On Monday, President Trump announced that Tuesday afternoon, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard will be releasing the rest of the John F. Kennedy assassination files.  This time it looks as though this is happening, as Trump himself has come out and told us to anticipate it.

“We have a tremendous amount of paper,” he said.  “You’ve got a lot of reading.  I don’t believe we’re going to redact anything.  I said, just don’t redact.  You can’t redact.”

There won’t be any executive summary, as is common with such releases, just the approximately 80,000 pages to go through.  So, yes, there WILL be a lot of reading.  As Trump put it you’ll “make your own determination” and “write your own summaries.”

J. D. Rucker at LIBERTY DAILY observed that “we should expect the Deep State to drop some sort of news ‘bombshells’ [Tuesday] to diffuse attention and give legacy something else to cover.”  (Of course, that’s assuming there’s any blockbuster information in these remaining papers.)  But with all the Trumps news that comes out every day, how would we even be able to tell they were doing that?

Nevertheless, “I would expect something big to drop tomorrow,” he said.  (He suggested as an example, “Nancy Pelosi announces her retirement.”  Oh, if only.)

“This is big,” he concluded.  “This is one of President Trump’s biggest promises that we’ve been waiting a very long time for.”  Let’s hope this is another example for Trump of “promise made, promise kept.”

Rucker is more confident that the records actually will be released this time because Tulsi is in charge.  The implication: that he’s as impressed with her integrity as we are.  (As Trump said, it involved the work of “lots of people, put together by Tulsi Gabbard.”)

Speaking of Tulsi Gabbard, did you see the story from last week about her going after leakers?  As she posted on X, “Our nation’s Intelligence Community must be focused on our national security mission.  Politically motivated leaks undermine our national security and the trust of the American people, and will not be tolerated.”  And she means it, too.

REDSTATE reports specific examples of the kind of unauthorized leaks she’s talking about.

Something else that’s getting lost in all the breaking news is this from JUST THE NEWS about the discovery that highly sensitive material was being forwarded to then-VP Biden’s private email account, a violation of federal regulations.  From their report: “Security experts and lawmakers who reviewed the records said they were disturbed by the nonchalant transmission of government information to Biden’s nonsecure private email accounts when he was vice president…”  But, hey, Hillary got away with it.  Besides, is this any more nonchalant than keeping classified documents in your unsecured garage next to your Corvette?

Now, on to more immediate news.  Of course, you know President Trump has declared Biden’s autopen-signed pardons and commutations null-and-void because Ol’ Joe was so out of it, he wasn’t aware of those signatures being made in his stead.

“The ‘Pardons’ that Sleepy Joe Biden gave the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT AND NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

In a subsequent post, he elaborated: “The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden.  He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime.”

This is about who was actually running our government.  And truthfully, we don’t know.

But Matt Margolis at PJ MEDIA points out something very interesting:  that Biden’s social media team has remained essentially silent about this (unless something’s happened in the past few hours to change the story).  As far as we know at the time of this writing, there’s not been one peep on Biden’s X account.  Odd.

And Joe himself could easily settle this by making a public statement that he was fully aware and approved of all of them. But…where is he? He seems to have sunk into the sand on a Delaware beach.

Margolis doesn’t think Trump’s goal is necessarily to fight the pardons in court, as that would likely be an uphill slog.  The real benefit is that “every legal challenge, every court filing, every public statement will keep this scandal front and center.  Even if the pardons ultimately stand, the damage to Biden’s legacy and the Democratic Party will be done.”

Margolis notes, as we have, that mainstream media have been slow to pick up this story, but he says he’s now seen reports in AXIOS, NBC NEWS, BLOOMBERG, THE HILL, USA TODAY, NEWS NATION, and ABC NEWS.  Really, that’s encouraging.  The autopen story would never have gotten much play --- maybe it would’ve just dried up, like old ink --- if Trump hadn’t made his stunning announcement to nullify those sketchy pardons.  As much as they might like to bury it, now they pretty much have to cover it.

“The story is out there now,” Margolis says, “which means that the American people will see exactly how the Deep State operates [well, operated?] with its cognitively challenged puppet, Biden.”  Margolis makes the point that it will be harder now for the mainstream media to bury the story with “prominent Democrats forced to defend their questionable pardons.”

