1. Report: 40% of small businesses are struggling to pay rent

By Mike Huckabee

If small business is the backbone of the American economy, then we are in serious need of a chiropractor. A report by the small business network group Alignable found that over 40% of US small business owners said they couldn’t pay their rent on time or in full in November. That’s the largest percentage so far this year, and it comes in the middle of the holiday season, which is when receipts are normally at their highest.

https://justthenews.com/nation/states/center-square/report-41-small-businesses-cant-pay-rent-month

The struggles and rent delinquencies range across all industries. For instance, 44% of retail stores and restaurants, 45% of gyms and 57% of beauty salons said they couldn’t make their rent in November. Owners cited a number of reasons, including higher rent and lower income, but 60% cited inflation. A number of small business owners also cite the crippling costs of theft in cities where leftist leaders have stopped enforcing the law as a major anchor on their businesses.

https://www.foxnews.com/video/6316250780112

Here’s a story about a small business owner in Portland, Oregon, who gave up and posted a sign on the door saying, “Our city is in peril,” and that she’d decided to close her business for good after being robbed five times in three weeks.

https://www.westernjournal.com/small-business-throws-towel-posts-note-door-5-words-reveal/

I’ll start the countdown clock until the same activists who demanded that the police be defunded and the jails emptied attack the fleeing business owners for leaving the residents with no places to obtain goods and services. These people are known as “community organizers” because they organize communities right out of existence.

2. Charlie Brown News

By "Huckabee" pop culture guru Pat Reeder (http://www.hollywoodhifi.com)

This past Saturday would have been “Peanuts” creator Charles M. Schultz’s 100th birthday. Many comic strip artists who were inspired by him are paying tribute.

https://chicago.suntimes.com/entertainment-and-culture/2022/11/22/23473408/cartoonists-honor-charles-m-schulz-100th-birthday-tributes-in-saturday-comics

Even if you don’t normally read the comics, it might be fun to check them out today if you love “Peanuts.”

Speaking of “Peanuts,” it’s a great holiday tradition for many families to watch the TV special, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and the classic that started it all, “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” But in 2020, Apple bought the rights so that if you don’t own them, you can only see them on Apple TV+ (Good grief!) PBS was able to broadcast them for a couple of years, but that ended.

Luckily, Apple is allowing non-subscribers to stream these cherished specials for free during a limited window. You can still watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” through Sunday, and mark your calendars to watch “A Charlie Brown Christmas” from December 22 through the 25th. This article tells you how:

3. Not enough votes

By Mike Huckabee

Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy admitted that despite President Biden’s hyperbolic campaign for an “assault weapons” ban, there aren’t enough votes for it in the Senate to overcome a Republican filibuster. It’s one of several big liberal wish list items the Dems hope to force through during a lame duck session before they’re finally thrown out of leadership in the House after two excruciating years in complete power.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/sen-chris-murphy-pops-bidens-hopes-assault-weapons-ban-says-votes-arent-there

The ban on so-called “assault weapons” is a perfect example of how Democrats insist on endlessly regulating things they know nothing about, such as guns, agriculture, automobiles, energy, industry…well, you name it. But they’re almost jaw-droppingly ignorant on the subject of guns.

"Ignorant" is not an insult, it’s the correct term. It doesn't mean stupid, it means lacking knowledge. For example, in pushing for this ban last week, Biden declared, “The idea we still allow semiautomatic weapons to be purchased is sick. It’s just sick. It has no, no social redeeming value. Zero. None. Not a single, solitary rationale for it except profit for the gun manufacturers.” In reality, a semiautomatic weapon is any gun that loads the next round without having to cock it first. That covers about 50% of all new firearms and most guns made since the 1800s.

And as I’ve had to explain repeatedly over the years, “assault weapon” is a made-up term created to make certain weapons sound scarier to people who know nothing about them. They’re not “weapons of war” or necessarily any more lethal than any other weapon. It just means that they have one or more of certain arbitrary features, some of which are cosmetic and others are actually safety features. Biden is probably thinking of automatic weapons, like machine guns, which have already been banned by federal law for most of the last century.

And don’t even get me started on the crazy idea of banning men under 25 from owning firearms, which violates the Constitution in so many ways, I wouldn’t know where to start. Although I will mention that federal courts already struck down a California law barring gun ownership by anyone under 21 of any of the 247 genders California currently recognizes.

https://www.bizpacreview.com/2022/11/26/cnn-analyst-says-ban-on-men-under-25-owning-firearms-will-limit-the-number-of-mass-killings-1312293/

I pray that you never have to rely on a plumber who knows as little about water and pipes as gun control activists know about guns.

