DAILY BIBLE VERSE
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13
Certain Internet “gatekeepers” have decided my newsletter's fate...
I wrote recently about an investigation into all the liberal groups that fund and feed “information” to the A.P., and how that helps to explain why so many “news stories” on subjects like “climate change” read like activist group press releases. From those stories, you’d think there is no other viewpoint other than turned-up-to-11 hysteria. But that’s not at all true, as this story shows.
Unfortunately, if I summarize that story for you, it would possibly result in this newsletter being demonetized or blocked or having our ads removed by certain Internet “gatekeepers” who have decided that their views are the only objective truths allowed to be aired in public. This is why, if you’d like to help pay my staffers so that we can keep bringing you the real stories every American needs to know, you should subscribe to the Substack version. Just click here:
https://govmikehuckabee.
You’ll find subscription plans as low as $3 a month for the full newsletter with exclusive subscriber-only content, no gatekeeper censorship, and no ads. Plus, you get a 20% discount on “Huckabee” merchandise, so unlike an electric car, it really does pay for itself! But sorry, no government subsidies.
I email daily and my politics newsletters usually take 10-15 minutes to read. I cover the news of the day and the liberal media. I write about the upcoming elections and dive deep on the Biden scandals. I will also share my opinion of the Trump indictments. I don’t think you will regret supporting a reporting of the facts, not the liberal bias the mainstream media gives you these days!
With gratitude,
Mike Huckabee

Another nuisance lawsuit
As we were going to press, breaking news arrived that Hunter Biden’s lawyers are suing Rudy Giuliani and his businesses, alleging that they “hacked and manipulated” data left on his abandoned laptop before giving it to the New York Post. They’ve previously sued the computer repair shop owner where Hunter left the laptop in spite of the law forfeiting ownership after a certain period, and the IRS for “embarrassing” Hunter by releasing information revealed by whistleblowers, which was legally released by the House Committee they testified before.
https://dailycaller.com/2023/09/26/hunter-biden-rudy-giuliani-laptop
I’m sure we’ll have more on this soon, but it looks like another nuisance lawsuit designed to paint poor Hunter as a victim and distract from the jaw-dropping contents of the laptop, which have been verified by a number of news organizations, even the New York Times and the Washington Post, albeit at glacial speed in their cases.
Debate Info
The RNC announced the list of seven Republican candidates who qualified to appear in tomorrow’s second GOP primary debate. The only one who made the first debate but didn’t make the cut for the second is former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson. Former Arkansas Governors who run for President never get a break! Donald Trump will not be participating because…well, he’s Donald Trump. He’ll be speaking to striking UAW workers and drawing attention away from the debate, of course.
Don’t Mess With Texas:
If you think you’re going to invade America and just take over, you might want to wait until you’re in a blue state before actually planting your national flag on US soil. Blue state politicians will applaud your diversity and representation as you conquer their territory for the homeland, but that garbage doesn’t fly in Texas.
Exciting new fuel breakthrough

Lesson not learned
I was hoping that corporations had learned their lesson about diving into the culture wars, but it’s going to take more pain for some of them. For instance, Burger King, Hello Fresh and the online clothing site, Asos. All three pulled their advertising from Rumble because unlike other platforms, they refused to censor or demonetize Russell Brand.
The British comic-turned-anti-establishment podcaster was anonymously accused of sex crimes dating back 10 years or more in the British media, and was immediately dropped by his agent and publisher, his comedy special was removed from streaming, his comedy tour canceled, he was demonetized by YouTube, and a British government MP wrote to Rumble pressuring them to drop him. They refused because (A.) his videos have nothing to do with this subject, and (B.) he hasn’t even been charged with anything, much less convicted.
To be clear: the allegations are very disturbing, and if these women want to bring them into court, then they deserve support, and if convicted, Brand should pay a heavy price. But he strongly denies the allegations, and he’s entitled to the presumption of innocence without having his livelihood taken away based on anonymous allegations.
