Recently, we ran a poll that asked, “Now that Joe Biden has been inaugurated, do you accept him as President of the United States?” As reported on Saturday, with over 122,000 votes cast, the results are in:

YES: 4 percent

NO: 94 percent

UNDECIDED: 2 percent

So, 94 percent of the respondents to our poll do not accept Joe Biden as President. We are shocked --- shocked! --- that so many of our readers are domestic terrorists! Why, you’re probably already plotting right now to storm Washington DC and take the Capitol Building by force.

Do we really need to keep thousands more National Guard troops on duty indefinitely, just to keep the small number of QAnon crazies and white supremacists away from the halls of power? Their numbers don’t appear to be large and diminishing as their views are out of step with constitutional conservatives who reject racism and unsourced conspiracy theories. But if that’s really the fear of the left, then clear out the parking garages so the Guard can get a nap from time to time. And somebody bring them some blankets, for gosh sakes, and order them some pizzas with extra cheese! This is our national security we’re talking about.

All 94 percent of you –- and even the 2 percent undecided –- will have to be removed from Facebook and Twitter immediately. That’s not necessarily because of anything you’ve said, but about what you might say if they allowed you the forum everyone else gets to have, something incendiary that might conceivably cause OTHER people to storm the Capitol, but that YOU will have to be help accountable for, because if there’s one thing our federal justice system stands for now, it’s accountability. Just ask Kevin Clinesmith.

(Pause for insane laughter.)

So, 94 percent of respondents said they don’t “accept” Biden as President. What does this actually tell us? At the risk of sounding like former President Bill Clinton, it depends on what the meaning of “accept” is. Among those who answered our poll, that will vary from person to person. Of course, there's deep, unquestioning acceptance –- “I ‘accept’ Jesus as my Savior” –- but there's also very grudging acceptance –- “I ‘accept’ that my business has been ordered closed and there’s nothing I can do to avoid bankruptcy.” And there's a whole spectrum in between. From a random sample of the over 50,000 comments we received –- we’ll be highlighting some of those responses later in the week –- I think even the tiny amount of “acceptance” Biden is getting from the right-leaning half the country is the grudging kind. There's an outcome you deeply suspect is wrong but are powerless to do anything about, so you think the best thing for the country is just to move forward.

Here’s one example of that: “I think I fall within the 4 percent of folks who say Biden is my President, because he is currently the President of the United (?) States. He stole the election, granted, but there he sits, in the Oval Office. It pains me to even type that, but until we can legally get the Democrats out of office, I will have to deal with Biden making pronouncements.”

Maintaining even that level of “acceptance” might become increasingly difficult for Biden as he continues to act as if he had a huge mandate, issuing 40 such “pronouncements” in the form of executive orders and actions in just his first nine days in the White House. This is three times the number signed by Presidents Trump, Obama and George W. Bush at the same point in their terms of office.

For the word “accept,” the working definition that I think makes the most sense here is from Oxford Dictionaries: “believe or come to recognize (an opinion, explanation, etc.) as valid or correct.” Synonyms: believe, trust, give credence to, credit, give credit to, put confidence in, be convinced of, have faith in, count on, rely on, depend on. Informal: buy; go for; fall for; swallow; swallow hook, line and sinker; take as gospel.

The Free Dictionary has these: To regard as proper, usual or right; to regard as true, believe in; to endure resignedly or patiently, as in “to accept one’s fate” (also, to tolerate or accommodate oneself to); to receive officially, as in “to accept the committee’s report.”

It is true that President Biden sits in the Oval Office and functions, to the best of his cognitive ability, as President. It could be said that he has been received officially. Those few on the right who say they “accept” him likely also mean this in the sense that they are resigned to it, enduring it.

But going back to the Oxford Dictionary, do they believe this was the correct outcome? Do they have faith or confidence in the outcome? Do they take it as gospel? Doubtful.

Millions of Americans are going around with a dark feeling that something is amiss, that needs to be put right. It’s not the same as Hillary and her supporters carping for four years about Trump’s election being illegitimate, when Trump clearly won in 2016. The 2020 election was very different, with millions and millions of mail-in ballots, unconstitutional rule changes, razor-thin margins in key states, numerous anomalies that just haven’t been explained and much more that we’ve been over. “Fact”-checkers who try to debunk these claims by saying they “lack context” still have not really debunked them. That’s not proof the election was “stolen,” but suspicions still run very deep, and justifiably so.

In case you didn’t see it over the weekend, we’ll re-post this excellent piece from RedState.com about the difference between what the so-called “debunkers” in the media say about the election and what the real story is. They really are trying to make us all say that 2+2=5.

