CNN is under fire for running the provocative and misleading headline “Georgia removes 100,000 names from voter rolls,” which prompted Robert Reich to declare on Twitter, “Our democracy is under attack.” But CNN omitted the important details that (A.) they were inactive voters, and (B.) all states routinely remove inactive voters from their voting rolls, as required by law.

The headline on this story could be “CNN promotes divisive, misleading partisan spin over journalistic accuracy,” but that wouldn't qualify as news.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger pointed out a few more details that CNN overlooked in trying to make it appear that Georgia is disenfranchising Democrat voters.

The number of voters purged is actually much smaller than in 2017 or 2019. Only 275 are on the list due to inactivity (five years or more with no contact with elections officials), but anyone who was removed mistakenly can re-register online in seconds. The vast majority are being removed because they filled out change-of-address forms or their election mail was returned as undeliverable. And 18,000 of them had died. Raffensperger said, “So they are not going to be voting anymore.”

On the other hand, you might take that as an admission that we’ve finally, at long last, found an actual example of Georgia disenfranchising a loyal Democrat constituency.

The Left should come right out and admit that they're more interested in elections that can be rigged than in ensuring legal, fair elections. One would think they would be embarrassed by charade they are promoting, Have they no shame?

I'm guessing that no longer breathing qualifies as "due to inactivity ". The 2020 election has taught us that most voting dead persons vote as "absentee". Makes sense to me!

These names were of 18,000 dead, 275 names of inactive voters and scores of people who "moved" to Georgia for the election. Do you think they were covering up evidence of voter fraud?

Based on what I’m seeing and reading, even Stacy Abrams is changing her tune on voter ID. I recently renewed my Missouri license, as of Oct. 1 2021 you are required to have real ID to board a plane, enter any federal building, and serves as a voter registration as well. This is a federal requirement so what’s the big deal with having to show ID to vote. This all is very confusing to me, it’s like do as I say, don’t ask questions and be a submissive little boy. Remove the deceased, the folks that have moved to new districts and have real uncompromising elections. I will save all the flap about our flag and the pledge of allegiance for another time. Thanks

When i purchased one of Macy Gray's cd's twenty years or so ago, i had no idea who she was personally. I just liked one of her songs. I never cease to be amazed at the level of ignorance of those who oppose "The Confederate Flag". Two words: credible sources!(but in all fairness, they're not easily found these days). If only I could return the cd and persuade the Governor of Mississippi to reinstate the 1894 flag. Lesson learned: be extremely careful who your hard-earned dollars go to and know what their agendas are. And finally, the American Flag is not replaceable, nor is the Holy Bible or whatever else the next small-minded big-mouthed rich or famous idiot recommends redesigning and regardless of the unsavory characters who use them as backdrops to their evil purposes.
