House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are calling on Vice President Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and immediately remove President Trump from office, blaming him for inciting the violent protesters who vandalized and broke into the Capitol. Pelosi said, “The gleeful desecration of the U.S. Capitol, which is the temple of our American democracy, and the violence targeting Congress are horrors that will forever stain our nation’s history — instigated by the president of the United States — that’s why this is such a stain.”

She’s right, Washington is as stained as an old pair of farm overalls, but those mud stains didn’t all appear yesterday. Just as a reminder:

Throughout spring and summer of 2020, up until polls showed it was hurting Democrats, Pelosi and Schumer were publicly supportive of violent “protesters” who rioted, burned and looted America’s cities nationwide, including Washington, DC. They not only attacked and vandalized national monuments and federal buildings in the nation’s capital, they staged longterm assaults on local and federal officers, seized private property, threatened citizens, and laid siege to a federal courthouse in Portland, throwing Molotov cocktail-like fire bombs into it. That courthouse is just as much federal property and a temple of American democracy as the Capitol is.

Pelosi’s response to all that was to support the violent protesters, dismiss concerns about old buildings, and smear officers who were trying to protect federal property as Nazi “stormtroopers.” When called on it, she tried to split hairs by claiming she only said they were “acting like stormtroopers.” Well, that’s different!

I am upset with Trump’s rhetoric, too, and I’ve condemned the violent hotheads who set back the conservative cause with their illegal behavior. But I have zero interest in listening to Pelosi, Schumer or any other Democrat who spent much of 2020 egging on rioters and attacking police piously lecture me about the dangers of irresponsible rhetoric from public officials. Their “moral high ground” is a muddy sinkhole.

Thank you Mr Huckabee! The Democrats are obsessed with blaming President Trump. Personally, I think the Dems staged the whole storming of the capital!

I just wondering Mike if months of burning cities and businesses and even occupying some of those cities has not hurt or slowed the liberal cause, which got Biden elected, then ONE incident will only hurt the conservative cause if we cower to the rhetoric and let it!

This is true. Pelosi and Shummer say what sounds good to them regardless of what it is. I wish they had term limits so we could go without them after so long a time. Term limits for Congress needs to be brought about. I don't know how, but I am all for it. It is time something is done about this matter.

This all started years ago. Someone in power started dividing people and it just keeps getting worse. We are ALL Americans. Let's start acting like it, starting with the powerful in Washington!

I am appalled at what is going on in our country right now. To me it is worse than the capitol incident. People are going nuts. Big tech is making us all feel like we are sheep to the slaughter and anything we think or say does not matter. Golf won't play tournaments at a Trump course likely putting hundreds of people out of work. Trying to put anyone in congress who was a Trump supporter out of his job when he was trying to do what he thought was right. Right now I am thinking we are losing control of this country. Trump no matter what you think of him did more for the regular people of this country than any President in my lifetime. It sickens me and I feel stronger about the goodness of Trump than ever. I am totally over democrats and their leadership is disgusting and a disgrace. They all just fall in line to do anything to keep their precious power driven, money grabbing, country bankrupting selves rich and happy.

This has been one he'll of a ride in 2020 and the start of 2021. The left has done everything they can think of, no matter how illegal or horrible it is to push our beloved President Trump out. Their corruption started with the Obama administration...to destroy America from within and Trump was in the way fighting for the American people. We are headed for some sad and hard times. People with their rose colored glasses are so spoiled, they don't realize we are about to repeat some of our horrible history from the past. Trump wanted to open our country up and keep it running, but the opposite side wants to shut us down and make us grovel and spoon feed us the lies. I pray that our God is Merciful and brings change but good change.

I've heard liberal speech that the protests and riots this year were different they were about civil rights. Fifty per cent of voters in this country, Christians and people of all colors also have civil rights and many are inclined with having those rights, voting rights and others, walked on. Tired of watching laws apply to only one set of people.

You are correct about Nancy Pelosi and others who have been "Public Servants" for far too long. I'm praying and supporting the Convention of States in the hopes that the States can come together and add a constitutional amendment concerning Term Limits. This woman has done nothing this term but divide the country further, scream lies from the speaker's podium, and try to impeach Trump. Apparently, she's not done, but we should not stand for her lies and temper tantrums. She's the problem with Washington D.C.

Nancy Pelosi is ‘grasping at straws’ she isn’t really concerned about our country, she has been very spiteful & rude too Pres. Trump & will attempt too do anything to mar his name. She has made mistakes in her official office & no one is paying attention. Why can’t we just let his time lapse, he has 9 more days & has already been ruined & cant be re elected, so why spend that money. We have a pandemic going on, we need help, not more hate & expense.

There were a few bad apples that stormed the capital the vast majority of Trump supporters don’t act that way. To say it’s Trumps fault is terrible wrong. Have a back bone and stand for the 74 million republicans
