This has been a tough week for America. It’s been an embarrassing and disgusting week for those of us who believe that the recent Presidential election was tainted with unanswered questions about fraud and massive voting irregularities. Whatever hopes we had that there might be a sincere investigation into the evidence that the media claimed didn’t exist was wiped out by a hot-headed mob at our nation’s Capitol. To be clear, of the tens of thousands of protesters and demonstrators who descended on Washington, most really were peaceful, law abiding patriots who love God, their families and their country. But those who stormed our Nation’s Capitol, ignored and fought the police, broke windows and doors and vandalized the offices of members of Congress and the Capitol itself were not patriots. They were a mob. A violent, lawless, and reckless mob engaged in criminal acts. Some of those participating in this mayhem or who tried to defend it tried to compare the actions of the mob to those of our Founders in the American Revolution. The violence at the Capitol this week was not at all like the American Revolution.

The Revolution of 1776 was carefully thought out. It was meticulously planned, and carried out by people who had exhausted all avenues to peacefully secure their liberty and to rid themselves of the intolerable behavior of their mother country, England. They declared their independence in a carefully crafted document and pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. They did not act spontaneously or compulsively. Their actions were thoroughly contemplated and the consequences were fully understood. What happened this week was carried out by hot-headed people moved by raw rage. There was no rational consideration of the consequences. There are no excuses or explanations for endangering innocent people, destroying public property, and challenging the authority of law enforcement. Even if 95% of that crowd were God-fearing law-abiding citizens who are rightfully angry that their beloved Republic is being taken over by Marxists and the useful idiots in the media who follow along, there is still no justification for the mayhem. Some of the rioters even quoted Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., but Dr. King NEVER got so fed up with the horrible and unjust treatment by the government and said, “That’s it—let’s storm the Capitol and break windows and occupy the chamber.”

The American Revolution indeed became violent and resulted in a war but they were not a mob, who in a blind rage launched something they had no plan to fulfill. They articulated their grievances, requested relief, and only after all possible remedies were rebuffed did they declare independence.

WE must be the voice of reason and rationality. The mob set back the conservative patriotic cause of limited government and a government that provides justice equally. This angry mob of played right into the hands of the press and the left.

I support the many policies President Trump implemented to put America First. I’m glad he stood up to China and Russia, brought manufacturing jobs back to America, cut taxes because he believed that you could spend the money you worked for better than the government, fought to protect the lives of unborn children, protected religious liberty, stood with Israel against those who sought to annihilate her, and who appointed Constitutionalists to the courts. I don’t blame him because some who supported him devolved into criminal activity and tried to take over our nation’s Capitol. But to be fair and honest, his language about the election being stolen probably cost us 2 Senate seats in Georgia and gave some people the false sense that it was justifiable to storm past police barricades and take over the Capitol. Joe Biden will be the next President. It’s not who I voted for but I won’t burn down the country because he’s President. I will speak out for my views and I will faithfully vote in every election. But as disgusted as I was when Black Lives Matter and Antifa followers were burning our cities, looting stores and attacking police officers, I’m equally disgusted when people who may share many of my views do the same thing. I don’t care what their politics are, they are lawless thugs and need to be found, charged and prosecuted. I can’t teach my children and grandchildren to obey the rules of my house if I can’t be trusted to obey the laws of my nation!

I do share many of your viewpoints however, what is happening over the last week is inexcusable and malicious fascism driven by the Democrats whereby they are stomping on the 1st amendment rights of conservatives. You are all too aware of the social media sites unilaterally shutting down and banning conservatives and main stream media beating the drum of sensationalism and violence. Big tech, the historically liberal sounding boards, are now injecting their political leanings into the enablement of technology our world has come to rely on and squelching conservatives at every turn.
This country needs STRONG conservative leadership to reverse these trends. Indecision, wavering, and weak leadership is tantamount to No leadership. You need to lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way. So, are you capable of leading? If not and if other politicians don't soon step forward to actively support the constitution and the values this country was built on, then this precipice we are now peering over the edge of will be irreversible in very short order. My prayers are that this country can overcome this peacefully but I am questioning that with each passing hour as the Democrats stir their caldron of lies and deceit.

