BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2 KJV
Ways to fight back against the Radical Left
By Mike Huckabee
Those who believed that all it took for the radical left to force their agenda onto America was for Democrats to hold the White House, a tiny majority in the House and a tie in the Senate should remember that despite the left’s efforts to create an all-powerful federal government, in the United States, the government still derives its power from the consent of the governed. And if enough Americans don’t give their consent, then we have ways to fight back.
One way is through the courts. We are seeing a lot of legal challenges to Biden’s executive orders and regulatory overreach. And some are succeeding: the Supreme Court just unanimously struck down the idea of warrantless gun confiscation. Even if they’d stacked the Court with four more liberal activists, they still would’ve lost that one 9-4.
But another way is through pushback by local and state governments. Liberals see the US as a supreme federal government with subservient state and local governments far below. They forget that they upended that notion themselves when they started the “sanctuary state and city” and the legalizing marijuana movements, both in defiance of federal law. Using their own precedents, after just a few months of disastrous Biden policies, states are already refusing to cooperate in their own destruction.
Here are just a few of the latest examples:
Tennessee just became the second state (after Arkansas) to ban dangerous, experimental hormone treatments for prepubescent children who think they’re transgender. This kind of “doctors playing God” practice used to be considered monstrous before the Democrats went all-in on the LBGTQ+++ agenda. Now, some formerly cowed medical experts are finally starting to speak up, and even some European nations and hospitals are saying no to using children as guinea pigs.

South Carolina’s Governor just signed an open-carry bill into law, allowing permitted gun owners to carry weapons openly in public. This is part of an overall growing trend to protect the Second Amendment on the state level.

Nearly a dozen states are working on bills to ban racist and Marxist “Critical Race Theory” from schools. The Governors of Texas and Florida seem to be competing to see who can defend personal liberty from leftist federal tyranny the most. And in the most encouraging news of the day, Pennsylvania voters just approved two Constitutional amendments taking away the Governor’s ability to use emergency disaster declarations to assert unlimited power over the people’s rights and freedoms.
https://www.westernjournal.
The Republican legislature tried to rein in Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf’s endless COVID lockdowns, which they say have crippled the state’s economy and destroyed jobs, but he vetoed them, which required a two-thirds vote to override. But under the new amendments, the Governor can only declare a disaster emergency for 21 days, not 90 days. After 21 days, the legislature has to vote to extend it. And a simple majority of the legislature can now terminate an emergency declaration at any time. (Wolf just extended his emergency declaration yet again, two days after the vote, so the voters’ message obviously didn’t sink in.)
Amazingly, Wolf accused Republicans of a “thinly-veiled power grab” for backing taking unlimited power away from one man and spreading it evenly among many elected representatives of the people in two branches of government. I’d say his beef is with the voters. We’ll see what they have to say in the 2022 gubernatorial election.
About that USPS surveillance operation
By Mike Huckabee
Yahoo News recently revealed that the US Post Office was involved in monitoring, scanning and collecting information from Americans’ social media posts and passing anything it considers “inflammatory” on to other government agencies. Now, the news outlet has a new report claiming that the Post Office’s covert domestic surveillance operation is “much broader in scope than previously known” and “includes analysts who assume fake identities online, use sophisticated intelligence tools, and employ facial recognition software.”
More details at the link, although the question remains, “Why are Post Office employees assuming fake identities to spy on Americans online when they’re still struggling to assume the identities of people who can deliver the mail on time?”
A wave of Anti-Semitism
By Mike Huckabee
I have always believed that words have consequences, so you should choose them carefully. Many on the left take that to an extreme and claim that words are equivalent to violence and should be criminalized. Even now, they’ve banned former President Trump from social media and are still trying to blame him for the Capitol violence, just because he urged his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically protest.”
Well, if they want to criminalize speech that genuinely incites violent and racist assaults, then they’d better start lining up at the nearest federal prison because their pro-Hamas, anti-Israel rhetoric is definitely inciting their followers to commit horrifying and disgusting acts of anti-Semitism. There are so many, I’m not going to try to list them all, but I’ll link to this article that compiles a shocking number of them from across America.

