“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order --- respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”

President Trump tweeted this in response to the violence that erupted Wednesday at the Capitol Building, when some “Trump supporters” broke through barricades and stormed the building, breaking windows, getting rough with police in the halls, even entering the House chamber. As this is being written, news has just broken that one of the people who got shot in the melee has died.

Trump is right: we ARE the party of law and order, but I think most of us will agree that he needs to be a lot tougher in his condemnation of this. The same can be said of the video statement he released. Of course, virtually every news outlet who posted his tepid “go home” video had to editorialize, saying that Trump “repeated false claims” of election fraud. Facebook took it down.

So did YouTube.

Trump also tweeted this on Wednesday: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

Well, yes, Mr. President, but in the USA, at least those of us on the right, also demand that the Constitution be meticulously followed. Vice President Pence obviously was doing what he thought was right concerning his role in this. We may disagree with him –- numerous constitutional experts do, and Alan Dershowitz isn’t sure –- and you obviously disagree with him, but please, right now, stay out of that process and stop pressuring him.

Trump told his supporters to go home, but no reaction to this violence is complete without a total, vociferous condemnation. We all condemned the truly awful violence coming from the Democrat side this summer when their party and the media (but I repeat myself) failed to do it. In this case, it’s just as wrong, no matter who is behind it.

We are aghast at this.

I am so disappointed in our leaders. It appears that many states had fraudulent elections, which should have been investigated before the middle of December. It there is a doubt, it needs to be clarified asap. I believe the election was stolen from President Trump and it makes me very angry that investigation was turned aside at many points, WHY? You can't say there's no evidence when we could see it on news reports and hundreds of people testified on affidavits. Where are the GOP leaders' backbones? Truth, justice and the American way seems to have been perverted on a grand scale this year. I dread watching our county become a banana republic, and wonder if we aren't coming closer to seeing the return of Christ. What will our children and grandchildren live through, certainly not the America I grew up in. I grieve for them and pray God will have mercy on us. I yearn for encouragement at this very sad time in our lives. We've been so blessed and apparently spoiled for so long, I never thought I'd see this in my lifetime. What can be done??

I and many others were watching the Election results from Georgia’s Senator Perdue when 42,000 votes disappeared! I don’t remember the exact figures, but the woman on the News said “what just happened!” And the backed it up and 174,000+ And when the screen changed it was 132,000+! The problems are always in Fulton County, both the Presidential and now the Senate. Fulton County is the home base for Stacey Adams!

I agree with you Governor Huckabee. I am deeply saddened by what occurred yesterday and am so sorry that our President did not speak up sooner and with stronger language against a group of bad actors that turned a peaceful demonstration into an insurrection. May God Bless America!

Mike, I do agree with your statement. Let’s face it, if Mr Trump had stayed off Twitter all the time he’d be President again??

I just posted a lengthy comment to a another email about this topic. I will further add that what I am most aghast at is the stealing of an election and the blind eye and deaf ear that the media and the entire political establishment has turned to the mountain of evidence that points to that brazen theft. Furthermore, as I stated in my prior response, I wonder if the perpetrators of the violence yesterday were Antifa plants. If not, and if some Trump supporters did storm the capital, rather than condemn them I ask the question that I asked in the prior comment? When is the time to fight? If not over a stolen election then when?

I have long said that I loath the Democrats and I am disgusted with the Republicans. I am disgusted with the Republicans because they lack spine, resilience, tenacity, and perseverance. They fold like a house of cards whenever the left points an accusing finger at them. The real outrage is over a stolen election - as well as countless other outrages that the left has perpetrated over these last several years.

I am sick, sick about all of this. We've lost our country and the "riot" was a combination of pure frustration and agitation from "the other side". I'm praying for the people who died, shot by the guardian police no doubt although we won't hear about it from the press. I'm praying for our country that we turn around before it's too late if it isn't already. I'm praying for cooler heads to prevail. I'm praying that statesmen (and women) rise up and take the reins. I'm praying.

That was antifa and blm and our Congress didn’t even investigate before they blamed Trump supporters and charged their stance on contesting. What about the millions of us who were working yesterday? They’re liars and they had that planned

My question concerns "news" re Ravi Zacharia bein "exposed" after his passing. If whatever really happened, why did they not bring it out in the open while he was alive and could defend himself? I enjoyed his radio program each Sunday morning.

You failed the American people for not supporting your president after it was because of him that you were narrowly elected. How quickly you capitulate. No one condones violence and there was proof of Antifa and BLM insurgents in the crowd, stirring up the crowd and leading to what happened. You are a disgrace and should resign.

Say what you will about Mike Pence, but my respect for the man after his torpedoing Trump by going with the 1887 Electoral Act has gone to single digits. He’s persona non grata to me now. If he wants to run for POTUS in ‘24, he’ll do so without my support.

Where do we turn as Conservatives? Our FBI, DOJ, State Dept, you name it, they’re all so corrupt we can’t fix them. Not one bad actor is seriously being investigated for all the corrupt things that were done over the last 5 years. Now we have a corrupt President whose son is on the take with our worst enemy. Our last line of defense, our elections, are a complete joke. I can understand how some people felt yesterday.