    Mike,
You said that there were “still unanswered questions about fraud and massive voting irregularities” in the 2020 election. Can you provide a list of these and, if possible, the status of the respective investigations? I will say that I already understand that in PA the PA Supreme Court allowed votes that the PA legislature had NOT allowed and that the US Supreme Court had refused to hear this case. We may not like this but, I think, we needed to accept this. I’m looking for ‘solid evidence‘ of significant fraud or significant voting irregularities. I think all the attention given to Dominion Voting Systems was NOT ultimately significant.

Mr. Huckabee - I respect you so much and read just about everything you post. I'm just wondering, though, since the debacle at the Capitol, you have never once mentioned the fact that it was not just Trump supporters that did this - but it seems that there were non-Trump supporters there as well and may have instigated the whole thing. I have seen videos and listened to eye-witness accounts. Do you not believe this? Either way, I agree that it was a horrible thing - but hard not to think that it was all planned way in advance. NPR made a post about the Capitol thing at 9:33 a.m. (way before it actually happened)!! Videos shows police letting people in! Thoughts?

Mike, I always agree with you whole-heartedly. But not today. Obviously, the riots were very bad and hurt our cause. But to equate them with the Antifa burnings and other destruction, includiing killings, is going much too far. The Capital rioters were stupid and immature, but their actions were more like a panty-raid (remember those?). When the police finally got enough help, they were able to push out the rioters with relative ease. The worst thing about the riots was giving the Democrats an excuse for removing more of our freedoms. Let's stay balanced.

Regarding the "mob" who breached the Capitol building last Wednesday, It appears (per Video from those who were there), that members of "Antfa" or some other similar group were actually escorted into the Capitol vicinity by Capitol police. VIDEO also shows capitol police standing back upon entrance and even leading rioters up stairs and into the congressional Chambers. Many of the perpetrators appeared to be dressed as Trump supporters, but many were dressed with hemets and other protective riot gear. With that said, I think definite distinction should be made when describing those who breached the Capitol. I fully agree the breach should never have occurred regardless of who was involved, but those who were brought in, (my guess is, by the left), were there to make it look like our President was to blame.

I do not believe President Trump would do anything to stir up violent behavior. It does not fit with who he is and all the work he has done to "Make America Great Again." I think it is extremely sad to see how many of his so-called supporters jumped ship as soon as the media made it sound like President Trump was at fault for the events of last Wednesday.

I disagree, Mike. the Tea Party was a local thing about an eggregorous tax on tea. What we are facing with this One World Order Socialism Agenda destroyed Venezuela. those people wished they had guns back when it was just starting. Religion is going underground and secret. guns? kiss em goodbye. People will die as brown shirts get really mean. like Crystal Naugt in Germany. They wished they had done something earlier to stop the killing. You think all this is going to be is Old Fashioned democrat control?? You will see and afterward, you will be asking, what could we have done to stop these SOCIALISTS before they got control? Blame the Dominion voting Machines. We will never have another Republican. They will put us in our place as sub-serviant and get RETRIBUTION on all us GOP'ers! I hate to tell you so BEFORE it happens. I hope I'm wrong. But WAR is going to get DIRTY and BLOODY and Lots of good people will die. the BAD people will die too, but they are so sneeky, and if we don't get rid of everyone of them, they will come back like reoccuring CANCER! You better get serious, before it is too late, Mike.

Yeah, it's been a tough week, and a tough 4 years to watch as evil prevailed. Russia collusion; nothing. The Democrats walked away from the lies with a phony impeachment. Score for them!

Replace Obama care by the Republicans? Nope, nothing going. Might rock the boat, and after all these folks want to remain in the inner circles of the DC elite.

And watch as two elections were stolen right under their noses! Nice job Republicans that didn't fight for the president. And now they are jumping ship like the rats they are.

We need a new Patriot Party that actually has a backbone and rights for "we the people!"

Obama and Biden killed the men in Benghazi not one thing was done! Plus the senators talked about how the capital building was history and deserved respect etc. We the American people deserve respect with LEGITIMATE

I think you are a great man, Gov Huckabee, and I abhor violence. I do not believe the President’s comments cost us the two seats in Georgia. I believe the Democrats would never have let us win. As for the actions of a few of the protesters, it was not action taken over a single act. It was four years of despicable treatment of a great man culminating in our justice system refusing to even consider the evidence. Nothing happened to Hillary, comey and the rest. Where is the Durham report? So much is so wrong. So many of us are angry and heartbroken. What happened to our country. I pray that god will bless and keep my president safe.

