BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

Hopeful Virus News

By Mike Huckabee

Dr. Marty Makary, a professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health, predicts that at the current rate of infections/recoveries plus vaccinations, the US could reach herd immunity to COVID-19 by April, so we can get back to normal within a few months.

I predict that this means President Biden will call for lifting the mask mandates and reopening schools as early as 2025.

FEMA Helps And Texans Make Do

By Mike Huckabee

FEMA is getting emergency backup power to Texas by sending the state diesel generators and, for some reason, not windmills and solar panels. Guess they just hate the Earth.

Of course, being Texans, many of them are powering their homes with their Ford F-150 pickup trucks with built-in mobile generators. Try that with a Nissan Leaf.

Democrats Wasting Time

By Mike Huckabee

Proving once again that even after more than two years in control of the House, Democrats still have no idea how to lead, a group of them are wasting time on a bill of attainder targeted at preventing President Trump from having any legacy at all, including banning him from being buried in Arlington National Cemetery. This is allegedly because he’s guilty of inciting an insurrection which the evidence shows he didn’t incite, for which he has not been found guilty in any court, and for which he was “impeached” and found not guilty.

Hilariously, they’re calling this the “No Glory for Hate Act,” even though, as Matt Pollard notes at the link, it’s born entirely out of their own four-year mindless hatred of Donald Trump. There are some other reactions there you’ll also enjoy reading.

Since there’s no way this will ever pass the Senate, or if it did, hold up to a court challenge, it’s really just yet another way to waste the people's time on the Dems’ never-ending anti-Trump hissy fit. But when you look at some of the legislation they actually are working on passing, I say, keep it up! The best thing that could happen for America and its people would be for the Democrats to piddle away the next two years on their Ahab-like pursuit of Trump instead of actually inflicting their toxic agenda on the rest of us.

Gun Propaganda

By Mike Huckabee

If you’ve been stuck at home due to the pandemic or the winter storm, watching a lot of cop, doctor and legal shows on the TV networks, you might have noticed a bizarre trend in many of them: plots that incorporate false narratives taken straight out of gun control pamphlets. Gun researcher John Lott has been watching this propaganda disguised as entertainment so you won’t have to.

For instance, shootings would be so much easier to solve if only we had a national gun owner registry (because most shootings are done by law-abiding gun owners who follow the rules, not criminals and gangbangers using black market weapons, right?) Or the heroes have to deal with America’s #1 terrorist threat: mass shootings by white supremacists with AR-15 automatic machine guns (no part of that is true: 72% of mass shooters have no political affiliations; left- and rightwing extremists commit about the same percentage of mass shootings, both well below the 10% committed by Islamic extremists; the AR-15 is a semi-automatic hunting rifle; and only two murders, neither mass shootings, have been committed with machine guns since the 1930s.)

And then there are the heartrending hospital shows about kids killing each other with guns they found lying around their parents’ homes. See how unsafe it is to have a gun in the house?! Tragic, yes, but in 2019, there were only 39 gun deaths in the US among victims under age 11, and almost all were committed by adult males with criminal records and drug or alcohol addictions.

If you’re going to watch any new TV show (and as long as there are reruns of “The Andy Griffith Show,” I wouldn’t recommend it), you should read the entire article lest you be so bamboozled into believing wild claims, such as that America has so many guns that our murder rate is higher than Mexico’s, that you actually back the Democrats’ upcoming assault on the Second Amendment. (For the record, about half of Americans are legal gun owners compared to 1% of Mexicans, and Mexico’s murder rate is six times that of America’s.)

If there are any good writers left, this story could inspire a terrific novel about a repressive government that tries to control people by forcing them to stay home and watch big screen TVs that pump pro-government propaganda directly into their living rooms. You could name it something like, oh…”2021.”