The fact that social media and most broadcast media are censoring any talk of this makes it that much worse. Adding insult to injury by impeaching President Trump and putting him on trial after he’s been removed from office is another big banana-republic-style slap-down. We know that what is being done to Trump is also being done, in effect, to us, his supporters. We see the entire nation under siege by the left, with no sign of it letting up. Happiest of all: probably China.

When leftists keep piling on, after an election we don't trust, with one more grave injustice after another (again, I’ll cite the legal double standard and the Kevin Clinesmith case), I have to wonder if they realize what this could be building up to. Are they naive, do they just not care, or is that what they want? How long can they lie to us, lie ABOUT us, calling us deplorables, domestic terrorists and white supremacists? We can’t have upwards of 75 million people feeling abused like this at the same time Washington DC, the media, social media, the universities, the public schools, major corporations, the entertainment world, and even the justice system are telling us essentially to shut up or they will cancel us, ruin our lives. It's McCarthyism to the tenth power. Nothing like this has ever happened before in this country.

And none of of us should “accept” it.

I don’t accept the Democrats frauds to include Biden. And I am angry at RINOS and cowardly republicans who are only interested in maintaining their position. The problem is what to do and how to do it.

My concern: apathy! I’ve heard conservatives say they don’t plan on voting again because, with all the voter fraud, it won’t matter. We must find a way to combat fraud and restore the confidence in the electoral process.

Why must we Americans be disregarded each & every election....& HAVE TO accept that ONCE AGAIN....the cheaters win?????

I wish that someone might provide a fiberglass dome to our Guard that they can curl up in to get out of the weather. A pad to cushion them from the concrete might be nice. In short it would be a tremendous improvement to their treatment to treat them like dogs. I can only hope there is a place for them to get warm, eat and tend to sanitary essentials. These people have full time jobs and families. This is not what they signed up for.

First of all...I want you to know how much I enjoy your commentaries! Not do I only enjoy your point of view but your wit just slays me!
I am just sick at heart that election fraud has allowed Joe Biden to take the reins of this country. And that it appears that the damage he is planning on inflicting on our nation is even worse than we expected. I had imagined that he would use any means to continue with the corruption he and his family are involved in but I did not envision the destruction he would immediately inflict upon our economy and our social structure.
Do you see any way for us to extract ourselves out of this mess once voter fraud is proved?

Joe is currently being called the President so as such he “is” the only person who can be the president at the moment. Took an oath and had a parade and everything so there it is. But do “I” except him as MY president? Nope. I didn’t actually accept Obama as well either, even though I voted for him— once thank you so sorry—and afterwards regretted it in less than three months of his first term in office. I will respect the office of the President yes because I’m an American but I don’t have to accept that guy in it as being my president. That being said I will never condone any violence actions against the person who is in office for our country. America is better than that. We have an obligation to the World to show how we can resolve our issues thanks to our Constitution and our brilliant laws and ways again thanks to our awesome founders who must have had a crystal ball and designing our way of governing to be the best thing ever designed by anyone anywhere else in this world. Thank God I live in America. Pray that it stays the same way for us all.

I'm unhappy with the results but as with Obama, I have to respect the office and at least pray for him. He may be the worst president we have had.

Would you please give me your opinion of the book 'White Fragility'?

I have read some reviews, one in particular by a black man, who felt it talked down to blacks. I would like to know if you agree with it or not. Thank you very much.

Hi Mike I watch your show & decided to sign up for your text mail as I read this it made me shake my head as I laughed uncontrollably. Still shaking my head. Having to wall in our countries Capitol with razor wire should be sending a message to all American Citizens that something is terribly wrong. When our leaders are afraid of it's citizens someone needs to INVESTIGATE using some common sense and not a personal agenda. Thanks for your level headed common sense shows

So Preacher, after all has bin said and done, what are we going to do? What are the options for us to do to get him out of the oval office? Its all talk and no action. You know soon, they can begin calling the White House, "China White" because of hunted buy-then (aka: biden). Also why not ask him about the 20 Milllion doses of missing covid injectable medicines? He & his dad probably sold them to Iran for how many more Million$$? and to Ukraine for a lot more? After all, they do have the connections to make the pay-out... any questions?

I do not accept Biden as president. The election was a scam. I am 65 years old and do not remember a time of ever being so scared about the future. I do not want my grandkids growing up under a communist regime and I'm afraid that's where we're headed. We will never have another legitimate election under the democratic rule. We need help. I am praying for our country and leaders but I know people have turned away from God and their Christian upbringing. God is in control, I know that. But God allows things to happen to teach us lessons. Is that what is happening now? Mr Huckabee, I'm really scared and concerned, more for my girls and grandkids than for me. What can we do? Are any of our elected officials brave enough to do something? Can President Trump do anything? Can something be done if election fraud is proven. And is anyone still pushing that? Thank you for everything you have done for this country. I'm backing Sarah 100% for governor. Thank you, Mr. Huckabee.

