Today’s MUST-READ (and share): Fox News reports that Yeonmi Park came to America at age 13 as a defector from North Korea and was able to attend Ivy League Columbia University. Her verdict: the anti-American brainwashing there is worse than in North Korea.

She knew something was wrong on day one when she said at orientation that she liked the novels of Jane Austen and the instructor scolded her that writers of classic literature were racists and bigots and “had a colonial mindset.” She said the anti-American propaganda was like what she grew up with in North Korea. She was also attacked for not getting people’s “preferred pronouns” right when she was trying to speak in her third language.

Park, who had seen people die of starvation in front of her eyes, knows what real oppression is. But she said the Columbia students kept saying how oppressed they were and how much injustice they’d seen when they had no clue how great they had it. She said, "It was chaos. It felt like the regression in civilization…Even North Korea is not this nuts. North Korea was pretty crazy, but not this crazy."

After a lot of arguments, she finally “learned how to just shut up,” maintain a high GPA and graduate. It’s tragic that she had to flee a totalitarian communist state seeking freedom, only to discover that our college campuses have become totalitarian communist states.

This story comes on the heels of another about a mom who survived Mao’s cultural revolution blasting her kids’ school for its “Critical Race Theory” brainwashing that’s eerily similar to China.

When refugees from communist states with no freedom can’t even tell the difference between our schools and the places they fled, it’s time for a “purge.” Not a communist-style purge, but a purge of the school officials who have turned America’s education system into indoctrination camps to brainwash kids into hating their own country.

Thank you so much for bringing these stories to light while most won't. These two examples remind me of a trip I made to Taiwan a number of years ago where I and a team of other HR folks were touting a new performance management process to our Taiwanese counterparts. They suggested its feedback process was similar to the cultural revolution in China and would not participate. It was eye opening then and even more so now!

    Hi Mike.
I heard the story of the North Korean Columbia student yesterday on KFI radio in LA.
During my commute home, I had tears coming down my face. I just read your synopsis
of her story, and the same thing happened: a grown man crying about losing his country...

None of this is new….where have our esteemed Republican leadership been for the last 15/years or more. Stop saying what you’re going to do IF and just do what needs to be done to stop it. The public is powerless unless leadership leads. Stop complaining and use your positions of power. Don’t say you don’t have the majority because you have had the majority and done “nothing”. Nobody in power wants change …… and that’s a shame because the population suffers.

A purge is needed, alright....all of the commie leaning profs. instructors, teachers should be fired and suspended from instructing persons under 35. Forcibly removing should be on the table if necessary....this is not a time for velvet gloves but for clenched fists...it may already be too late as the seeds of racist, Marxist ideology are already planted.

As the old saying goes "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck".

I read in the paper this morning that even Putin condemns the US arrests of Capitol rioters! He suggested that the hundreds of people arrested for rioting are being subjected to "persecution for political opinions." It says on an NBC News broadcast on Monday he pointed to the Jan 6 insurrection and said "Do you know that 450 individuals were arrested after entering the Congress?...They came there with political demands."

You should know it's gotten bad when even the Communists start condemning your actions!

I am appalled at the rhetoric coming out of our universities and colleges. It seems that our schools are hiring more liberals to promote politics rather than educate our youth. They are being indoctrinated to hate white Americans, push for socialism and so called equity lifestyles. We need to pass legislation that will defund these schools who push this agenda on our youth. Take away their money, take away their incentive!

Last evening I saw Yeonmi Park and you as guests on Hannity.
Spiritual oppression has been infiltrating America and now is out in the open. She came here for freedom and if freedom doesn’t live here, there is no other nation in the world to live free. She is still better off here, at least for now.
Even Piers Morgan stated yesterday on an interview that the content of UK’s journalists are monitored for approval to air and it has come to America.
Our measure should be God’s Word. Many may find that to restrictive but the kind of life that He wants all of us to live.
I will pray for peace and protection for her and add that she would find the courage to share her life experiences, and God would provide the opportunities including at colleges and other mainstream media venues.
    God Bless!

Sadly, today we are reaping what has been fostered as fact and taught in "institutions" of "higher learning' for the last 4 generations and we are paying a very heavy price today because of such liberal teaching. Those who sat in classes of such teaching have been promoting the same thing to the students of their classes. We are reaping the confusion today of denying that God has given us a Truth where by we must live or we are on the slippery slope that will bring us down without God's intervention.

My feeling is that American Public Schools are a lost cause. I think we should transition to universal vouchers for children and let schools compete for their students. Yes, public schools need to set themselves up as charter schools and compete for their students too. If I had kids today, I would not send them to any public schools.