    Mr. Huckabee,
First off, I love your newsletters and your show on TBN. While I respect your opinions and insights, this one missed the mark for me. When Trump addressed the protesters and instructed them to go home, he was speaking to the 99%+ of them who were there to show their love and support for him and their dismay for the fraudulent elections (November 2020 and the GA runoffs). There was no need for him to issue a " vociferous condemnation" because the fools who were not peaceful, whether they were Trump supporters or BLM/Antifa, were not going to listen to his plea no matter his tone of voice. We're all hurting now and I just cannot stand one more criticism hurled at President Trump. I pray that he and his family can finally enjoy some semblance of peace.
    Thank you for reading.
    Kindly,
    Nancy Peterson

Yes we do condemn this violence Mr. Huckabee...but the frustration with the Left’s outright suppression and censorship of our voices against what we feel is the destruction of our country is getting beyond frightening. The only thing we could rely on was our valid vote to change things and now we will have no confidence our votes will matter anymore either. They have won at cheating lying and stealing this election and will now double down on their plans to control what we can say or think (that is their plan). Jesus tells us to love our enemies but He doesn’t tell us to love evil, which is what I and many of my friends believe is taking over our country. What can we do when our votes don’t matter anymore. I read this the other day and it sums up how I feel. “The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.” (and women I would add. I pray for God to give us wisdom and courage in the continuing struggle as our basic freedoms continue to be destroyed by the Left and China and billionaires involved in the Great Reset of the World Economic Forum.

Mike, First of all the ring leaders of who initially entered the Capitol were verified by Facial reorganization as having been at several demonstration this summer. The Fatigues with Gray backpack (Those breaking the windows) is signature Antifa. And the others are dressed up to assure there were pics of knuckleheads for the media and were a splinter group.
I learned a long time ago that Hate Begets Hate. Lawlessness Begets Lawlessness. I also learned that When in the course of human events... Boston Tea Party... Now is the time for all good men (and women) to come to the aid of our country. ETC. ETC., all encompassed violence in order to establish and preserve our nation!
Even in the Independence for this country I don't believe that things were as bad as they are right now! The Left will stop at nothing to FORCE U.S. to live in their Socialist world view. As a veteran and as a christian I believe it is my duty to prevent these Heretics, from turning U.S. into a Godless Nation. Established laws were not followed and in fact totally ignored and the states, the courts even SCOTUS turned a deaf ear.
As you know SCOTUS was made (Primarily) to settle disputes between the States. It was a miscarriage of justice for them not to hear the case brought by Texas. Especially with 3 new Justices who ALL Pledged that they would be constitutional justices.
The process is supposed to work by the laws of the states. But democratic precincts have allowed many illegal votes while preventing oversight. In this election it was the worst ever! Money flowed into this country from Iran, WHO supporters, and especially China. I know rich people and RICH PEOPLE (like Zuckerberg) DON'T GIVE 400 MILLION OF THEIR MONEY TO ANYONE! That money came from China thru his wife.
I could go on but you should know better than most WHY good honest hard working people are frustrated. I got 7 people and many of their extended families to vote this year. These were people who have NEVER registered to vote! And within 2 days of this election almost every one of them told me they will NEVER vote again. Why? Because it was EXACTLY what they thought - their vote meant nothing. The election was stolen.
Last thing: Do you remember when Harris was caught saying: " we will remember all you Trump supporters.... ".
I believe they and their goons truly will one way or another and they will bankrupt and probably jail Trump and his family!

Regarding the "storm troopers" supposed Trump supporters breaching the Capitol. it is my gut feeling that Soros or someone sent in antifa. It was either far left or far right that sold the peaceful protestors down the drain. Trump supporters are not protestors - they do rallies for right and good. My questions are: why did the police feel it necessary to shoot the woman; who is the woman; who is her family; why was she there? There is a back story we will probably never know. The protestors looked like thugs wearing their black hoodies and dark clothes and climbing the walls willing to antagonize the police and more than too eager to "breach" the Capitol.

The long reaching problem is that it takes away from the real issue of election fraud and makes those on the left and self serving Congressmen that could care less about us as victims. It gives the media/left an excuse to claim Trump is a dictator and they were right all along which is not close to the truth. Just as serious, it gives the Pres the excuse to ban free speech. Just think they stopped the president from communicating to the people. They have given the left the tool to get away with stealing this election. We are in big trouble. A win for China.

I was stunned when I first heard of this yesterday. And looking at the actual perpetrators who made it into chambers, I really can't say much in their favor. They don't "look like" Trump supporters... but there are fringe elements with both parties. I don't know who they are, but maybe we'll discover after full investigation that they weren't really there to support anyone. Rather, they were there to continue what they started in the summer, which was to foment division. These people are trying to tear the country farther and farther apart, and by causing gigantic rifts between the two major political parties, they create an atmosphere of suspicion that seems to be growing by leaps and bounds. They are anarchists. It is incumbent upon our leadership (all members of both houses of Congress included) to work to unite our nation. No more mere lip service to bipartisanship, but actual unity. Service to your constituents, not to your search for power and position, is a good place to start. I don't want my congressional delegation to look at what the party leader is promoting if that is not good for my state. But I don't want them opposing any legislation based solely on the fact that it originated in the opposite party. Seek unity. Is that even possible these days? I hope so, but I'm starting to wonder.

As usual...it was Antifa infiltrating us Trumpers.... They are the violent ones...& the pampered poodles in the Capitol were so quick to condemn. So pitiful! Why can't we just redo the election without mail in ballots that EVERYBODY knew was CORRUPT!
Don't you think we are sick of the Dems mantra...."he who lies & cheats best wins"....
Let's face it.....the Republicans did nothing!
