Iowa special election

Tuesday, there was a special election for a State House seat in Iowa’s 29th District that was left open when the Democrat incumbent resigned. That normally wouldn’t be national news, except that seat has been held by Democrats for 46 years, and it was just won by Republican Jon Dunwell with 60% of the vote. Ponder that and imagine how much Maalox and vodka national Democratic strategists and politicians must be chugging right now.

By the way, while I hope and pray this is a harbinger for the 2022 elections, don’t get complacent or take anything for granted. A lot of people actually like the Democrats’ hollow promises of “everything for free,” and fall for their garbage about how you have to vote for their incompetence because their opponents are racists. And we have to overcome the “nonexistent” margin of fraud. So volunteer, donate, speak out and most of all, poll watch. The adults need to take back America and save it before it’s gone.
Brandon Straka update

I’m (semi) pleased to report that the Biden “Justice” Department has dropped a felony charge of
"impeding police during civil disorder" against “#Walkaway” movement founder Brandon Straka. Straka spoke at the January 6th “Stop The Steal” rally in DC and was slapped with multiple charges, including the felony, even though he never entered the Capitol.

The reason I’m not entirely pleased is that Straka had to plead guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct to get the other charge dropped and could still face up to six months in prison. Prosecutors allege that he encouraged others to attack a police officer and steal his riot shield, which I find extremely hard to believe. This smells of the same ideological bias and retribution that US District Court Judge Trevor McFadden cited recently in the case of a Capitol Hill “rioter” who was having the book thrown at her. McFadden compared that to the kid glove treatment prosecutors gave to the genuinely violent George Floyd rioters.
I didn’t witness what happened in DC that day, but I know Brandon, and I also have no reason to trust the fairness and objectivity of the Biden DOJ. Besides, if this is an attempt to smear, silence and sideline Brandon Straka, it wouldn’t be the first time. Here he is on my TBN show from eight months ago, describing how Facebook suddenly banned his site and removed thousands of testimonials from people who walked away from the Democratic Party.

Woke Superman

You older folks might remember when Superman fought for “Truth, justice and the American way!” Boy, are you behind the times. Lately, DC Comics has been following the same leftist, America-bashing, identity politics path that cratered Marvel’s comics sales, first by making bomb Superman movies where he’s bitter about his unfair treatment by America’s government. And now, they’re introducing a comics series with a bisexual Superman (the son of Clark Kent and Lois Land) with a male “hacktivist” boyfriend. He also saves “refugees” from deportation by evil ICE agents and fights the greatest threat to humanity (no, not Lex Luthor: climate change.)

Former TV Superman Dean Cain had a good observation about this: DC may think they’re being “woke” and cutting edge, but they’re really just jumping on the same tired, boring PC bandwagon. If they really wanted to do something revolutionary, instead of punching the same obvious straw men, their gay Superman would leap over some tall buildings in Iran and save the gay people that Islamic radicals are throwing off of them.
My advice to DC would be that if they’re going to copy Marvel, they should first try learning how to make decent movies to keep some profits coming in before they tank their comic book sales with woke pandering.

As a public service to all the Americans who are telling pollsters they approve of the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion spending bill but admit they don’t know the specifics of what’s in it, here are 42 things that are specifically in it:

To cite just a few: Amnesty for about 8 million illegal immigrants…free college for illegal immigrants…removing impediments to immigrants, such as lack of vaccination during a pandemic, such as Biden is forcing you to get…$10 billion for “environmental justice higher education” to indoctrinate college students with Green New Deal propaganda…new taxes on natural gas to make your utility bills higher…a $4 billion slush fund for leftwing groups that want to tear down or alter infrastructure that they deem “racist”…$200 million in pork for Nancy Pelosi’s district…money to hire an army of 87,000 IRS agents to monitor every bank account with at least $600 in it…and approximately three dozen more.