A Judge Who Applies The Law

By Mike Huckabee

If you’re unfortunate enough to see any of the hateful social media comments about Rush Limbaugh’s death, just take them as a reminder that social media gives a platform to literally anyone, just like a soapbox in the park is open both to great orators and ranting drug addicts. The spewers of hatred and bile actually think they’re morally superior, which somehow gives them license to be nasty, rude, inhumane jerks. Read these stories and consider if any of the Rush haters ever has or ever will do as much for others as Rush did. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Why Nobody Trusts The News Media Anymore, Part 11,392

By Mike Huckabee

CNN’s Chris Cuomo tried blasting Sen. Ted Cruz for his actions during a public emergency. It did not go well for the fawning brother of Gov. Andrew “Hide the number of nursing home COVID casualties” Cuomo:

And in a related story, ABC’s “World News Tonight” devoted four times more airtime to Sen. Ted Cruz flying to Cancun during the ice storm than to news of a federal investigation and impeachment calls against New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for alleged corruption to cover up thousands of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes.

“Think Before Pressing Enter” Dept

By Mike Huckabee

A writer for the liberal site the Daily Beast was razzed for tweeting criticism of Tucker Carlson for putting “googly eyes” on a photo of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Uh, dude?...Those are AOC’s actual eyes. Some of the responses will make you laugh until your eyes pop.

Lucky for him, the real AOC was too busy to care, since she was dealing with the response to her own dumb tweet:

“The infrastructure failures in Texas are quite literally what happens when you *don’t* pursue a Green New Deal.”

As was loudly pointed out to her, the power outages in Texas were a direct result of transitioning from oil and gas to getting 25% of Texas energy from wind, and the wind turbines froze. This is so obvious and predictable that even if you couldn’t guess it was coming, you could look to Europe or California for previous tragic examples of what happens when government mandates replacing necessary, reliable forms of energy with unreliable, yet-developed “green sources,” as if the facts of physics can be changed by man’s laws.

If anything, the actual “climate crisis” in Texas gives us a horrible example of why nobody should ever mistake AOC for a scientist. And a reminder that the only reliable source of never-ending wind is Washington, DC.

Here in California the self-appointed environmental police's cry is for more electric cars to save us from the exhaust fume pollution caused by those old-fashioned nasty gas-powered vehicles and indeed, they are getting them. The herd of electric cars is exploding but for me, they are a bit spooky in parking lots when they silently sneak up on you as you exit your car and head for the mall. Some of the drivers seem to enjoy my surprise when they sneak up behind me.

    One looming problem.

Pretty much every summer we have rolling black-outs and brown-outs and when the Santa-Anna winds blow strong in the fall, our power companies actually shut the electricity off due to the incidence of the power lines swinging together and thereby starting grass and forest fires. Maybe it's just me, but I'll bet It's tough to power one's electric vehicle when there's no electricity coming down the pipes. Doubling down on that, your P.C.'s don't run on gasoline either so Zooming from your bedroom doesn't work either. But those in Sacramento don't seem to want to be troubled with our problems. Our girl Nancy will be in her government (grossly polluting) jet winging it's way to greener pastures.

I thank God for you and your newsletter. I so admire Sarah, and hope she runs for gov. She would make a great one. I’ve been a professional musician, for over 40 years, and would be honored to serve you and/or your daughter if needed in your campaigns for conservatism.

GUNS: During the Clinton administration - I rode the elevator with a lady who had a GUN in her purse .............. WHO CARES ? ............ she lived in an "unsafe" neighborhood ..........because she could not "afford" to live in a "safe" neighborhood. Confiscating "guns" purpose is to leave "women" completely helpless .... to defend themselves and their families ..........
"Defund Police" means don't bother calling 911 - another attack on "women" and their "children"

Biden came to my town yesterday and went through Pfizer where the vaccines were made. I forced myself to view his visit on the 11:00 news and again saw the hateful interview and credit taking by him and his administration. He was vaccinated on December 21, 2020 as I understand but claims the previous administration failed us. He was the first to say we shouldn't lock down our country and at least one of the first to say we couldn't do a vaccine within a year. Of all Trump's achievements and promises kept, his medical ones benefit us the most in my humble opinion. Without life, nothing else matters. I pray for all the leaders of our country but especially for Trump's family. Also for Cruz and family who certainly didn't bring a snow storm to Texas and family first has been my motto too. Blessings and hugs to all who need them.