Unfortunately, the CEOs of these companies decided to take a stand on behalf of wokeness, censorship and trial-by-Internet, and I fear they may find that blade cuts both ways. There’s already a call among conservatives and libertarians to make Burger King the next Bud Light (again, to hammer this home for those slow on the uptake: not to defend rape, but to defend due process rights.)
Meanwhile, suspicion is growing that this was a coordinated media hit on Brand motivated more by his criticism of government, Big Pharma and the Ukraine war than his sexual behavior. Defenders note that when Brand was using drugs and being hedonistic (and was a typical kneejerk liberal), the media ran stories about what a charming rogue he was. Now that he’s a sober family man who’s changed his political views, they’re dragging up old charges they ignored for a decade.
It's also hard to explain why the same celebrities who are condemning Brand before he’s even been charged worked for years with now-imprisoned rapist Harvey Weinstein, when they knew what he was all along but ignored it, and gave a standing ovation at the Oscars to Roman Polanski, who was charged with drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl, struck a plea deal, then fled the US to escape justice.
FYI: Paramount Plus pulled Brand’s comedy special, but is still airing movies Weinstein produced and Polanski directed.
Celebrity Hypocrisy News Round-up
Example #1: A number of leftist celebrities, including Mark Ruffalo, Ariana Grande, LeVar Burton, Rob Reiner and more, are supporting a Soros-backed initiative called the “Banned Bookmobile” that falsely labels the effort to get sexually inappropriate books out of elementary schools as “book banning.”
Fact: None of these books are “banned.” They are still readily available to adult readers, and even to older students in many cases. Preventing young children from being exposed to them is not “banning” them. If so, then how can these people work in an industry with an MPAA rating code that labels some films as R or NC-17, meaning that they’re inappropriate for kids under 17? If they think that keeping adult books out of the hands of children is “book banning” and they oppose it, then why are they in favor of "banning movies?"
Example #2: A number of big-name musicians, including Billie Eilish, Sheryl Crow, Nile Rogers, Peter Gabriel and more, joined to release a video under the name “Artists for Action to Prevent Gun Violence,” urging their fans to demand stricter gun control laws. As the linked article points out, they don’t suggest any particular laws, and the most notorious mass shootings would not have been stopped by any of the laws usually pushed.
My question would be, “If I give up my guns, will these celebrities pay to provide me and my family with the same armed security they enjoy?”
Best wishes
An investigator with the Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney’s office accidentally shot herself in the leg while using the bathroom in the same courthouse where Trump and his associates were arraigned. Being a nice person, I will send her best wishes to get well soon and let you make your own “shoot yourself in the foot” jokes.
Menendez update: 5 Key Points
For those just coming in late to the indictments of Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife, here are five key points that will raise your eyebrows to your hairline.
I have to give this to today’s Democrats, from Hunter Biden to Bob Mendendez to Harvey Weinstein to Sam Bankman-Fried: when it comes to indictments, they don’t make you work hard to invent criminal charges out of nothing, the way they had to with Trump. They give you outrageous criminality on a silver platter that’s about as subtle as a Baz Luhrmann movie.
Fake News Alert:
No, Sen. Rand Paul didn’t come to work in his bathrobe. That was just a joke meme created with AI. But under the new John Fetterman Senate dress code, he could have.
James O’Keefe shows that the police state is here
If you have any doubt we currently live in a police state, this video James O’Keefe made of FBI agents raiding and searching his home will erase it. Two members of his team, Eric Cochran and Spencer Meads, were also raided, and Eric got some video. Recall that this intrusion was over the matter of the Ashley Biden diary, which O’Keefe never even chose to report on.
It was only later that they found out the FBI had secretly gained access to their emails and concealed that fact from the court hearing their case in the Southern District of New York. Microsoft, Uber and Google, O’Keefe says, were approached by the FBI for information about them as journalists, “including emails between us and our attorneys.”
