CBS News reported that the Biden Administration has been lying from the start about that Chinese spy balloon that they took a week to shoot down. The original story was that they didn’t detect it until it was almost over Alaska, so they had to wait until it crossed the US to make sure it was safe to shoot it down over the ocean.

But according to CBS, US intelligence watched the balloon lift off from China’s south coast and had been tracking it for nearly a week before it got to Alaska. It makes one wonder if Biden would’ve ordered it shot down at all if it hadn’t been spotted and created a public uproar.

So far, minimal debris has been recovered from the ocean of that first Chinese spy balloon that Biden finally ordered shot down. No debris has yet been recovered from the three flying objects shot down over Alaska, Canada and Lake Huron. The first two were shot down over rugged, remote terrain and the third is likely on the bottom of the lake.

Meanwhile, Rep. Dan Crenshaw revealed what Congress was told in their briefings. He called the last three shoot-downs UAP’s (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenons.) He said, "The first two UAPs were smaller, the size of an ATV, and harder to detect. The third resembled a balloon, and was easier for the radar to pick up. All moved with wind currents." He also said these things are being picked up more often now by radar because new technology enables us to detect objects that are smaller and slower-moving than before.

Michigan shooter update

Here again is the link to Fox News’ continually updated reports on the tragic mass shooting at Michigan State University, where three students were killed and five others critically injured.

As I told you, some people unfortunately can’t resist rushing to politicize every tragedy, and this was no exception. Michigan state House Majority Leader Ranjeev Puri issued a statement reading, “F--- your thoughts and prayers," repeating the false claim that “this is the only country where this happens,” and calling for “common sense gun reform immediately.”

President Biden and Vice President Harris joined in, with Biden saying, "There is no rationale for assault weapons and magazines that hold 50-70 bullets," and Harris tweeting, “Congress must pass common sense gun legislation, including a ban on assault weapons and universal background checks. And President Biden will sign it."

And now, the facts: The shooter at MSU used a handgun, not a so-called “assault weapon.” And the reason he was able to stage his deadly assault wasn’t because there were no gun laws that could’ve stopped him. It’s because a “progressive” Democrat prosecutor refused to enforce them.

The shooter was known to authorities, and in 2019 was facing up to five years in prison on a felony charge of illegally carrying a concealed handgun without a permit. But then-District Attorney Carol Siemon let him plead guilty to a misdemeanor and get just over a year of probation. Siemon recently retired under criticism for being soft on crime and refusing to hold criminals accountable.

So there already was a gun law on the books that would have prevented this attack, but now three people are dead and five more fighting for their lives because a “progressive” prosecutor had more sympathy for violent criminals than for their potential victims.

This is the true danger stalking America’s streets. I don’t want to hear one more Democrat unironically parrot the term “common sense” until they first admit that the real deadly lack of common sense is coming from their own side’s criminal-coddling prosecutors.

Biden family financial “empire” expands to the Middle East

The U.K. DAILY MAIL has done it again, this time obtaining an affidavit from a former Treasury official that deepens our understanding of what those globe-trotting Bidens were up to in their foreign business affairs, this time with the Saudis. There can be little doubt that Joe Biden was in on it all.

This new information from investigative reporter Josh Boswell centers on President Biden’s younger brother Jim, now 73, who was hired to engage in secret negotiations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on behalf of the American construction company Hill International because of his relationship with the then-Vice President.

At stake: $140 million. Jim Biden was hired by Hill because Saudi Arabia “would not dare stiff the brother of the Vice President who would be instrumental to the deal.” Vice President Biden was leading delegations to Saudi Arabia at that time.

According to a sworn statement by Thomas Sullivan, a former senior U.S. Treasury official working as a private investigator, Jim Biden was hired to negotiate with the Saudis “because of his position and relationship” with Vice President Joe Biden. Twice, Sullivan said Jim had told him he was often sent into meetings to represent Hill International because “of course, the name didn’t hurt” and that he was the Vice President’s brother, “or words to that effect.”

The Saudi government had owed Hill International $140 million for their work building desalination plants, some dating back to the 1980s. In February 2011, Hill hired three law firms to help them recover the money. This was done through the “Special Claims Process,” a federal government program to settle the Saudis’ unpaid debts to American companies.