I agree that the assault on the Capital building was totally illegal and that those responsible must be punished. I am very disgusted that all the violence from earlier in the year is acceptable to the democrats and now they are holier than thou.
Don’t turn on the President now. There is still work to be done. The Democrats and the media must be taught a lesson. They cannot get away with lying to the American people and expect that everything will be ok. Don’t you see that the outrage is only a ploy to turn everyone against the President. The Democrats are smart and seem to have the upper hand. We need some people who will net be blown by every outrage of the hate Trump media and democrats. The message hasn’t changed only the tactics of the enemy. Yes the democrats are the enemy of our democracy and are evil. Don’t forget about what you preached in the pulpit years ago. It’s prophecy being revealed.

You weren't there. We were. The media is flat-out lying about what took place, my old friend. Here's my take.

They Burned the Capitol Down to the Ground

    Except it’s still standing

    Steven W. Mosher

According to the Democrats and the mainstream media (but I repeat myself), Trump supporters went on a wild rampage last Wednesday, leaving the Capitol a pillaged smoking ruin. You will be forgiven for believing that it was the worst assault on American democracy since 1812, when British Marines stormed ashore and burned the Capitol to the ground.

    Except that it wasn’t.

More and more eyewitnesses are coming forward to give a true account of what happened that day. Their accounts, not surprisingly, bear almost no resemblance to the mainstream media narrative. The same media outlets which for three years lied about the Steele Dossier, Russian Collusion, and the Phony Impeachment are, not surprisingly, lying to us again.

The Capitol Police allowed the crowd in past the first row of barricades. There are videos, now being taken down by Big Tech, showing police opening up the outer barricades. One actually shows a policeman shouting “go, go, go!” to the demonstrators, seemingly urging them to run to the Capitol steps on the west side, where a second set of barricades was set up.

As the crowd grew, those in front were inexorably pushed forward. Now the police tried to hold the crowd back, using pepper spray, tear gas, and in some cases their batons. Witnesses say those in charge never declared an unlawful assembly, or gave any other orders to the crowd beforehand.

Nevertheless, videos show that the crowd did not, in general, retaliate. Unlike the Leftists mobs that we have grown all too familiar with over the past year, they did not attack the police with sticks, bricks or other weapons.
The MAGA rallygoers, unlike their Leftist counterparts, are law and order types, and respect the men and women in blue who serve to protect them. Those in the front of the crowd could not easily retreat in any event, because of the press of the crowd behind them.

One does not have to be a history buff to remember that the Capitol has been “stormed” many times before. One of the of the leaders of the 2018 Women’s March, Sophie Ellen-Golman, triumphantly tweeted, “Women’s March just took the Capitol. … walked straight past the police, climbed over the barricades, and sat down on the Capitol steps.”

What did the police do in the face of this flagrant violation of the law? Nothing.

On January 6th, as the Capitol building was surrounded by peaceful protesters, the Capitol Police inexplicably opened the doors and began letting the demonstrators file in. I remain puzzled as to why anyone would order them to do this. Obviously the building should have gone into lockdown, with all entrances and exits locked and guarded.

I have heard that the Capitol Police invited the demonstrators in “in an effort to minimize the damage being caused by the rioters.” This is absurd on the face of it. Would Target and Macy’s open their doors to violent rioters to “minimize the damage” caused by rioting and looting? Obviously not.

There are videos, now taken down by Twitter, showing black-garbed agitators beating on the locked doors of the Capitol only to be stopped by other demonstrators. Millie Weaver has posted evidence on Parler of Antifa/BLM activist John Sullivan “illegally entering the Capitol through a broken window, inciting others saying “Burn it all down!”, is seen breaking a window” and, strangely, filming the fatal shooting of U.S. Air Force veteran Ashli Babbit by security.

Once the doors were opened, a steady column of demonstrators streamed in. Not only did the police make no effort to stop them, some literally waved demonstrators in, and were seen giving them directions while inside the building. There are even pictures of police taking selfies with the demonstrators.

The media has spent countless hours telling us about “the enormous damage suffered by the Capitol.” This is the same media, by the way, who for three years running told us that “Russian collusion” was real. It wasn’t.

I have looked in vain for pictures of graffiti-covered walls, toppled and broken statues, or burned-out offices. There were a couple of windows broken inside the Capitol, reportedly the work of agitators like Sullivan. And there were a few water bottles left on the marble floor of the Rotunda. But the worst thing I have come across is a picture of an office with papers strewn all over the floor and a picture of an idiot, now arrested, with his feet up on Nancy Pelosi’s desk. But to characterize this as “enormous damage” is simply ridiculous.

