China UFO worries

The White House still isn’t telling the public what those aerial objects it shot down last week were, if it even knows itself yet. But this might solve the mystery of the one shot down over Alaska. The Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade (NIBBB), an Illinois-based hobbyist club, said they had a pico balloon (a balloon students use for science projects that costs about $12) that matched its description, and it went missing off the west coast of Alaska on the very same day that a US military jet shot down that now-famous “unidentified object.”

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cruz-responds-biden-authorized-200-million-fighter-jet-shoot-science-project

The idea that the President sent a $200 million jet to fire a $400,000 missile at a $12 balloon is sparking understandable mockery, with Sen. Ted Cruz tweeting, "To be fair, Biden is providing powerful deterrence for any high school science clubs that might try to invade America…”

To be really fair, I could say, “Hindsight is 20/20,” “Better safe than sorry,” etc. etc., but can’t we at least get a few laughs for all the money this cost us? Besides, if Biden’s going to get us into a war with anyone, wouldn’t you rather it be high school science clubs than China or space aliens?

On that subject, here’s former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (who was portrayed as an alien living on Earth in “Men In Black”) on the hidden true history of the government and UFOs, and why the real concern for America is China, not Alpha Centauri.

East Palestine, Ohio update

Here’s an update on the train derailment, toxic chemical spill and fire in East Palestine, Ohio, a place that our alleged “Transportation Secretary” Pete Buttigieg has yet to visit, what with his busy schedule of denouncing racist bridges and white construction workers.

https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2023/02/16/j-d-vance-and-east-palestine-mayor-sum-up-failed-response-of-biden-admin-n704751

One person who is on the scene is Ohio’s new Senator J.D. Vance, who had the best response so far to the federal government’s lack of response. He said that if the EPA administrator who declared the local tap water safe to drink really believes that, then he invited that official to come to the town and drink a glass of it in front of everyone. I wonder if he/she would find the water as hard to swallow as the government’s excuses, dismissals and blame-shifting?

Producer Price index rises

The Labor Department reported Thursday that the producer price index rose 0.7% in January, or 6% from one year before. That’s higher than the 0.4% predicted by economists. The producer price index measures inflation on the wholesale level, and this points to consumer prices continuing to rise in the near future. This follows news earlier this week that consumer prices (the goods we’re already buying) rose by 0.5% in January, or 6.4% from a year before.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/wholesale-inflation-surges-january-more-expected-high-prices-persist

So when you hear the President and his apologists assuring you that inflation is dropping, that means prices aren’t rising quite as fast as they were last year, but they’re still going up at three times the rate they were under Trump, and there’s no end in sight.

Senator Fetterman

For the second time in two weeks, new Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman has checked himself into the hospital. The first time, he was feeling “light-headed,” and it was reported that he showed signs of seizures. This time, he cited severe clinical depression as the reason.

All these things could be caused by a stroke, which he suffered before the election, while the Party and all those around him covered up the severity of his health problems and continued pushing him to campaign and serve in the Senate when he should have been concentrating 100% on rest and recuperation. Now, many of us fear that this callous disregard for his well-being in pursuit of political power is taking an irreversible toll on his health.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/doctors-react-fetterman-checks-hospital-clinical-depression

The seriousness of this issue continues to be glossed over by his staffers, who claim he will “soon be back to himself,” which they have to know is at worst a lie and at best, a claim with no solid justification. It’s common knowledge that severe strokes can lead to issues like this, and the risk of further strokes rises if the victim doesn’t rest and avoid stress. Shame on the people who not only hoodwinked the voters but pushed Fetterman to gamble his health so they could grab a Senate seat.

But (and here’s something you won’t hear me say too often) kudos to MSNBC reporter Dasha Burns.

https://redstate.com/jenniferoo/2023/02/16/the-legacy-media-is-complicit-in-john-fettermans-downfall-but-they-really-dont-care-n704728

As Jennifer Oliver O’Connell of Redstate.com reminds us at the link, Burns interviewed Fetterman before the election and voiced concern that he was obviously having cognitive and communications problems. She was the only person in the non-conservative media who actually behaved like a real journalist and spoke the truth. For doing so, Fetterman’s campaign and the Democrats’ pet Chihuahuas in the media vilified her for being “ableist,” which apparently now means daring to point out when someone is clearly not able to handle the job he’s running for.

And these heartless hacks wonder why the American people have less trust in the media than in used car salesmen and why a recent poll found that more than half of the public believe that the media prioritizes promoting their own political agendas over informing the public.

Social media CEOs get subpoenas; Elon cautions against “world government”

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is making good on his promise to look into Big Tech’s censorship practices, particularly regarding COVID. The committee has sent subpoenas to the CEOs of five social media mega-corporations “for documents and communications relating to the federal government’s reported collusion with Big Tech to suppress free speech,” they announced in a statement on Wednesday.

Subpoenas were served on:

Sundar Pichai of Alphabet, parent company of Google

Andy Jassy of Amazon

Tim Cook of Apple

Mark Zuckerberg of Meta (Facebook)

Satya Nadella of Microsoft

These subpoenas really are a last resort, as the committee has been trying since December to engage with the five companies. Apparently, there was no cooperation from any of the CEOs. Would anyone have expected differently?

According to Debra Heine at AMERICAN GREATNESS, House Republicans are “looking into allegations that [the] Biden regime colluded with big technology and social-media companies to censor legitimate views on issues such as COVID-19 policy that countered the Biden White House’s propaganda.”

The purpose of this effort, Jordan said, is “protecting and advancing fundamental free speech principles” and “examining how private actors coordinate with the government to suppress First Amendment-protected speech.”