Good reading…

Matt Margolis had another piece last Friday that also got lost in other breaking news, his commentary on a report from FOX NEWS Digital that in 2022, the FBI secretly obtained possession of the phones Trump and VP Mike Pence had used while in the White House.  This was part of their so-called “investigation” into J6, which apparently trumped (pardon the pun) any civil rights violations they might decide to pull.  Biden, or whoever was acting for Biden, played right along.

“The Biden White House turned over government cellphones belonging to President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence to the FBI in May 2022 as part of a bureau probe into the aftermath of the 2020 election, tying Trump to that investigation without sufficient predication,” FOX NEWS reported.

This is the operation that the FBI dubbed “Arctic Frost,” opened in April by then-FBI agent Tim Thibault (one of those names that turn up over and over in these stories).  We can’t help but wonder about the derivation of the name “Arctic Frost.”  These names are intentionally cryptic; agents never just come out and call them what they are, such as “Operation Put Trump Behind Bars.”

According to FOX NEWS, “Thibault broke protocol by taking action to open the investigation and involve Trump despite being unauthorized to open criminal investigations in his role.”  Only special agents were supposed to open criminal investigations; he wasn’t special enough.  But, hey, when it came to investigating Trump, who needed rules?

Thibault communicated in quite aggressive terms about “Arctic Frost,” vowing to make it “prioritized above all others in the Branch.”  In communications reviewed by FOX NEWS, he commented that “it frankly took too long for us to open this [investigation].”

“Biden’s Office of White House Counsel,” FOX NEWS reported, “under the leadership of Dana Remus and Jonathan Su, gave its blessing and accommodation to the FBI to physically obtain Trump and Pence’s phones in early May 2022.  Weeks later, the FBI began drafting a search warrant to extract the phones’ data.”  We’re not sure how far that process got.  Did they actually download the contents of Trump’s phone?  Stay tuned.

In news that should surprise no one, whistleblower reports reveal an aggressive targeting of Trump and his allies.  As Margolis reports, “The disclosures were provided to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley [Iowa] and Senate Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson [Wisconsin], who sent them to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel on Thursday.”

Grassley and Johnson accompanied this information with a letter saying, “The new records we are making public point to an aggressive investigation run by anti-Trump agents and prosecutors intent on using every resource available to pursue Trump and his supporters.”

In an update to Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport members of the vicious gang Tren de Aragua despite DC Judge James Boasberg trying to make him TURN THE PLANE AROUND, here’s some advice:  never get into a debate with Trump adviser Stephen Miller.  Just don’t even try.  Read the transcript of Kasie Hunt’s interview with him on CNN; it’s hilarious.  She’s like the typical first-year law student being schooled by John Houseman in THE PAPER CHASE.

Oh, and you have to see him dissect Andrew Weissmann’s comments in an interview with FOX NEWS’ Martha MacCallum.  “Andrew Weissmann has devoted his career,” Miller says, “to putting innocent Americans in jail.  Taking away THEIR civil liberties,” and that includes Donald Trump during the Mueller investigation.  “And now he’s up there shilling for people who rape and murder Americans.”  A must-watch!

Judge Boasberg heatedly argued with the Department of Justice over his weekend order to Trump in a hearing Monday.  As reported by THE GATEWAY PUNDIT, the DOJ “obliterated” Boasberg, arguing that this judge has no jurisdiction over international airspace.

The judge reportedly claimed more than once that he has “equitable powers” to stop planes in midair.

He appears to have humiliated himself.  Wish we could have been in the courtroom to see that, but at least the great Margot Cleveland at THE FEDERALIST was there, and she concisely sums up what happened.  We look forward to her complete analysis, but in the meantime…

RELATED:  President Trump must be feeling emboldened after his dealings with Judge Boasberg over the weekend, because he announced Monday that he has ended Secret Service protection to President Biden’s adult “children,” Hunter and Ashley.  We’re not sure of the exact number of agents this has generally involved, but according to Trump, Hunter had 18 agents on his detail (!) and Ashley had 13.

The change was announced, perhaps for effect, while Hunter, his wife and toddler son were on a lavish vacation to South Africa, all the while protected at taxpayer expense.  (Not sure where the money for the vacation itself came from; we thought Hunter was supposed to be strapped.)  The NEW YORK POST reported last week that the Bidens took this international trip so that Hunter could avoid a deposition.

We do hope Hunter’s daughter in Arkansas continues to receive her child support.
