10-Year-old obliterates argument for masks at school

I get the feeling (and it’s a hopeful feeling) that I might have seen a future President of the United States enter the national consciousness when this video went viral.

It’s 10-year-old fourth grader John Provenzano, who gave an impressive speech before his school board in Marin County, Florida, pointing out the illogical mask mandate rules, the health problems they’re causing, and the hypocritical ways in which the mandate is being enforced, and pleading for an end to it. In a quote that would make the Founders proud, he declared, “Breathing freely doesn’t seem like something we should have to ask any other people for permission for.”

Unfortunately, the board didn’t have the wisdom of this 10-year-old and voted to keep the mandate in place until summer school starts.

For those who think John was just reading a statement written by his parents, check out his terrific appearance last night on Tucker Carlson’s show. I could name a few Congress members that I’d love to see him replace right now.

    I literally broke down sobbing! When children are having to ask to simply be allowed to breath and are being bullied by teachers who won’t let them remove their mask to even take a drink of water something has gone terribly wrong in this nation and must be fixed NOW!! It’s been insane...teachers and really a lot of people have seen covid as an excuse to abuse everyone else!!

    This occurred in Martin County-Stuart FL. I learned last night though that John was escorted out by MC Sheriffs as our Commission claims John was trespassing. I find this extremely unacceptable and will be making my voice heard on it.

    Clever boy. It is good to see a kid who actually has a strong opinion about a subject that is important and expresses it. I wonder if there are other kids who hate being forced to wear stupid masks. Wearing a mask is a Satanic ritual.

    Way to go John!! You have intelligence and more importantly, common sense beyond your years, and certainly way beyond the idiots who come up with these ideas! I have a grandson your age, and he too has to wear a smothering mask all day in school. Luckily, it's not as hot here as in Florida, yet. The whole thing is pure insanity! You summed it up best, no one should have to ask permission to breathe freely. Stay strong, the generation you and my grandson belong to needs people who can think for themselves!