O’Keefe found out through a Microsoft whistleblower that the FBI had done their trick of going to different magistrate judges to get their warrants rubber-stamped. (Microsoft and other entities had even been handed “secrecy agreements” prohibiting them from disclosing this surveillance to anyone, even after the raids.)
These actions by the DOJ were so egregious that even the ACLU came out in support of O’Keefe’s media group. (And that’s saying something!) O’Keefe and his colleagues are asking for the affidavits to be unsealed so these journalists can see the probable cause for the surveillance and the raids, during which even their journalistic notes were seized, in violation of an apparently toothless order signed by Attorney General Merrick Garland in July 2021.
More here, plus video of the FBI raids…
The Hunter/Menendez connection; Gal Luft gives new evidence to impeachment inquiry
First a recap and update: Yesterday, we included a story that suggested a tie between Hunter Biden and newly indicted Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey, not really knowing what the significance might be. The news also broke that Menendez had hired the same lawyer, Abbe Lowell of the Democrat powerhouse firm of Winston & Strawn LLP, who is Hunter’s lead defense attorney in the tax/finance case supposedly being investigated by Special Counsel David Weiss. Lowell is the same attorney who got him off with a hung jury the last time he went to trial.
https://dailycaller.com/2023/09/25/bob-menendez-hires-hunter-bidens-lawyer-bribery-defense/
But today, it’s reported that a 2010 email from Hunter’s infamous laptop, uncovered by the non-profit investigative group Marco Polo, raises questions about the extent of Sen. Menendez’ connection to the Bidens.
In this email, Menendez’ chief of staff, Danny O’Brien taps Hunter Biden and his former business partner Eric Schwerin with a request for --- what else? --- access to the Big Guy, a.k.a. Vice President Biden.
The email apparently was written after Joe Biden’s office had already turned down a request to give the keynote speech for the “United States – Spain Council’s Annual Forum” in July 2010. (And this was long before he started “putting a lid on the day” at 4PM or whenever.) O’Brien asked Hunter and Schwerin to extend an invitation to VP Biden to please do this.
Details on this developing story are at the link. As HeadlineUSA.com reports, “The contents of the email, dated April 7, 2019, reveal that Menendez had already established a backchannel through Hunter. It is not immediately clear how or when Menendez’ office began communicating with Hunter’s associate.”

Now to the main story: One of the more obscure names in the Biden corruption investigation is Gal Luft, the Israeli professor and former Israel Defense Forces officer who has been a fugitive for six months after skipping bail in Cyprus, where he’d been awaiting extradition on what he has said are bogus arms-dealing and foreign lobbying charges. Luft has reached out to the House impeachment inquiry with new evidence.
In an open letter to House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer of Kentucky, Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan of Ohio, and Ways and Means Committee Chair Jason Smith of Missouri, the three who are heading the impeachment inquiry, he told them that the very same day (July 30, 2017) Hunter gave an ultimatum to CEFC executive Raymond Zhao (recall the threatening message on WhatsApp, with Hunter saying his dad was sitting right there next to him), an FBI mole dubbed “One-Eye” --- you can’t make this stuff up --- tipped off Hunter and his Chinese partners that the partners had been named in four sealed indictments by prosecutors in the Southern District of New York.
According to Luft, CEFC executive Patrick Ho, who was staying in a Manhattan hotel at the time, received an urgent phone call later that night from CEFC president Chan Chauto in Shanghai, telling him to leave the U.S. immediately. Ho flew to Hong Kong the next day and remained there for four months. On September 10, 2017, Hunter would sign an attorney engagement letter agreeing to represent Ho for a $1 million retainer.
Luft says that sometime in September, Hunter and his uncle Jim flew to Hong Kong to meet with Ho. They asked him to buy two “burner” iPhones for them before telling him the coast was clear to fly back to New York. But wherever they got that idea, they were wrong! When Ho landed at JFK Airport in November, he was arrested on charges of bribery and money laundering. The first call he made after his arrest was to Jim Biden, looking for Hunter. Hunter asked another lawyer, Edward Kim, to do the legal work, possibly because Hunter was too busy smoking crack. We made that last part up, but it might very well be true; who knows?
