What Happened When Antifa Showed Up...

The media like to ignore the threat of Antifa, while President Biden claims they’re just an “idea” and the real terrorist threat to America is white Trump voters. So here’s what you probably didn’t see over the weekend:
Some women held a protest at a spa in Los Angeles after a “trans woman” exposed his/her/xir thoroughly male genitals to women and little girls in the women’s area. The spa claimed that it had to allow this person access to the women’s private areas because of California’s insane laws that Biden and the Democrats are trying to force onto the entire nation.
Well, some Antifa goons showed up to “counter-protest,” which means they wore masks to hide their cowardly faces and physically assaulted innocent (and actual peaceful) protesters, including women, children, a street preacher and also some media people.
One interesting moment came when they tried to pick on the wrong dude and he smashed one of them in the face with some extra-large rosary beads and dared them to make a move on him. They were so afraid of this one guy kicking their rear ends that they ran to the cops, whom they usually attack and want to do away with, for protection. Astoundingly, he was arrested instead of being given a medal and the key to the city, which he deserved. At the link, Nick Arama makes the point that if the “victim” presses charges, he’ll have to give his name, which could help identify a lot of his fellow criminal thugs.
What a bunch of big, brave, masked, unemployed sociology major “warriors” these people are.
Federal Judge Slaps Down Lawsuit

A federal judge slapped down a lawsuit by a liberal group trying to undo Georgia’s election integrity law that passed months ago just before next week’s run-off elections, on grounds that it’s too confusing to voters to make last-minute changes in the rules. He should’ve slapped their attorney for coming up with that argument.
Worth reading just for the laugh you’ll get when you see the name of this group of leftwing activists fighting against laws to ensure honest elections: “The Coalition for Good Governance.” Hope you didn’t spit coffee all over your monitor.
We Shouldn't Treat Seasonal Flu The Same Way As Covid

Some officials are now arguing that in light of COVID, we need to reconsider how we deal with seasonal flu and colds, and perhaps keep imposing the same kinds of precautions and restrictions to deal with them: masks, social distancing, etc.
That’s a hard “no” from me. First of all, we have vaccines for the flu. Second, hiding out from all germs and viruses doesn’t work, and even if you could avoid them all, it would only make your immune system weaker in the long run. Third, it also erodes freedom and ignores all the side issues of the COVID response, many of which were arguably worse than the disease.
Finally, these are the same officials who attack anyone who questions the severity of COVID by insisting that “it’s NOT a seasonal flu or the common cold!” Well, if seasonal flus and common colds aren’t anywhere near the threat of COVID, why react to them in the same draconian way? Would you amputate your arm if you got a blister on your finger? Wait, don’t ask Dr. Fauci that…

The "Former Senator"

Former Missouri Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill declared that she was starting a new Fourth of July tradition in her family to watch video of the January 6th Capitol riot and insisted there needs to be an investigation because it was worse than Benghazi.
Since I hold the idiocy to be self-evident, I’ll just make three quick points:
1. Terrorists in Benghazi destroyed our diplomatic outpost in Libya and murdered four brave Americans: security contractors Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, US Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith, and the US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens. I list their names because too many people would like us to forget them. This was also an attack on an American government installation and the murder of US officials.
On January 6th, the only person killed was an unarmed protester shot at point blank range by a Capitol Police officer who has been absolved of any wrongdoing and is yet to identified…maybe.
2. The deaths in Benghazi were both tragic and unnecessary: the attack on the anniversary of 9/11 was predictable, pleas for more security before the attack were ignored, and pleas for backup and rescue went unanswered. The day before the Capitol violence, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser rejected an offer of federal officers to provide extra security, insisting it wasn’t needed. This was one way in which it was actually similar to Benghazi: the failure of Democrats to do their jobs.
3. I am starting a new July 4th tradition in my family as well. We will all join together and thank God that Claire McCaskill is a “former Senator.”
