The Washington Free Beacon also chose its “Lie of the Year” for 2021, awarding “Four Bill Clintons” to President Biden for his promise, “I will shut down the virus.”

https://freebeacon.com/coronavirus/biden-covid-death/

Technically, that was a campaign promise, so it’s actually from 2020, but most people didn’t really know how big a lie it was until after he’d been in office for a year or so. They should have, however. Throughout 2020, Democrats like Biden tried to paint the virus as Trump’s fault, every death from it as his personal responsibility (some even claimed he wanted people to die), and his inability to cure it as proof that he was uncaring and incompetent.

That was, of course, all cruel, divisive, slanderous nonsense, and anyone who thought about it at all knew it at the time. I repeatedly pointed out that no President could possibly stop an airborne virus from entering America and spreading (Democrats claimed he couldn’t even keep illegal immigrants out of America, then fought to stop him; and when he tried to keep virus carriers from China out of America, they fought to stop him from doing that, too.) Nobody is to blame for this virus spreading around the world. Well, China, but we’re not allowed to say that, for some reason.

Of course, now that he’s the guy in charge, Biden has finally admitted that nobody, not even a President, has the power to keep a virus out of the country and there is no federal solution to the pandemic, just as Obama was eventually forced to admit that there were no “shovel-ready jobs” after we spent nearly a trillion dollars to create them.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/critics-slam-hypocrite-biden-for-claiming-no-federal-solution-to-pandemic-after-vow-to-shut-down-covid

Even though Biden took office at a time when vaccines had just become available and we'd learned a lot more about COVID and how to treat it, there have still been more deaths under his tenure than under Trump’s (over 420,000 so far compared to 402,269 under Trump.) But I wouldn’t blame Biden personally for those deaths, although I do believe that this Administration’s open hostility to virtually all potential therapeutic treatments in its single-minded obsession with vaccination hasn’t helped. In fact, Sen. Rand Paul blames Dr. Fauci’s negative attitude toward therapeutic treatments for thousands of deaths every month.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/rand-paul-thousands-monthly-covid-deaths-fauci-vaccine-bias

And the government’s isolating lockdown policies and mandates that have contributed to rising depression, suicides and drug addiction are a separate lethal issue. But no, I don’t think it’s Biden’s fault when someone contracts COVID.

That said, it’s a stone cold fact that there have been more COVID deaths under Biden than under Trump. The fact that someone on CNN insisted that that’s “fake news” and those numbers are “completely wrong” is just further verification that they are accurate.

Harry Reid entered the Senate as a man of very modest means.
    He left a multi-millionaire.
Please explore just exactly how did this happen.

    How come the Rittenhouse

I'm with you. Verification of anything negative about the "DEMONcrats" can be verified as true if CNN and other news media, says its not so.

How they can live with themselves not approving and administering the various medicines...regardless of what they are, because different things work for different people (gee go figure) is beyond me. Truly. To diss the people who choose not to have a vaccine..or CAN'T have a vaccine and blame them for all the 'spread' is disgusting. Truly. All the best to you and your family sir.

Kelleigh did a great job on this article.
Trump has made many fatal mistakes and then I had to watch him endorse Grassley, who is one of Biden's 13. Grassley needs to retire before he does any more damage. He did some great things in his time, but he's slipping.

I reiterate my comments of last week and add to them the following:

    1. Trump clearly convened the mass mob that came to Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021 in an effort to contravene Senate action on the Electoral College.
    2. Trump clearly incited by his words and actions the anger directed against Vice President Mike Pence that could have even resulted in his death by hanging from an angry mob.
    3. Trump's statements you impute to him clearly did nothing to deter his mob -- the mob incited by words of Trump and Giluliani.
    4. Trump's statements "march peaceably to the Capitol" were clearly a joke. He certainly did not go there with them and he had told them it was time to stop being nice.
    5. I campaigned for and voted for Trump twice. I would NEVER do so again. His post-January 6th words and actions are depressingly reminiscent of Hitler's post-1923 Munich beer hall putsch ones. Organizing school boards and election officials was Hitler's winning strategy then and it appears, sadly, to be Trump's now.
    6. If Trump had only minded his manners and exercised common civility, he probably would have been re-elected, even with a possible landslide. As it was, his behavior was extremely polarizing and brought out both opposition in droves as well as the Republicans he had antagonized starting with his first campaign debates, of which you were one of the debaters. Rudeness was the his approach then and continued with unabated arrogance, turning off families like the Bush, McLain, and many others.

For the record, you were my original preferred candidate for President in 2016. I am a Christian and I am the author of THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW. I believe God allowed Trump to be there for the time he was, if for no other reason than to improve the Supreme Court. However, calling him "Cyrus" and "God's annointed, goes more than a wee bit far. Trump refused to denounce QAnon, clearly a dangerous New Age cult mixed with its "Christian" fifth column, the New Apostolic Revival of which one dangerous component is the Manifest Son of God movement of Bill Britton & others. I don't know how theologically you are informed on that Movement, but I give you the book LOVE JOY TRUMP by one "Bethanon" and most likely financially backed by Mike Lindell. Mike Lindell's "Expert" on the Dominion voting machines was "Code Monkey" who is Ron Watkins -- the most likely person to be the real "Qanon" inside person.

The Bible said there would be deception enough to deceive the very elect. It looks like it is here and now. Take a very good look at LOVEJOYTRUMP and read up on how he is helping to usher in the "Millennial reign of Christ on Earth", the "Age of Aquarius", Gaia worship, etc., etc.

Your comment: But no, I don’t think it’s Biden’s fault when someone contracts COVID.

But it is his fault because his open border policies have allowed 2 million illegals to cross our border and he has sent most of them throughout the United States spreading the virus everywhere! 70% of Americans have been vaccinated. That should have controlled the spread to a lesser degree, but the spread has worsen!

The lie of the year is that the vaccine IS a vaccine. As I told a student on the N. C. STATE site, by the logic they were shoving, the vaccine went from a preventive (which vaccines are) to making things milder. By that logic, the Salk vaccine meant you would get a milder case of polio, the Shindrex vaccine would mean you would get a milder case of shingles, the tetanus vaccine would mean you would get a milder case of blood poisoning. The Covid shot has instructions to create a protein and it is that protein your antibodies protect you from (source-Pfizer), which is why so many vaccinated people come down with Covid! Taking increased amounts of Vitamin D to boost your immunity and removing the masks to let your lungs function fully would be far better.

I have a liberal Democrat friend who is quick to remind me whenever I bring up a "lie" that Biden or anyone in his administration has told that the Washington Post Fact Checker identified 30,573 false or misleading claims that Trump made during his 4 years as President. He also does not acknowledge the good things that Trump was responsible for. How do I respond to his absurd claims? What can I say to him to "put him in his place?" I'm fed up with his continual references to Trump's so-called 30,573 lies. What is the credibility of the WaPo "Fact Checkers" who apparently subscribe to the Code of Principles of the Internation Fact Checking Network organization. What is the credibility of the latter?