    Being a gun owner myself..
Legal U.S. gun owners have 300 million gun and probably a trillion rounds of ammo.
Seriously, if we were the problem you'd know it!!

Texas' 'weather' crisis should scare the living daylights out of everyone in America. Why? Just consider what would happen if that event, non-weather generated, was prevalent all over this country! Where then does the 'relief' come from? Don't think that is a possibility? I am not talking about the somewhat remote possibility of some Nuclear capable country launching what they hope would be an EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) event over America, although it remains something our vaunted 'saviors of the planet' might have planned for. NO, "Shotgun" demented, corrupt, sign anything put in front of him, President Joe Biden has 'given' China access to our power grid.

From American News Online: "On January 21st, 2021, President Biden signed an executive order giving access of the United States power grid to communist China.

"On January 27th, 2020, A Fox News reporter asked White House Press Secretary, Jen Paski, why the President did that and wasn’t that a national security risk. Paski replied, “I will have to circle back to you on that”.

"Today is February 11th and there is still no answer from the White House but NC Congressman Madison Cawthorn tells Skyline the President is being irresponsible and has put America in danger. Congressman Cawthorn said, “This is clearly a national security risk. Joe Biden has once again placed his allegiance to foreign interests over his allegiance to the American people. From migrant caravans calling on Joe Biden to fulfill his promises to them, to his illicit connections with Communist China, Biden seems to be willing to work for anyone but the American people.”

"Asked, what exactly will communist China have to benefit from having access to America’s power grid? Congressman Cawthorn said, “Not only will China be able to infringe on our electrical grid, but with the destruction of the Keystone pipeline, China also threatens to cut America’s oil lifeline off as well. We must stand up to these authoritarian regimes, it seems that Biden lacks the backbone to do so.”

To be hopeful and think positive that America still has better days ahead than in the past is one thing, to believe America is NOT walking the razor's edge, considering the enemies she has that are no longer constrained by two oceans, with an obviously INCOMPETENT government leadership would be to suspend common sense and REALITY!

You made an excellent point that the only reliable source of wind is Washington DC (Although the UN in New York, and the European Union Parliament in Strasburgh France try hard).

This raises a moral dilemna, however. Should we surround DC with windmills to take advantage of this renewable source of energy? Or should we try to damp the hot air to improve our "green-house gasses" position? And what do we do about those super-spreaders of solid bovine waste CNN, MS/NBC With PMS, et al?

    Governor:

Some questions millions of us would like you to address:

    1) Why are we hearing nothing about Epstein and his mistress? You and our leaders need to talk publicly about this every day so it's not forgotten.

    2) Why hasn't Rudi just released himself what's on the Hunter laptop? We all know already the DOJ and FBI will do nothing.

    3) Why won't you meet with Joe Manchin?

    4) Why won't the family of the DC officer allegedly hit with a fire existingisher and killed release the autopsy? What are they afraid of?

    Deplorable's want answers.

Your endings to the articles were hilarious! ! Thanks for the chuckles on a Saturday morning. Almost as good as the old Sunday comics.

Good point on those prime time shows. It is as if our homes have become those re-education camps. "Never waste an opportunity." That's what the democrats always say. Wish they would just keep it at, "Let's work efficiently, respectfully and honestly." No fast ones. They are probably wheeling something now to negatively "surprise" us as soon as 2021 ends. For now, everything is a distraction in my book.

We have got to where we do not watch much of the news we have been turned off of Fox's news so what we watch is Newsmax are most of the time we watch western reruns. I hate what is happening because I have grandchildren that will have to pay the cost. As always I am looking for the rapture.

While I think windmills are not cost effective in their lifecycle, we should note that the ones in Texas were not 'winterized.' Another issue with winterizing is the water and gas pipes that failed due to the unplanned-for extreme cold.
It could be the power generation planners thought discussing their design with a plumber would be too expensive.
