Weekend Election results show 2022 may be difficult year for the Democrats

Election results from over the weekend are still rolling in, and they’re not very good omens for the Democrats in 2022, or for anyone pushing the current rabid “woke” culture.
For instance, residents of Southlake, Texas, defied an ocean of slanted media coverage calling them racist for opposing racist “anti-racism” indoctrination in schools. They turned out in numbers larger than in the presidential election to vote for a mayor, two city council members and two school board members. And they made it clear that they want Marxist “Critical Race Theory” out of their schools.
Here’s more proof of how much voting in local elections matters: the Republicans have enough votes in the Kansas House and Senate that they just overrode the Democrat Governor’s veto of a bill to lower the concealed carry age limit from 21 to 18. It seems odd that Democrats think Americans are mature enough to vote at 16, mature enough to join the Army at 18, but not mature enough to own a gun until they’re 21.
And here are more reasons why the Democrats’ House majority could be in trouble.
A reminder: things only change when you go out and vote. I know a lot of Republicans are feeling discouraged and think the elections are rigged and saving America is a lost cause. Well, it doesn't look nearly as bleak as it has in other times, like Washington’s or Lincoln’s. We’ve faced worse and triumphed. But we didn’t do it by sitting on the sofa and watching Netflix while letting people who wanted to destroy America take over. The good news is that you’re not being asked to sacrifice your lives, your fortunes and your sacred honor. You just have to speak up, volunteer, organize, campaign, help turn out the base and go vote yourself. Doesn’t sound all that hard when you put it in context. And look at this weekend’s elections to see how well it works.
Never forget: the people who want to change America into a socialist dystopia are very loud but small in numbers. They’re just the tail wagging the dog. Go vote and bob that tail.
A Chinese rocket is falling towards Earth

Last week, China launched a rocket as part of its plans to build a space station. And next week, the 100-foot, 21-metric ton core of that rocket, which is currently orbiting Earth, will re-enter our atmosphere and crash…nobody knows where. It’s most likely to land in the ocean, but for the first time since the 1990s, a nation, China, was irresponsible enough to turn something that big and dangerous loose onto the world completely uncontrolled, where it could wipe out an entire population.
So, pretty much like COVID-19.

Bill and Melinda Gates to divorce

Monday, the world’s richest man, Bill Gates, and his wife Melinda announced that they’re divorcing after 27 years of marriage and three children.

Most of the coverage centered on their vast wealth (over $130 billion) and the controversial Gates Foundation charity that they say they’ll continue to run together. As a former pastor who used to counsel troubled couples, I fear I may be the only one who’s sad to hear that they’re breaking up a marriage and a family. I guess it’s yet more proof that there are some things money can’t buy, even if you have more of it than anyone else in the world.
Jennifer Oliver O’Connell at Redstate.com noted that the public’s response to the announcement was mostly mockery, with the sharpest comment being that Melinda has joined everyone else in the world in wanting Bill Gates out of her life.
In another subscriber-only article, O’Connell notes that in their statement, the Gates family asks for “space and privacy,” two things that Bill Gates thinks that none of us have a right to. She details how Gates remains incredibly secretive about himself, his businesses and his massive Gates Foundation, all while building a system for intrusive digital vaccine ID passports, advocating for virus shutdowns to continue for months, and quietly buying up a vast amount of farmland while pushing for everyone to have to eat synthetic beef.
She also voices concerns that I’ve heard from others that while Melinda has also shown some megalomaniacal tendencies, without her, Bill may descend into full, Bond villain, “world domination” mode. The good news is that it’s not clear whether they signed a prenuptial agreement, so maybe he’ll only have half as much money to do it with.
Derek Chauvin juror interviewed by the WSJ

One of the Derek Chauvin jurors gave an interview to the Wall Street Journal, explaining the jury’s thinking during deliberations. According to him, the threat of riots and violence if they voted not guilty had no influence on their guilty verdicts. He says that they all had reasons based largely on the video and the state’s forensic witness for why Chauvin was guilty on each charge. Redstate.com has a summary that you might want to read. I’m sure Chauvin’s attorneys who are preparing an appeal will want to read it.
41 Days in charge, VP Harris has yet to visit the Border

Don’t look at your watch to see when Vice President Kamala Harris is going to show up at the border or hold a press conference on the crisis there. You’ll need a calendar for that.

Monday marked 41 days and counting since President Biden put her in charge of fixing the unholy mess he created, and she has yet to visit the border or talk to reporters about it.
Instead, she’s reportedly held some Zoom calls with Central American leaders, and the Administration has floated the brilliant plan of turning those nations into paradises that refugees won’t want to leave by giving billions of our tax dollars to their corrupt governments to improve their people’s lives. Because that always works.
As Breitbart.com points out, the Corruption Perception Index, a least-to-most ranking with the most corrupt nations having the highest numbers, places El Salvador at #104, Guatemala at #149 and Honduras at #157. That puts them among the most corrupt governments in the world. So giving their leaders billions of dollars isn’t likely to make the lives of their people any better, unless they’ll rest easier knowing their leaders have 14-karat gold toilets.

The audacity of Romney to ask if they were embarrassed. He went running to President Trump to endorse him and help get him elected. I guess moral outrage only applies if you don’t need anything. Hypocrite !!