4. Blasphemous story

By Mike Huckabee

Warning: This story is disturbing and, frankly, blasphemous. But it does illustrate how the trans propaganda movement is reaching even into the highest levels of some churches. I had to work pretty hard for my degree in religion, but this suggests that they’re now handing out free theology degrees with subscriptions to The Advocate.

https://www.foxnews.com/world/cambridge-dean-defends-sermon-jesus-trans-body-vaginal-side-wound-new-heresy-age

And as long as we’re on the subject of radicals and quacks who try to justify giving drugs, mastectomies, hysterectomies and castrations to confused minors under the guise of “compassion”... Even some transgender people are starting to concede that social media peer pressure has a lot to do with the huge leap in the number of kids thinking they’re transgender. It’s not just that there were always vast numbers of hidden transgender people who didn’t feel comfortable about speaking up until now, as a growing body of evidence is starting to show.

5. YouTube continues to suppress free speech

By Mike Huckabee

While leftists continue to squeal like stuck pigs over no longer having a monopoly on speech on Twitter, and claim that conservative news and opinion are “misinformation” that are going to “kill people,” they can take solace in knowing that they still have plenty of other outlets eager to toe their line. One of them is YouTube, as former Rolling Stone reporter Matt Taibbi found out.

https://hotair.com/david-strom/2022/11/22/youtube-purveyor-of-disinformation-n512839

Taibbi published a video on the misinformation campaign used to falsely discredit and quash the Hunter Biden laptop story during the 2020 election. The FBI encouraged Facebook to censor it, and they did. But now that even CBS has finally admitted that the laptop is real, Taibbi’s video is still censored as “disinformation” while videos that falsely claim that the laptop is “Russian disinformation” are still on YouTube and topping search results.

In short, as David Strom at HotAir.com explains, they’re labeling false information as true and true information as false. So double-check anything you see on YouTube before you believe it. The political videos they push might just be the political equivalent of those kitchen hack videos that will make you lose a finger. Taibbi sums up the larger implications of this for those who demand “official” monitoring of “disinformation”:

“YouTube and (parent company) Google now become exhibit A in the ultimate truth about any attempt to ‘moderate’ content at scale. If you make even a good-faith effort to weed out ‘disinformation,’ relying on official bodies to help, what you’ll be left with is…official disinformation.

But this isn’t a good-faith effort to weed out untruths. YouTube has become a place that censors true content but traffics in official and quasi-official deceptions. It’s become indistinguishable from a state censorship bureau.”

Sadly, I think that’s the real goal.

6. Don't look now, but Maricopa County set on certifying election

By Mike Huckabee

By the time you read this, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors may have gone ahead and certified their results for the 2022 midterm elections, regardless of the serious questions raised. They were originally scheduled to convene on Monday and certify the election at 9:30AM (Mountain Time). However, they’ve craftily moved the certification up to 8AM so they can get it done an hour before they’re supposed to produce subpoenaed election records, we assume the ones responsive to Kari Lake’s lawsuit.

Here’s the link to watch live (or perhaps the playback, if it's already happened). Or, if you plan to be in the neighborhood, the address is 205 West Jefferson Street in Phoenix. This could get interesting.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsLFOoH2L0A67d6ohTuHaPLN0UNTzDPwc

Arizona counties face a deadline of Monday for certification. But we found a local story that says, “Not so fast.”

As 12NEWS, the NBC affiliate in Phoenix, reports, two GOP candidates for statewide office have filed suit, and one of them --- the one who isn't Kari Lake --- gets a hearing on Monday afternoon.

As for Maricopa County, by far the largest county in Arizona, the election was an unholy mess, and the board, along with county recorder Stephen Richer, is once again on the defensive against major and well-deserved criticism. Richer even enjoys demonstrating his defensiveness on MSNBC and also trashing former President Trump, which doesn’t do much for his credibility. As we’ve reported, he also appears to have exploited a technicality to skirt a new state law and accept “Zuckerbucks.”

On November 19, Jennifer Wright, head of Attorney General Mark Brnovich’s Election Integrity Unit, wrote to the Maricopa County board suggesting that their response to printer problems at some voting centers on Election Day might have broken some laws. She asked for a “full report” on Election Day issues before today’s certification.

Board chairman Bill Gates sent back a five-page letter on Sunday to say that “Maricopa County followed state and federal laws to ensure every voter was provided the opportunity to cast a ballot.” They’re planning to go ahead with the certification.

