Why the Democrat Party is so bent on destroying Trump

On Friday, we brought you an interview in NEW YORK magazine with Democrat pollster David Shur that pinpointed the danger Donald Trump poses to the Democrat Party.

In a nutshell, Trump was able to persuade a significant minority of blacks, Hispanics and Asian-Americans, disenchanted with the far-left ideology taking over the Democrat Party, that they would feel very much at home with the Republicans. The racial groups traditionally taken for granted by the left actually swing more to the right on major issues, and in 2020, ideology in many cases "trumped" race. What a wonderful thing.

Today, we bring you "Exhibit A," in the form of an interview with former Georgia State Representative Vernon Jones, a lifelong Democrat who recently became a Republican and Trump supporter and who has formed an organization called Wake Up America. While at CPAC recently, he sat down for an interview on the podcast "American Thought Leaders," presented by THE EPOCH TIMES, and told of his experience as a conservative black man in politics and why he became a Republican. His observations are brilliantly and simply stated and touch on numerous aspects of politics and culture today.

The interview runs under the title, "My Party Left Me." Subhead: "'They don't control me' --- Vernon Jones on confronting cancel culture and leaving the Democratic Party." As the title alone tells you, Jones personifies the nightmare faced by leftists as they realize President Trump has convinced many non-whites to vote according to their ideology and not their race. This is an absolute must-watch (and/or must-read, as a transcript of the interview is also included). It's Jones and people like him who give us hope for the future.

Well Wouldn't You Know

Say, remember that demand from the Twitter mob to boycott Hyatt Hotels because they hosted a CPAC conference where the stage allegedly resembled an obscure Nazi symbol? Well, we now know who designed that stage. It’s a design firm that’s done work for MSNBC, Google and other liberal corporations and that gives 98% of its political donations to Democrats (maybe the nutters are right: CPAC should've hired someone else to design it.) Also, the design firm says they had no idea the stage allegedly resembled a Nazi symbol.

I don’t want to sound like a Pollyanna, but to quote Pollyanna herself, when you go looking for the bad in people, expecting to find it, surely you will.

March 4

The dreaded date of March 4th came and went in Washington, DC, and as predicted here, no army of Trump-supporting insurrectionists showed up in Viking helmets to try to overthrow the government. Even the Washington Post was forced to admit that the “threat” of militant Trump supporters attacking the capital proved to be “a mirage.”

So can the 5200 remaining troops go home now? They were scheduled to leave on March 12th, but DC police have now asked the Pentagon to make them stay until May! This Paranoia Theater has already cost the taxpayers $500 million, not to mention all the pain, discomfort and bellyaches it’s needlessly caused our troops. And the Democrats claim it’s Trump supporters who believe in wild, fake conspiracy theories?

The much-maligned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene may have best summed up her Democratic colleagues when she tweeted, “I don’t know a single Trump supporter who took this hoax seriously. Because it’s stupid. Only the Qanon conspiracy media and the insane Democrats that are desperate for any distraction away from their disgusting policies and an excuse for their military occupation of the Capitol.”

Of course, Nancy Pelosi would probably claim that all the fencing and security officers deterred the invaders from showing up. So why are they trying so hard to remove those things from our Southern border?

Cuomo Update

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s troubles keep getting deeper by the day. The latest revelation via the Wall Street Journal is that his top advisers successfully pushed state health officials last July not to count COVID-19 patients who got sick in nursing homes then were transferred to hospitals as nursing home COVID deaths. That allowed them to undercount the “nursing home deaths” number as 6,432 rather than nearly 10,000.

It’s shocking, outrageous and some are saying criminal.

It’s also no surprise for those of us who pay attention to conservative news media, which the left claims has to be censored because it’s filled with “disinformation,” and which has been ahead of this story for months.

Biden Tussles With Reality

The Biden Administration is having another tussle with its #1 opponent: reality. One of the many, many hoaxes that people who get their news from the usual biased sources believe is that former President Trump wasn’t “transparent” with the media. In fact, he was often too transparent for his own good. The media relentlessly attacked him, turning virtually every question into a hostile accusation and spinning every word he said to the most negative interpretation possible. And yet, Trump let them know exactly what he thought about them. But he also answered their questions. They might have hated, rejected and mocked his answers, but he would stand for over an hour, in all sorts of settings, answering their questions.

Biden, on the other hand, surfed into office on a wave of popular fallacies, among them that he was going to restore “trust and transparency” to the White House briefing room. And how’s that working out? He’s now set a new presidential record for never entering the White House briefing room, not even for a Brief Encounter.

As Kipp Jones at Western Journal notes, CNN’s Kevin Liptak (that’s right, it’s so bad even CNN admitted it) found that Biden is the first President in at least 100 years to go longer than 33 days after inauguration without holding a press conference. As of this writing, it’s 44 days. The closest he’s come was when he ended a statement on video by saying, “I’m happy to take questions, if that’s what I’m supposed to do,” only to have the White House immediately cut off the feed. Also, for those keeping track, we’re well into March and Biden has yet to give a State of the Union Address.

Biden promised that as President, he would be open and transparent and tell us the truth, even if it’s “hard to hear.” A lot of Americans are starting to suspect that there’s something about Biden that the White House thinks would be too hard for us to hear.

Last Man Standing

This is an interesting story about Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, the only House Democrat who voted against HR 1, the “For The People Act” (aka the “Cement a Democrat Majority Forever By Legalizing Vote Fraud” Act.)

You might be stunned by his reason, since it’s a longstanding idea that I thought Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden had completely eradicated from the Democratic Party: he actually listens to what his constituents tell him and votes in their interests, not those of party leadership, the biggest donors or the loudest pressure groups. What a concept!