The WASHINGTON EXAMINER has more.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/restoring-america/fairness-justice/jordan-subpoena-big-tech-content-moderation

Did you notice that one Big Tech corporation’s CEO is NOT on the list? It’s Twitter, of course, because CEO Elon Musk has been doing plenty on his own to protect speech by exposing the collusion between government agencies such as the FBI and private companies to suppress it. The “Twitter Files” have told us far more about how content moderation works than we’ll probably ever hear from the other CEOs, who have until March 23 to comply.

We’re also learning a great deal about this from the court filings from a lawsuit brought against the Biden administration by the state attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri. In fact, there’s breaking news on that front. As the WASHINGTON EXAMINER reports, a request filed Wednesday in that case “revealed that officials at the White House and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regularly communicated with social media platforms about their content moderation decisions.”

Missouri AG Eric Schmitt said in a statement, “We have already received a number of documents that clearly prove that the federal government has an incestuous relationship with social media companies and clearly coordinate to censor freedom of speech, but we’re not done. The Department of Justice is cowering behind executive privilege and has refused to turn over communications between the highest-ranking Biden Administration officials and social media companies.”

The ‘Justice’ Department has identified at least 45 federal officials at various agencies who were “regularly communicating” with social media platforms about so-called “misinformation.” There are apparently others, officials at other agencies, whom they so far have “declined” to identify. More details here...

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/technology/cdc-white-house-communicated-social-media-misinformation

When Mark Zuckerberg gets before the Judiciary Committee, he’ll likely be asked about some of the findings from this lawsuit. Example: We know at least 32 federal officials --- including senior officials at the FDA, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (editorial aside: !!), and the White House (editorial aside: !!!) --- have communicated with Meta about content moderation on its platforms. Let’s dig into those conversations.

Still, if these CEOs are called to testify, I wouldn’t expect to get a whole lot out of them. Recall that when former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was in the hot seat at a hearing with the House Energy and Commerce Committee in 2018, his answer to the question of whether his company “shadow-banned” was simply NO. Same for “censored.” Clearly they did, and he surely was aware of this, but the definitions of “shadow-ban” and even “censor” are apparently malleable enough for him to weasel out of a perjury charge, at least with THIS ‘Justice’ Department, which will offer him whatever escape hatch he needs.

https://nypost.com/2022/12/10/jack-dorsey-told-congress-under-oath-twitter-was-not-shadow-banning/

The work of congressional committees is supposed to serve a legislative purpose, and this one’s certainly does. As the committee states in the subpoenas, “To develop effective legislation, such as the possible enactment of statutory limits on the Executive Branch’s ability to work with Big Tech to restrict the circulation of content and deplatform users, the Committee on the Judiciary must first understand how and to what extent the Executive Branch coerced and colluded with companies and other intermediaries to censor speech.”

Speaking of Twitter and Elon Musk, there’s one more reason to be appreciative of him: the message he had for the 10,000 attendees of the 2023 World Government Summit that was just held in Dubai. Did you know there WAS a “World Government Summit”? Don’t like the sound of that, especially after seeing that the keynote address was given by none other than the scary power-mad Bond villain Klaus Schwab.

https://www.worldgovernmentsummit.org/home

The participants at the World Government Summit are described as “government officials, thought leaders, global experts, and decision makers,” and that sounds like just the audience that needs to hear someone like Musk speak out AGAINST world government. Perhaps it made him the fly in the punch bowl with this crowd, but that’s just what he did.

He explained why a one-world government would lead to collapse of civilization as a whole.

“All throughout history, civilizations have risen and fallen,” he said, “but it hasn’t meant the doom of humanity as a whole because there have been all these separate civilizations that have been separated by great distances... “So I think we have to be a little bit cautious about being too much of a single civilization, because if we are...then, the whole thing may collapse...We want to have some amount of civilizational diversity such that if something does go wrong with some part of civilization, the whole thing doesn’t collapse and humanity keeps moving forward.”

Watch him here.

https://caldronpool.com/elon-musk-warns-world-government-summit-that-a-global-government-could-lead-to-civilizational-collapse/

The full interview with Musk runs a little over 30 minutes and I hope you’ll make the time. They discuss why he bought Twitter, with Elon saying he was “a little worried” about “the direction and the effect of social media on the world.” He thought it needed to be a sort of “digital public square” that could operate with “the least amount of censorship.” He didn’t think it was right to “put a thumb on the scale beyond the laws of the countries.” He didn’t think it was right to impose the values of, “essentially, San Francisco and Berkeley.”

In a moment of understatement, he said that Twitter had been doing “a little too much” to impose those values on the rest of the world. He wanted to “correct that thumb on the scale, if you will.” They address other issues as well, even the question of space aliens.

RELATED: Matt Taibbi, who has been working with Musk to process and release the “Twitter Files,” participated in a debate in Toronto with partner Douglas Murray, and they SLAYED their opponents with their argument that the mainstream media (American and Canadian) should not be trusted. In fact, they won by the largest margin ever at these debates. Much of their argument involved the Canadian trucker protest and the failure of the media to counter the prevailing false narrative that it was organized by bigots.

As persuasive as these two are, they might want to take their show on the road. Congratulations to them!

The passing Of Raquel ends my Generation of a pure beautiful woman, all the boys in the 70's 80 90 until her passing viewed her as God's gift to what is left of today's women loving males;.my generation has not met her replacement. Not to say; we the true males do see beautiful women all around us and the world has many, real guys love being girl watchers I am thankful the world is full of Stooges like Lemon and Buttigie and those males that don't have interests in women let those males find beauty in other males. Mike, does the WH Press show come with a warning that one will become less intelligent watching this person called Karine Wow how did one pack so much stupidity into that small girl package. My wife watches her I think she is measuring stupid I had told my wife after watching Karine to go to the decompression chamber and forget all that she has heard before talking to me. I see enough stupid while out in public on todays streets.