If you want to see what real damage to the Capitol looks like, consider the below picture. Convicted terrorist Susan Rosenberg planted a bomb outside the US Senate chamber in 1983 in an effort to assassinate Republican senators. Rosenberg was pardoned by Bill Clinton on the advice of Democrat House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY).

Almost everyone who entered the Capitol after the doors were opened wide simply walked through the vast building. Instead of toppling the statues of American heroes, they took pictures of themselves with them. Instead of taking down the American flags and burning them, they waved their own proudly beside them. For many, it was more of a self-guided tour of the Capitol than anything else.

I deeply regret the two deaths, a police officer and a protester, 14-year veteran Ashli Babbitt, that have been most widely reported on. A federal “excessive force” investigation has been opened into Babbitt’s death.

The FBI, supine for years in the face of the corruption of the Biden Crime Family and massive election fraud, has now suddenly gone into hyperdrive arresting people all over the country. Their crime? Entering the Capitol building after the police opened the doors to them.

Activist John Sullivan, on the other hand, who may have actually “breached” the Capitol by breaking a window, was overheard by Weaver saying that he is not being charged.

If it weren’t for double standards, the leaders of the FBI would apparently have no standards at all.

After looking at the evidence, and talking to eyewitnesses, I believe that what happened at the Capitol was more than just a “mostly peaceful protest.” It was an almost entirely peaceful protest by ordinary Americans upset that Congress would certify electoral votes from the half dozen states which experienced massive fraud.

They were exercising their First Amendment right to peacefully protest for a redress of grievances, which grievance in this case involved the violation of their rights, as American citizens, to a free and fair election.

For this, the demonstrators are being viciously slandered by the man who will soon occupy the White House. In one of the most outrageous lies in American political history, Joe Biden actually accused them of being insurrectionists and domestic terrorists.

According to Biden, “They weren’t protesters. Don’t dare call them protesters. They were a riotous mob—insurrectionists, domestic terrorists. It’s that basic.”

Here Biden seems to be confusing the Capitol demonstrators with some of his own supporters.

By now, most Americans know what a “riotous mob” actually looks like. After all, for months on end we have seen left-wing mobs allowed to rampage through Democrat-run cities. We have seen rioters assaulting police and citizens alike, along with looters who ransack stores and then set them on fire. We have also seen the burned out buildings and shuttered stores they have left in their wake.

All the while, we have seen them celebrated by everyone in the Democrat party from Biden on down as “mostly peaceful protesters.” Harris and Biden have even encouraged their staff and supporters to bail these criminals out of jail, in effect freeing them to riot again the following night.

I believe that the wild accusations and over-the-top rhetoric that we are hearing from the Left is a sign of weakness, not of strength.

They know they stole the election and are terrified that the American people will wake up to their fraud.

They are right to be worried, because tens of millions of Americans are already “woke.”

They are also waking up to this: that the trifecta of Democrat operatives, Deep State actors, and tech tyrants who stole it constitute the greatest threat to freedom and liberty that this country has seen in several generations.

The Left may call us whatever names it wants, from deplorables to insurrectionists, but this is our country, and we are not going to let them steal it.

Mike, I totally agree with all that you wrote about how we need to be responding when things don't go as we would like.
A friend of my daughter's went to DC on Wednesday and posted how she witnessed Antifa being very much present, leading the charge through the barriers. Is the blame for the destruction being put upon Trump supporters only? We've read how others witnessed the same. (ANTIFA tatoos are pretty noticeable.)

Thank you Mike for these words. The majority of those who supported this President of this country and his policy are outraged at what happens. O sane person or person of God would support this. I do not believe that President Trump caused these two people to lose. I believe that the republicans party’s lack of support or fight to get to the truth is why people did not get out to vote.there was no use to it. They were using the same machines they used to steal the first election. I am not a citizen and would ever be come one. I came to this country for freedom from socialist government. If I was not married an American citizen I would be on the next plane back. I contemplated many times taking out citizenship but something always held me back. Now I believe it was God. He knew what was going to happen. God bless you Mike. I know you will continue to to be a voice of common sense in this country. I love my husband and that is the only thing keeping me here at this point. I know God is in this somewhere. I can only hold on to that.