Mostly (surprise) in blue cities, they range from random threats hurled at Jewish families by passing drivers to outright attacks, such as two cars adorned with Palestinian flags, their occupants yelling, “Allahu akbar!” as they tried to run down a Jewish man who was walking home from Synagogue in Los Angeles…

…to someone throwing commercial fireworks at Jewish people out of a car in Manhattan, and a pro-Palestinian gang viciously beating an older man in Times Square who was wearing a yarmulke.
https://www.foxnews.com/us/
These incidents sound like something out of Nazi Germany, and it’s sickening to see them happening in the United States. It’s even more appalling to hear allegedly responsible, high-ranking elected officials in the Democratic Party, media figures and social activists like the leaders of BLM make outrageous false equivalencies between Hamas militants hiding behind human shields as they fire hundreds of rockets at Israeli civilians, and Israel retaliating by carefully targeting the Hamas leaders and giving up their own element of surprise by warning civilians to get clear before a strike.
https://www.foxnews.com/
If you are genuinely incapable of telling the difference between the brutal, heartless terrorism of Hamas and Israel doing its best to defend itself and stop the threat to its people while trying to protect innocent Palestinians, then you are either mentally deficient or so warped by your sick anti-Semitism that you might as well be.
Over the past year, we’ve all had to endure the most disgusting levels of hypocrisy from top level Democrats, as they excused, enabled and justified a year’s worth of violent riots, only to turn on a dime and describe one day of violent protest in the Capitol as the worst insurrection since the Civil War. Now, they have turned on a dime again and are publicly cheering on outright terrorists firing missiles at Israeli civilians, falsely condemning Israel as the aggressor, and obviously encouraging anti-Semitic hatred and violence on our own shores.
If they have any consciences whatsoever, they should hang their heads in shame and immediately and publicly denounce this violence that their rhetoric has encouraged. Sadly, they’re showing few indications that they are capable of that kind of soul-searching or self-awareness.
If it is possible, however, maybe it will be thanks to this amazing 10-year-old Israeli girl, whose heartfelt and heartbreaking video response to alleged comedian John Oliver’s condescending denunciations of Israel went viral. Let us pray this will be powerful enough to smash through the thick bubble of safety, privilege and smugness in which Oliver and other American liberals who actually take him seriously reside.

A ceasefire takes effect
By Mike Huckabee
After 11 days of violence in Gaza, a ceasefire has gone into effect. Some in Israel are concerned that it happened too soon, before the threat was neutralized. Still, the IDF has killed about 200 Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants, including some important leaders, and destroyed more than 60 miles of tunnel networks used by them to move in secret, hide and launch attacks.
https://www.foxnews.com/world/
For those Hamas defenders who keep accusing Israel of being the aggressor, I wonder how many would be willing to bet a year’s salary that if the ceasefire is broken, it will be Israel that breaks it rather than Hamas?
President Biden is getting flak for taking credit for brokering the ceasefire when it was reportedly brokered by Egypt, but to me, that’s a minor point. I'm just glad that Biden is bucking some of his far-left critics, such as the “Squad” members who are supporting the terrorists of Hamas over Israel, just as they reflexively back anyone who is anti-American or anti-Israel.
Biden said, "The United States fully supports Israel's right to defend itself against indiscriminate rocket attacks from Hamas," and that he had assured Prime Minister Netanyahu of “my full support to replenish Israel's Iron Dome system to ensure its defenses and security in the future." Biden deserves kudos for that, and let’s hope he means it.

