Friday morning, just as we were about to go “to press,” the Supreme Court finally released its ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, and just as the leaked draft suggested, it does overturn Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood, sending the issue of abortion's legality back to the states.

Surprisingly, it was not as close as some believed, with even Justice Roberts concurring. However, Roberts wrote a separate opinion agreeing that Roe’s viability line “never made any sense,” but saying he would have taken a “more measured course.” Instead of overturning Roe, he would have continued recognizing a right to abortion that extends “far enough to ensure a reasonable opportunity to choose, but need not extend any further.” In short, he would have continued to micromanage an issue that the Court had no right to be involved in at all.

It’s a great day for the pro-life movement, which has worked tirelessly for nearly 50 years to not only save the lives of babies and help pregnant women choose life, but to win hearts and minds, and convince people what an obviously bad and unfounded ruling Roe has always been. While I don’t kid myself that radical pro-abortionists will bother to read what Justice Alito wrote, as he carefully explained why the original decision was wrongly decided, I hope that anyone on the fence will at least read it with an open mind.

And if they can’t bring themselves to agree with pro-life Christians, then agree with the radical pro-abortion activists who, upon reading the leaked document, screamed that a bunch of unelected judges shouldn’t have the power to make decisions for the entire public about such a personal issue as abortion. This Court completely agreed, which is why they overturned a ruling that did precisely that and sent the issue back to the elected representatives of the people.

I great day for the the sanctity of life and for the blessing bestowed upon by the Constitution. The .federal Government is micromanaging far too many things that rightfully belong to state and local authority. The is NOT a democracy. It is a Democratic Republic whereby decisions governing our lives are left more closely to the people affected by them. It has been known since creation that power corrupts. That is human nature.

That being said, the proponents of the pro life movement must step up to deliver loving, not condemning, help to those women who become pregnant without support. We must also educate women that they are, indeed, in control of their own bodies. There are those who sincerely believe that sexual relations belong after marriage and others who are not that rigid but it is a fact that men are more aggressive and women the deciders. You may not think it fair, but the fact is that women pay the price, not men. Women CAN survive without a man at their side at all times. Good men will be willing to stifle their desires to please the women they ostensibly love. No one ever said it is easy to overcome desires but it is our obligation to God, ourselves and society to do so. For those who engage in sexual relations but do not want pregnancy their are multitudes of ways of preventing conception. If women want control of their bodies they must think ahead. It’s called taking responsibility. It’s not just about ME.

The libs have even begun attacking RBG because she didn’t retire soon enough, leaving Trump with another appointment to SCOTUS.

First off, God Bless you and your family! I am in complete bewilderment that scientists are looking for a single smudge of a cell on mars that they can say they found life, yet, a complete set of cells, growing exponentially in a womb is called a fetus, a blob of cells, anything but life! The American Pediatric ass. has concurred overwhelmingly that life begins at conception but as it doesn’t fit the radical left’s agenda, the question of when does life begin has been carefully avoided. I almost wish that Abortion could be retroactive in so many cases especially in D.C.

I receive some 800 emails a day. Of these, I normally read a dozen. I always read yours, and 99% of the time i am in full agreement. If you want to run for president I will vote for you. The only area where we disagree however, is the abortion issue. You cheer the court ruling to destroy the Roe v Wade decision. I think it is quite possibly the worst thing that could have happened. Not because it was the right or wrong decision, but because it gives the Democrats a huge issue to dominate the next election. Who cares if the policies of puppet Biden and the Democrats in Congress are destroying our country. Pelosi comes to the podium in tears and begs all women to go to the polls, so this terrible decision can be reversed by packing the court. Then she goes behind the screen with big smiles and high fives all of her political cohorts. The Democrats want the next election to be all about abortion and gun control, and the Supreme Court has just given them a huge present. A victory for pro-life activists. I giant loss for the country. If I were asked to participate in a debate on the subject of abortion I could take either side, because some really great arguments can be made for either side. Unfortunately neither side is willing to admit that.

So, maybe there should be a Jun 24 committee to determine whether some certain someone(e)s fomented violence through early draft release? This violence is far more serious - far - than what came from Jan 6 or from any misguided attacks against abortion clinics. Maybe considering this is about abortion is it a case that kind of violence setting off even more when thwarted?
BTW - and this is a big one - you should tell The Donald to watch the recording of the sermon given this morning by our pastor, Fr. Len, at St Pius X parish in Coeur d'Alene, ID; Fabulous.

The media has never told the true about abortion. How many millîns of dollars are spent doing irreversible harm not just to the unborn but the women as well. My first child was born in 1972, I couldn't never understand Roe, it seemed to me to be pure evil, Nothing mattered more to me than my babies. Sexual revolution be damned. I don't believe the rioters now care about freedom, they care about disruption. It is even more appauling that our DOJ is taking sides.
