Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, is currently serving prison time after being convicted of defrauding a Native American tribe in a bond scheme.  The House Impeachment Inquiry Committee, chaired by Jim Jordan of Ohio and James Comer of Kentucky, has been looking into that case to see if Hunter’s involvement was covered up because of his father’s political position.  They’re demanding more information from the SEC.

At the time of that investigation, Hunter’s counsel wrote the SEC, saying, “...we request that you treat this matter with the highest degree of confidentiality, consistent with Commission policy and applicable law.  The confidential nature of this investigation is very important to our client and it would be unfair, not just to our client, but also to his father, the Vice President of the United States, if his involvement in an SEC investigation and parallel criminal probe were to become the subject of media attention.”

Hey, nothing like a little name-dropping.

Months later, seven people, including Devon Archer, were charged in the bond scheme.  Hunter was not.

In still more Hunter news --- are we ever NOT finding something else nefarious involving Hunter Biden? --- John Solomon has obtained documents relating to a Ukrainian mega-deal that have been kept under wraps for eight years.

The FBI learned as far back as 2016 that Hunter and his partners were setting up a new venture in tax-friendly Liechtenstein that would be capitalized by a $120 million investment from the owner of Burisma Holdings.  (That’s Zlochevsky, the one who, according to notes from an FBI interview, had claimed to have paid $5 million to one Biden and $5 million to another Biden.)  This was to be a huge hedge fund involving investors from all over the world, including Russia, China, Kazakhstan and Mexico, and apparently the Biden name was a key factor.

It wasn’t on the laptop, but apparently it was perking along while Hunter was on the Burisma board and his father was Vice President.  Looks like just more trading on the Biden connection.  Solomon has the details…