Well, maybe they did provide an “opportunity” to vote –- IF the voter could manage to wait in line for several hours due to printers and/or tabulators being down, notably in heavily Republican areas. If we were talking about, say, Georgia, and horrendous lines and ballot issues had plagued, say, predominantly Democrat areas of Atlanta, would such a conclusion be good enough for, say, Stacey Abrams? Or any other Democrat? They’d be screaming that voters had been disenfranchised.

Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is one of the two statewide GOP candidates who have filed lawsuits. On Wednesday, Lake demanded that a stack of documents and information from Maricopa County be delivered to her by today. She has said she has more issues to bring up, including a “smoking gun.” As of this writing, very early Monday morning, a hearing for her case hasn’t yet been scheduled. According to the current vote count, Lake lost the race by 17,000 votes, which is six-tenths of one percent.

Also, the Republican candidate for attorney general, Abe Hamadeh, has filed suit to contest the results in his race and has a hearing set for 2PM in Maricopa County. According to the current vote count, he lost that race by a mere 510 votes. Moral: don’t ever think your vote doesn’t matter! Even if you’re discouraged by the likelihood of election fraud, remember that the wider the margin, the harder it is for cheating to change the outcome.

Two other Arizona counties, both heavily Republican, also have issues and are delaying certification as long as they can. Details here.

https://www.12news.com/article/news/politics/elections/decision/think-arizonas-elections-are-over-not-so-fast-heres-why-mondays-big-day

With more analysis of the Maricopa County debacle, Jordan Conradson at THE GATEWAY PUNDIT wrote Sunday evening that since Republicans made up an estimated 72 percent of the turnout on Election Day in Maricopa County, he believes this was a deliberate attempt to quash their vote.

As you know, tabulators were malfunctioning in “red” areas and printers ran out of ink (!!!), with these problems affecting 60 out of 230 locations. It had been claimed that machines were checked and found to be working the night before the election, but just a few hours later on Election Day, 25-30 percent of them were down. Voters whose ballots couldn’t be tabulated were instructed to put them into “Box 3” to be counted later. Uncounted ballots were reportedly placed in duffle bags with already-counted ballots, leaving no way to determine which had already been counted.

Assistant Attorney General Wright had told the board that her Election Integrity Office had received hundreds of complaints from concerned citizens, including firsthand eyewitness accounts. She expected a comprehensive list of all the equipment failure and answers to specific questions, here…

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/11/breaking-arizona-attorney-generals-office-fires-off-letter-maricopa-county-regarding-2022-midterm-election-day-irregularities/

“Maricopa County did not take responsibility for any of these issues in its new letter,” according to Conradson. In other words, the county board essentially blew off the concerns of the assistant AG.

Dr. Kelli Ward, state GOP chairperson in Arizona, called the Maricopa Board of Supervisors a “disgrace.” (Aside: recall that Ward recently had her cellphone records subpoenaed by Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Kangaroo Kommittee for a fishing expedition that has, shockingly, been green-lighted by the Supreme Court. I digress. https://www.newsmax.com/politics/kelli-ward-donald-trump-supreme-court) “Will the Election Integrity Unit sit back and take this?” Ward asks. “Or will they demand more than excuses?”

Also, the letter from the board contradicts what they said on Election Day. In the letter, it says voters had to “check out” before they left a voting center to go vote at another location. On Election Day, video instructions from Gates and Richer were that voters could leave and go to another center, with nothing about “checking out.” They didn’t reconcile the number of ballots cast with the number of “check-ins.”

The letter even admits they didn’t follow some laws that they consider antiquated now that voters can go to whatever “voting center” they prefer, rather than the old way of precinct voting. It is alleged that the way they chose to do things this time broke the chain of custody.

It bears repeating that if the vote is certified and Kari Lake loses her challenge, Arizona’s new governor will be current secretary of state Katie Hobbs, who was responsible for overseeing the elections statewide, declined to recuse herself even though she was a candidate, and presided over this year’s unverifiable mess, the very one that led to her own election win.

Obviously, this is a developing story; we hope to have an update later today.

    Hello Mr. Huckabee,
People need to be reminded that a rock in a bad person's hand killed Able. A rock in a good person's hand killed Goliath! It's not about the rock!

Mar D Largo is a resort. Guests aren't "vetted" - or is that a new way of putting back the old signs : no Jews, no Blacks or no dogs or Irish?
Trump believes ALL Americans have equal rights whether it's David Duke or Louis Farrakhan.
It's time to stop worrying about the apostate " churches" and GOP Blue Reich reserves think. And I am not a Republican ( as that party is as dead as the DNC) - I am a Trump MAGA and proud of it.