  • Ken Anderson

    02/01/2021 02:57 PM

Dear Mr. Huckabee, as usual, you make some very good points. Let me comment on some of the things that stood out to me.
First, the poll you took is very telling. Let's say that they are all republicans that you polled. Let's also say that the 2 percent who voted undecided. That's 96% of the people who feel that they are either borderline or solid in their belief that this election was taken or stolen from President Trump. These are people who will not forget what happened in this election and must, therefore, work hard to get only those republicans in office to "bring back" our democracy. I believe that not only the democrats, but also the justice department carried out a coup against us and the people have no other choice other than to fight back and, if necessary, be killed to save this country.
Second, you spoke of the word accept. Here's how I feel about it. I accept that there is an unduly elected individual who currently sits in the oval office. I believe the same, obviously, of the current vice-president. I accept that these two people are unduly holding power and running our country. I do not accept or recognize the oath of office that either of these two people currently take because it was done in an illegal matter.
All of President Trump's supporters MUST NOT give up or they give up their rights and they give up on their country and I'm convinced that we, as a nation, are better than that. You are correct in your assessment that China is celebrating, but this does not have to continue. Our citizens must take it one day at a time no matter how hard it gets. We must do this for all those who served and died for our country. We OWE it to them!!! This is why our citizens MUST fight, no matter what it takes. Thank you for all you do and keep up the great work!

  • Thomas NeSmith

    02/01/2021 02:57 PM

I am one of the 94% who will not except Biden as president. He never expected President Trump as the sitting president, but if we don’t change the people are voting ( proper ID, no Mail in ballots only absentee ballots- for registered voters 65 yrs and older and our men and women in service) and for goodness sake the Dominion voting machines have to be taken out and not used in all states that use them.

    02/01/2021 02:56 PM

Mike, please consider this subject. God created men with the "nature" to be responsible for the child/ren they create/conceive. There have been nearly 50 years of abortions. How many of the men, mostly, who seem to have anger issues and are protesting/rioting in the streets of cities across America. I don't know of any way to determine how many of them have been involved in some way with abortion/s but I'll bet the number is great. There's a lot of free flowing testosterone . God did not plan for that and I think this issue should be discussed but have no idea how to make that happen. I think your show would be a start.

Thanks for your well written “TRUTH “ article.
I think you are leaving one very important element out of the recipe. We who are true followers of Christ have long asked ; how long will God put up with our rebellion as a nation and even his church which for years has kicked the can down the road, i.e., 42 million babies murdered, total sexual depravity that spits in God’s face, and self centeredness that has no ceiling.
If we cannot see the elephant in the room then most likely we have been complacent about God’s laws and allowing a paganistic worldview to bring Gods judgement down on a nation that once indeed was, one nation under God.
The solution? Sadly we as believers have forgotten the mandate that Jesus gave us, go to the outer parts of the world and preach the gospel message, revival can happen and the great commission will still move forward .
However our nation will need to first repent of its sins against our Holy, sovereign God and place Him back at the center of our nation, he will not be mocked and indeed Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the father except through Him.
We must ask the Holy Spirit for boldness to share these truths of the gospel message... no matter what!
Thanks again for the great work you do, for Him and for the people of our nation!

I just feel sad....I am 70 years old, retired teacher, concerned that they may go after my pension, which in Ohio is a very nice pension but I worked hard for 37 years and earned every bit of it.....the last two days, the Bible readings are about people who have been taken over by demons.....I know in my heart God has a plan, but in this time of malaise and staying home and etc.....the news everyday is just not very encouraging! I am an optimistic person , but these days are very hard as I see the America I know and love slipping away! Prayer is really where I go, the Patron St of the Americas is The Blessed Virgin....so the Rosary I think will be my weapon! Thanks for letting me vent. God Bless you....I have always enjoyed you and now your show!

After writing the previous comment, I just received a reply from the state representative’s office saying that they hadn’t heard of any legitimate accusations of election fraud. However, they would be studying the situation and checking into any “small administrative processes that would make the elections run smoother”. Yeah, right!

I don’t accept him as president and don’t like to hear him speak. I turned off the tv for several days and didn’t want to watch the so called coronation on the 20th. 25,000 troops guarding nothing! It’s now a military state.