Later that day, Kim emailed Hunter asking him to “find the names of the FBI agents you spoke with, that would be helpful.” Hunter replied, “Working on it.” “The FBI agents”??
On the same day as Hunter’s “shakedown” WhatsApp message, Zhao told him in a follow-up message that “CEFC is willing to cooperate with the family. [Aside: note his choice of words, “the family.”] He thinks now the priority is to solve the problem mentioned last night.” Luft believes “the problem” refers to the indictments by the Southern District of New York. As you know, within 9 days of this shakedown by Hunter, CEFC would wire $5.1 million to entities in the U.S. to transfer to Hunter.
In his letter to the committees, Luft wrote, “The existence of a potential mole within the FBI and/or Justice Department who conveyed to Chinese individuals information about sealed indictments has, apparently, to this day never been solved. Perhaps Congress should investigate the issue as part of its impeachment inquiry.” Perhaps indeed.
Comer said that Luft’s letter was “helpful,” and that he looked forward to investigating Luft’s allegations of an FBI mole. His committee, he added, would like to interview Luft.
According to Miranda Devine, the timing of Luft’s emergence is fortuitous, because the impeachment inquiry that begins this Thursday will focus on the Bidens’ business relationships in China. “Comer,” she says, “is set to reveal two new tranches of evidence this week, including a new Chinese wire to Biden family members and new documents provided by the IRS whistleblowers.
Democrats smeared Chairman Comer in June for wanting to interview Luft, saying Luft was “a Chinese spy” because of his association with CEFC. (We would add that the Bidens also had an association with CEFC; what does that make THEM?) Comer had this comeback: “All I know is that [Luft] was getting money from the same company the Bidens were getting money from...is the President’s son a Chinese spy? They took money from the same company.”
To that, Rep. Dan Goldman of New York, who in his reflexive dishonesty is gaining a reputation as the perfect new spokesperson for the Democrat Party, actually said, “Who cares if they had money from the same company?”
Great report; recommended highly...

Miranda appeared on Monday’s HANNITY TV show, saying she sees this as “another piece of the jigsaw puzzle slotted into place.”
What we’ve just learned, she explained, is the timing of Hunter’s “shakedown” message to CEFC. It was the same day that Chinese business partner Patrick Ho got tipped off to drop everything and get out of America immediately. Too bad the whole Biden family didn’t do that; think what it would’ve saved the country from.
Hannity had another segment to discuss Sen. Menendez, now that he’s been charged with taking bribes for working on behalf of Egypt. Guests Clay Travis and Gregg Jarrett talked about this, with Jarrett saying, “Even a top lawyer like Abbe Lowell will not be able to help Bob Menendez weasel out of this one.”
This is in large part because the fingerprints of his co-defendant are on the envelopes filled with cash that were found in his house. Plus, the gold bars have serial numbers that are also linked to his co-defendant. And there’s much more, not the least of which is that he’s not a Biden (never mind the similarities in the allegations). Even Perry Mason couldn’t get this client off.
Note: Menendez claimed that the $480,000 in cash the FBI found in his house is his own savings, taken out of the bank over the years and stashed away for “emergencies” because “of the history of my family facing confiscation in Cuba.” I fear government confiscation of my money, too, because of Democrats like him, but that doesn’t hold water as an excuse. Aside from DNA and fingerprint evidence, and the unexplained gold bars, Menendez was born in New York five years before the communist revolution in Cuba.
His excuse is being met with widespread mockery, with some saying it’s ridiculous even by New Jersey political standards. But Menendez insists that he will be exonerated and remain Senator, adding, "The court of public opinion is no substitute for our revered justice system. We cannot set aside the presumption of innocence for political expediency when the harm is irrevocable."
I agree, and I will defend even his right to the presumption of innocence, but come on, you’ve gotta give me something work with!
