For reasons that make no sense, Democrats are dead set against requiring a person to have a photo ID in order to vote. The “idea” of an “ID” is simple enough—you should vote, but your vote should be protected by making sure you are the person doing the voting. If someone votes your ballot, they are stealing it from you.

I’m fairly well known and most places I go, I’m recognized and called by my name before I even sign in at the front desk. This happens at the airport, at a doctor’s or dentist’s office, and at a bank when I wish to withdraw funds. Even so, without a photo ID, I couldn’t see a doctor, fly on a plane, or pay for groceries with a check. I couldn’t take out a loan, check into a hotel or rent a car, or pick up baseball tickets at the will-call window. In most cities I couldn’t even enter a large office building. So why the heartburn about having a photo ID to vote?

The argument that it’s racist to require the ID for voting is not just laughable—it’s insulting to people of color to assume they are somehow less capable than white people to function in our current world. Black or brown people are as smart as I am, and I know they too go to doctors, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, and fly on planes. To suggest that obtaining or using a photo is just too complicated for a black or brown person is outrageous and denigrating. Do Democrats really think so little of minorities? It’s not racist to ask ALL people, whatever color they are, to have a photo ID when they vote. It is 100% racist to insinuate that a minority person is too dumb or lacks the basic life skills to obtain or use a photo ID.

Vice President Kamala Harris insulted people in rural America this week by saying that a photo ID would be too much to ask of people in rural parts of the country, because if we had to make a photo copy (or as she said if we had to Xerox our ID or go to Kinkos), we wouldn’t have the ability to do that.

She needs to visit rural America more. She might be surprised to find out we have electricity, running water, paved roads, cable tv indoor plumbing, and yes, even connections to the INTERWEB! We even wear shoes and store-bought britches. Heck, a bunch of us have even been to an airport and flown on those big jet planes. And we even have toilet paper. If we run out, we have the NY Times, since the Sears catalog no longer gets printed. I’ll bet she doesn’t even know that we quit using horse drawn carriages years ago and drive big ol’ fancy cars like the folks in California. Now I admit, we ain’t all as fancy as the folks in CA where she comes from. We still sometimes use plastic straws, eat real ribeye steaks instead of tofu, and believe that church is more essential than a casino or topless bar. And if the VP wants to come down for a visit, we can show her that all our folk no matter what color—know how to get and use photo ID. And we also know how to get and use a cast iron skillet and this might really mess her up—we know how to get and use a rifle, shotgun, or pistol. Most of us would never think of using those things on people unless they are dumb enough to try and invade our homes or threaten our families. And then it’s not us that will need a photo ID. It’s the dumb son of a gun who tried to break into our house. He’ll need a photo ID so the authorities can notify the next of kin.

I am embarrassed that our country has a President and Vice President that we cannot be proud of, much less support in any way.

A perfect example of WHY photo ID's are necessary for voting is this: A good friend who moved to Texas from Louisiana ..... She began voting in Texas .... then found out that someone (unknown to her) was using her old address in LA and voting using her name. Now, that couldn't happen IF there were photo ID's for voting. EVERYONE in America who is a citizen of AMERICA, needs a photo ID to vote, otherwise, (and the DEMS count on this) illegals could even vote!

Governor, I read your emails to be encouraged and even have a good laugh. I sure do hope that Sarah gets elected. She is a great lady with a working brain and a Christian heart. For the life of me, why do we play dead and kow-tow to Washington when everybody knows that whatever they do is U-N-C-O-N-S-T-I-T-U-T-I-O-N-A-L? Why isn't everybody pushing hard against this fake un-elected monster who is delighting in driving the country to its knees?

I am a naturalized citizen from a Western country and I begin to think the Lord has caused a deep slumber that affects most "thinking" people's mind. I am very grateful for what you do. God bless you!

VP Harris is a total idiot!! Rural America is up and thriving and is full with most retired people who have lived their whole life in the city and are tired of all the hustle and bustle and just love the quietness of the way out of the way. Gees we have a librarywere you can get copies made. a newspaper for our area and they will make copies and for pete's sake I have my own scanner and copier in my house. It used to be hooked up to a landline and then I had fax too. I just recently got rid of my landline. And for heaven's sake we all have phone now a days you can take photos on. She is such and idiot and has now pissed off more people. She does nothing and when she opens her mouth she shows just how dumb she really is!!

Loved your monologue, Governor! Kamala Harris is way out of her league. She simply is not qualified to be VP, let alone President. God forbid! I read conservative websites and watch conservative news. Then I see the stupid things Jen Psaki, the Squad and other Dems say. I cannot help but think if something doesn't change with the Biden administration, some kind of revolt may happen. Everyday brings a new disaster. It seems like 2022 is too far away and for sure 2024 is. May God protect our country.

Your comments are exactly right; except we don't want Harris to visit!

Gov. Huckabee, I was insulted and I don't fit the "stereotype" as I am a "city person!" I do not recognize Miss Harris as VP of anything. She has NO integrity. Her past behavior personally and "professionally" are in direct conflict with my upbringing. My dad was a Greatest Generation man and grew up with nothing. Yet, he never compromised his morals or values. Hmmm. Perhaps this woman has "too much" money, education, etc. and it is apparent that she has no morals or values. I am a lifelong Californian and I am a year younger than Miss Harris. She is the kind of person my parents taught me to avoid..."you are known by the company you keep." My mom referred to her type of behavior as "loose." Who wants that kind of reputation? No one with any moral compass or sense of personal shame! My late grandmother (born in 1898) was an white woman who never had any identification, e.g., driver's license or ID card. Yet, if it was needed to vote, she would have obtained an identification card to do so. These "rulers" who have conned the public into electing them (or get in office unethically) are the people who need a lesson in life. They all have too much money. Some of these politicians have been on the public dole for their entire adult lives. They are akin to those people on generational welfare. There is really no difference...except those politicians have managed to gain more money (I did not say EARNED) into the millions? How much do you really need? Thanks for listening! Very truly yours, Kelly Donivan, El Cajon, CA

Mike, I love what you are saying about Kamala Harris in your latest news letter. I have seen the perfect commercial for Kamala to watch. It is actually a ad for Apple and the farmer-an older gentleman-- is standing in his wheat field where the big rolls of wheat are in the background and we see his truck and a small haystack. He pulls back his sleeve and changes the screen on his Apple watch and touches the phone icon. His phone rings inside the haystack and he reaches in to get it. Kamala really should get out into the rural scene more. I agree
