Will Cuomo Resign?!?

In the wake of a damning New York State Attorney General’s report that Gov. Andrew Cuomo violated state and federal laws by sexually harassing multiple women and creating a toxic workplace, Cuomo apologized to the women, attempted to brush it off as a misunderstanding, and made it clear he has no intention of resigning.

One of his accusers, Charlotte Bennett, didn’t buy his excuses or his apology. She told CBS News, "Accepting responsibility means stepping down, so I don’t believe him. I don't want an apology. It's not necessary. It's fake and his propaganda video was not only uncomfortable and inappropriate but downright weird and unnecessary…It is not protecting New York. He is not speaking for New Yorkers. He is not trying to do anything other than maintain the power that he has currently."
There are bipartisan calls for impeachment, and President Biden, who formerly praised Cuomo, and Speaker Pelosi both called on him to resign.
Meanwhile, the Albany County D.A. announced that he’s launched a criminal probe and is calling on Cuomo’s accusers to cooperate in building a case.

But will any of this actually lead to Cuomo resigning or being driven from office? Hard to say. He’s a powerful Democrat, and as they say about the rich, Democrats are different from you and me. They’re held to an entirely different standard. Democrats can riot, loot, assault police and burn down courthouses and be turned loose while a Republican who wanders through the wrong open door and takes a selfie gets branded a terrorist and insurrectionist and rushed off to prison without benefit of trial. Hillary Clinton can collude with the Russians and put government data on an unsecure private email server and skate away while Trump is hounded for years over a patently fake claim of Russian collusion. Telling the wrong joke can end a Republican’s career; Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam wore blackface and is still in office.
So while it looks bad for Cuomo, if he simply refuses to leave, I wouldn’t bet the farm on anyone in New York having the spine or principles to make him. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if New York prosecutors convict an elderly Trump Organization executive for not listing his parking space as taxable income before they actually prosecute Andrew Cuomo for multiple state and federal sexual harassment violations.
Speaking of people named Cuomo who never get held accountable, Chris Cuomo is still on CNN despite many stories that seriously call into question his professionalism and impartiality in covering his brother. Will this latest incident be the last straw?
Probably not. That might require CNN to show too much journalistic integrity.
Shocking, Disgusting Stories The Media Will Never Cover

On the subject of politically-connected leftist sexual predators, the news seems to be filled with them. I hate covering these stories because the details, like those of the Jeffrey Epstein case, are so shocking and offensive, but if conservative commentators don’t call them out, chances are they’ll be papered over by the media. For example, last week, longtime Dem fundraiser Ed Buck was convicted in Los Angeles in the deaths of two men whom he injected with meth in exchange for sex. It was reportedly part of a pattern of using drugs to lure black homeless men to his home for sex.
A county Democratic Party committee member called out the media and her own party for enabling Buck’s crimes by putting politics over doing what’s right and remaining silent about it.

And then there’s this story about high-living New York money manager and funder of liberal causes Howard Rubin, described as a right-hand man to socialist billionaire George Soros. I’m not even going to describe this story because it’s too revolting. I’ll just give you the link and a warning to brace yourself.
Note that his defense isn’t to deny the women’s allegations but that they should've known what they were getting into. Nice.
If you wonder why people like this have no qualms about forcing policies onto America that are morally repugnant and that are bankrupting the nation, note that one person describes Rubin as “morally bankrupt,” so maybe they have no problem with either immorality or bankruptcy.
More Proof Twitter Is Not Real Life

Nick Arama at Redstate.com offers this as more proof that Twitter is not real life: Nina Turner, a far-left, defund-the-police candidate endorsed by the Squad and Bernie Sanders, lost the Democratic nomination in an Ohio special election to a less radical rival with only about 20,000 Twitter followers.
“Progressives” being such gracious losers, in her “concession” speech, Turner raged, “We didn’t lose this race; evil money manipulated and maligned this election.” FYI: she raised over twice as much money as her successful opponent. Her followers on Twitter echoed her theme that the election was somehow stolen from her.
This also proves something else I’ve noticed lately: If a Republican questions the results of an election, that means he’s a treasonous insurrectionist who’s attacking democracy. If a Democrat claims an election was stolen, that means the Democrat must’ve lost it.
Learning From DACA

Remember how former President Obama repeatedly admitted he didn’t have the Constitutional authority to create DACA, then he went ahead and did it anyway? Well, his Vice President was obviously watching and learning.
Speaking of DACA, Biden’s Administration is defying an order by a federal judge to stop processing new applications while the program’s constitutionality is in question. Wait, I thought it was Trump who was violating the Constitution, and we needed to put Biden in office to restore the rule of law...
Since Biden's people have now established the precedent that a chief executive can simply ignore the rulings of federal judges if he thinks he’s right, I guess they’d be fine with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ignoring the judge’s order to stop preventing the Biden Administration from letting COVID-carrying illegal immigrants into Texas and busing them all over the state to fuel the pandemic.
A Hidden Cost Of The Biden Infrastructure Deal

Question: between rising inflation and the skyrocketing cost of gas, aren’t Democrats already doing enough to make driving more expensive? Hidden away in the 2,700+ page “scaled down” “infrastructure” bill now in Congress is a requirement that all new cars be equipped with a system that monitors the driver’s alcohol levels.

Not only does that represent more government intrusion that has nothing whatsoever to do with infrastructure, but it also means that teetotalers like me would have to pay more for cars to be equipped with technology to detect how much alcohol we didn’t drink. I might be willing to donate to a fund to put alcohol monitors into the cars of every Democrat in Congress. But just because they need them doesn’t mean the rest of us do.
