little bit different.” This is called “directed evolution.” So, is Pfizer mutating COVID? “Well, that is not what we say to the public,” he says… “You obviously don’t want to advertise that you are figuring out future mutations.”
“They’d rather we not [publicize it], but we do these selected structure mutations to try to see if we can make them more potent.”
What could possibly go wrong?
Walker smiles like a Cheshire cat when asked about this as a business model. Whether they anticipate the right variants or not, “either way, it’s going to be a cash cow. COVID will probably be a cash cow for us for a while going forward,” he says with a laugh.
He also talks about the “revolving door” we’ve discussed: “So, in the pharma industry, all the government officials who, you know, review our drugs, eventually come work for pharma companies. And the military --- all the army and defense government officials eventually go to work for the defense companies afterwards.” So there you are; he sure wasn’t lying about that.
And how does he feel about it? “It’s pretty good for the industry, to be honest,” he says with that perpetual smile. “It’s bad for everyone else in America.”
As Tucker Carlson reported Thursday, the story about such dangerous and horrifying research transcends politics, and in the 24 hours following the release of the Project Veritas video, it has been viewed over 12 million times on Twitter. Yet with all the public interest in the story, the media, so far, have left it alone. “No other media outlet,” he said, “has covered the story --- at all.” You’d think they’d at least be trying to discredit it and, if they could, would be airing those stories.
As of last evening, CNN and MSNBC had devoted a total of “zero seconds” to the story. Of course, it’s duly noted that they rake in enormous advertising dollars from Pfizer. According to Tucker, there’s “a near-total media blackout” on this. Also, he said, if you ‘google’ the name of the Pfizer executive in the video, Google has (not surprisingly) made it very difficult for users to find out anything about him.
We didn’t try this, as we don’t use Google.
See Walker’s response to being caught on video in Tucker’s report, which also includes a Q&A with Dr. Robert Malone. In an astonishing scene with O’Keefe, Walker calls the police on him and complains that there are too many “white people” in the room. He then melts down in a full-blown panic attack, as it obviously has dawned on him what he’s just said in public on video. Smile, you’re on Candid Camera.

Pfizer has had no response to questions from FOX NEWS about this. Dr. Robert Malone, a guest on the show, said, “It appears that they are recapitulating exactly what was done at the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” using monkeys instead of humanized mice. He also noted that “the virus is outrunning them,” meaning they can’t construct new vaccines fast enough, “and they’re having to resort to extraordinary measures” by “crossing the line” and “breaking the law.” It’s “an acknowledgment of defeat.”
It should go without saying that in doing this research, they’re taking us back to the very scenario in Wuhan that gave us COVID (allegedly!) But with their money, power and global reach, they can go just about anywhere in the world they need to go to define their own rules.

Now, with the Pfizer story in mind, take a look at what the Biden administration, Big Tech, academia and corporations are doing to try to silence those of us concerned about COVID vaccines. Of course, they’re just fighting vaccine “misinformation.” Have you noticed that the people most concerned with “misinformation” are typically the ones who spread it the most? And that particularly applies to vaccines.
As reported in JUST THE NEWS, this collaboration “has expanded to adapt military-grade artificial intelligence once used to silence the Islamic State (ISIS) to quickly identify and censor American dissent on issues like vaccine safety and election integrity, according to grant documents and cyber experts.” The National Science Foundation has funded it, to the tune of several million dollars.
Once again, our own government is taking programs originally designed to use against enemies around the world and turning them inwards on Americans. This is what they do now.
According to a report from Mike Benz, executive director of Foundation for Freedom Online, “One of the most disturbing aspects...is how similar they are to social media network censoring and monitoring tools developed by the Pentagon for the counterinsurgency and counterterrorism contexts abroad.”
“The new version of this technology,” he said, “is openly targeting two groups: those wary of potential adverse effects from the COVID-19 vaccine and those skeptical of recent U.S. election results.”
As for election skepticism, Benz said it was in 2016, with Trump’s election, that the government started turning against American citizens. “Domestic populism was seen as a real national security threat,” he said. Recall that the DOJ hardly hid their disdain for it, even as expressed by concerned parents at school board meetings.
To understand the connections, follow the (taxpayer) money and the technology. Money flows from the government to universities and non-government entities (NGOs) through grants to develop censorship technology, which is then shared with media "fact-checkers" --- who are really there to check your opinion --- “who in turn assist private-sector tech platforms [like Facebook?] and tool developers that continue to refine the tools’ capabilities to censor online content.”
Get the idea? It’s going to take more than Elon Musk to destroy this spider web, though his effort to open up Twitter is a great start. JUST THE NEWS has more detail about the various tools being developed, such as something called Course Correct, “a precision tool providing journalists with guidance against misinformation.” Co-created by Joy Reid and Lesley Stahl. Kidding.
Additional funding for these programs provided by Pfizer Inc. Kidding again, but for all we know, it’s true.

FINALLY, THIS: At the same time, we have a note of encouragement for all who care about the First Amendment. That lawsuit by the Louisiana and Missouri attorneys general has led to a Louisiana judge ordering the Department of Homeland Security to release files dealing with cybersecurity agents’ efforts to suppress social media content deemed to contain election “misinformation.” Great news! This lawsuit has already unearthed a treasure trove of information, and now we can look forward to more.