Maricopa auditors NOT walking back claims of deleted files (UPDATED)
By Mike Huckabee
As you know, on Monday –- after huddling with lawyers over the previous weekend –- the Maricopa County, Arizona, Board of Supervisors called a “special” meeting to rant about how hard they had worked and how proud they were of the job they and their colleagues had done to oversee the 2020 election. One member even angrily accused those who question their election process of simply being upset that their candidate lost.
It really was quite something; I was going to link to the YouTube video again, in case you haven't seen this spectacle, but am sorry to say that you haven't, it's too late now. They've restricted access to it.
The Board announced during this meeting that they would not be cooperating further with Arizona state Senate President Karen Fann and the audit she had authorized, going so far as to announce their refusal to show up for the meeting Sen. Fann had called for the following day.
The Maricopa County recorder denied claims that any records whatsoever had been deleted from the voting machines, saying he had witnessed, with his “own eyes,” all data files delivered intact. If the auditors hadn’t been able to locate files, the Board maintained, it was because they had no experience with elections and “didn’t know what they were doing.” (This is also the excuse Dominion Voting Systems is using to keep from handing over administrative passwords to the auditors.)
We said in our original report that since there was a discrepancy about whether or not the records had actually been deleted, we would do more checking and try to find out what had really happened with them. It helped that Sen. Fann’s meeting was held on Tuesday as scheduled, without the shining presence of the Board but with the auditors. Afterwards, some news reports, such as those from CNN and the Associated Press, said the auditors had “backtracked” or even “reversed” their claim that files had been deleted from one of the machines.
But that isn’t true.
On Wednesday, May 20, after these stories appeared, Ben Cotton, the founder of audit firm CyFir, sent an emailed statement to THE EPOCH TIMES saying, “My testimony on May 19th before the Arizona Senate is being taken out of context by some media outlets. To confirm: the ‘Databases’ directory on the EMS Primary Server WAS deleted containing the voting databases. I was able to recover the deleted databases through forensic recovery processes.” (Note: It sounds as though they do know what they're doing.)
At Tuesday’s hearing, Cotton said that during his examination of one of the voting machines, he discovered a master file table that “clearly indicated that the database directory was deleted from that server.”
Also on May 20, Sen. Fann emailed THE EPOCH TIMES to say there had been no backtracking. “The file was deleted but CyFir was able to recover it from other areas,” she clarified.
As ET reports, Fann said in her letter to the Board that besides the database directory apparently being deleted, the main database for the election management system software was not found anywhere in the machine. “This suggests that the main database for all election-related data for the November 2020 General Election has been removed,” she told the Board.
(In response, the Maricopa County officials tweeted that deleting the files “would be a crime” and that “a day after our technical letter explained they were just looking in the wrong place - all of a sudden ‘auditors’ have recovered the files.”)
Either way, with Cotton saying the allegedly deleted database directory has been “recovered,” will they be able to tell what was on them? Well, we don’t know – the team of auditors is trying to ascertain whether or not these files can be analyzed. “We are performing data continuity checks to ensure the recovered databases are usable,” he said. He stands by the audit’s preliminary findings.
I suppose the auditors may continue working at this while they’re on hiatus. Until May 24, Phoenix’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum will be busy with school graduation events. Once those are over, all the ballots will be moved back to the coliseum and the audit will resume. There's no rush --- it will take as long as it takes. Right now, the ballots are stored in a separate nearby building that's kept under 24-hour guard.
So, the main take-away at this point is that major media reports about “backtracking” by the audit team are WRONG. I know it’s hard to believe that CNN might have gotten something wrong, but there you go. The county officials deny that the files were deleted, but the auditors are apparently standing by what they have said about files being deleted.
THE EPOCH TIMES reported this in a premium story.
Here’s another write-up at PJ MEDIA.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday another election took place, this one in Pennsylvania, and there were some concerning glitches. Ballots cast by mostly-Republican voters in Fayette County failed to scan because they didn’t have the printed bar codes.
Officials started noticing this late in the day. On Thursday, they were doing a hand recount of all unscanned ballots, after Republican county officials helped obtain a judicial order to that effect. The county issued a statement reassuring voters that the issue was being dealt with through “alternative solutions.”
The county hasn’t yet explained why the barcode was missing on some ballots. “I’m assuming there was nothing nefarious,” said Republican State Rep. Matthew Dowling, “although I think that does have to be investigated to see why this happened.” The Fayette County Republican Party chairman said he thinks this was “an honest mistake” by the printing company.
The county uses Dominion voting machines, but local officials say this problem was just with the ballots themselves and had nothing to do with Dominion. The printing was done by another company.
Reportedly, some voters in Fayette County are so fed up with the process that they don’t want to vote again. This is exactly the wrong response – just the way those with the wrong agenda for America are hoping they’ll react. What could be better for their desired outcome than for conservatives to give up and stay home?
What needs to happen –- for starters –- is exactly the opposite: for Republicans to turn out in droves for every election and for many thousands in precincts across the country to become poll workers and volunteer as new poll watchers. We also need to ditch the electronic voting, which has proven itself to be a disaster, and go back to the classic way of hand-marking and hand-counting paper ballots, with voter ID, signature matching, a carefully monitored chain of custody and more video cameras than they have in the typical Vegas casino.
There is nothing remotely racist about insisting that elections be honest and auditable. In fact, it would be racist NOT to insist this, because every one of us deserves honest elections.
