Two-Tiered Justice

I find it hard to believe that America has such a shortage of criminals that the FBI has to go out and manufacture them. But that seems to be the case, considering that the plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is starting to smell like an entrapment scheme that might not have existed if FBI undercover agents hadn’t lured people into it. And now, another example:

A now-former DEA agent lost his job and is facing up to 15 years in prison for his alleged part in the January 6th Capitol violence. But he told Tucker Carlson on Fox News that he only came to Washington because an FBI informant invited him there. He says he brought his sidearm and stood outside with the informant because he thought he had been invited to help keep the peace and protect the public.

He’s now accused of breaking 40 US Code 5104. That’s what? Brace yourself: it makes it a felony to “step on or climb on any statue, seat, wall, fountain or other architectural feature or any tree, shrub, plant, or turf” on the Capitol grounds.

So this man who served his country for decades has lost his job and is facing up to 15 years in prison, not for taking part in a riot inside the Capitol but for standing outside on the grass. Meanwhile, leftist anarchists who actually did climb on public monuments, topple them, smash them and set them on fire are being released with no charges filed.

It should outrage every American to see such corruption of the legal system usher in the kind of two-tiered “justice” we used to see only in banana republics. It’s especially infuriating to see the media covering it up to protect the Biden Administration after railing for four years that Trump was “shredding the Constitution” without giving any concrete examples of how he was allegedly doing that.

    After the 9/11 attack, we the people allowed Congress to “protect us” by passing legislation that was supposed to target only our enemies but has now been turned against. Shortly thereafter, a Muslim family in Florida was torn apart when the father was dragged from his home in front of his wife and children and held without bail, without charges and without the ability to confer with an attorney. His family did get the newspapers locally to bring his story public, because at that time the media was still doing investigative journalism. He wasn’t sent to Guantanamo but back to his native country, without a trial ever having been held. This was done because, in virtue of the then new laws to keep all of us “safe”, he was labeled a terrorist and as a result was deemed to have no Constitutional rights at all, not even human rights as was seen by the way he was held.

    There was little hue and cry when those laws, which were supposed to have been temporary, were passed in a bi-partisan Congress, except by Libertarians and some moderates on both side of the political spectrum. They were only supposed to apply to alien terrorists, never to American citizens. But now our government has changed so much that those laws are being applied to so-called domestic terrorists. Arrests without charges, no arraignments for months, no ability to speak with counsel, literal torture and abuse behind the walls and no real timeline for a trial, let alone a speedy one.

    We did this to ourselves!

    As an American, I am outraged with the "two tier" justice system. And frightening all of us Americans is that the democratic/socialist party is pushing and elbowing it's way in our justice system and government so that is is pushing the conservative Republicans out . Something has got to happen before 2022 and 2024 because it this regime is not stopped in it's tracks...we will become totally under the control of the democratic /socialst /commie party. I fear for our nation and for "we, the people". We need God fighting for us more than ever!