One of those law firms, Lankford & Reed, claimed Hill also brought in Biden Baby Brother around that time to fix a “back-door settlement” for $100 million and then failed to pay the firm their 40 percent cut after working on the case for years. Sullivan’s affidavit arises out of litigation concerning that alleged double-cross, as he was the private investigator hired by the law firms to question Jim and his wife, who is an attorney, about the back-door deal. The interview Sullivan conducted was at Jim’s home in Merion Station, Pennsylvania, in 2017.

According to Lankford & Reed, when a meeting with the Saudis took place in February 2012, the law firms were excluded and Hill Construction sent in Jim Biden. It was the CEO of Hill, Irvin Richter, who was said to have remarked that the Saudis wouldn’t dare stiff the VP’s brother.

Intriguing side note: Sullivan says that as he walked back to his car after that interview, accompanied by Jim’s wife Sara, he was unnerved by the presence of “two large men, in a big black sedan parked on a side street looking directly into their house down the walkway I had just exited. I thought they were some kind of security, probably Secret Service.” Joe Biden’s family were not entitled to Secret Service protection at that time, because his term as VP had ended.

On their walk to the car, Sara told him that Jim and his brother were “very close” and that they “told each other everything.” He says he reached inside to get her a business card, “and just as I did, a blue sedan, with a single male driving, pulled quickly into their driveway. She said, ‘See what I mean’?

So, by “everything,” she meant this interview as well.

The reporter who broke the story, Josh Boswell, appeared on HANNITY Tuesday night, saying that this is “the latest in a long line of pieces of evidence that show that Joe probably did know what his family members were doing on business dealings they had. “The most interesting one” of these pieces, he said, was this affidavit from Thomas Sullivan, because Jim is so “incredibly frank” with him.

Jim is repeatedly boasting, Boswell said, about only getting in on this negotiation because he was the Vice President’s brother. Jim also went on about how close he and his brother are.

Of course, we also know that it was the same with Hunter, who was very close with dad and also well aware that most of what had happened to him in his life had been because he was a Biden.

Significantly, this Saudi deal was going on in 2017, the same time the Bidens were very much involved with the corrupt, CCP-connected Chinese energy company CEFC. (Goodness, this was such a busy time for that family --- the period when Joe was winding down as VP and marking time before becoming the nominee for President.) So if these brothers “tell each other everything,” one wonders how much detail Joe had about all that, too. One would think that since both he and Jill were going to be issued KEYS to the office Hunter was planning to share with CEFC, he was pretty well clued-in.

As Boswell put it, “I think that we’ve got a huge amount of evidence here that suggests that Joe, in fact, not only knew about these business dealings but may have even been involved in them. I mean, I’ve brought forward witnesses who say that they were parties to phone calls where Joe was even involved in some of these business deals. I hope that that’s something that, now, the House can start to uncover now that they’ve got subpoena power.” That would certainly include the China deals as well and would involve looking into bank accounts.

Of course, someone is already doing that: Kentucky Rep. James Comer, chair of the House Oversight Committee. He said on HANNITY that there were “probably a dozen or more countries” with which the Biden family was involved. “This is a very well-organized family that has been involved in, you know, shady business dealings with our adversaries, not just in Russia, Ukraine and China, which we all know about, but also in the Middle East.” He’s found that Jim operated mainly in the Middle East, in fact, with “multiple deals.” The story just keeps getting bigger, and Comer can’t yet determine how much money was involved, except that it was “tens of millions of dollars.” The influence-peddling schemes involved “multiple members of the Biden family,” he said.

Comer also stressed the important point that these deals were initiated while Joe Biden was Vice President, with payments scheduled for a little later, when Joe was out of office, as in the “marking time” period I mentioned above.

Before the subpoenas go out, Comer says, “we’re giving the White House every opportunity to comply with our requests...and the ball’s in their court now.” Well, I hope he has those subpoenas ready to go, because he’s going to need them. The White House is the opposite of transparent, and you’ve seen the fight Hunter’s attorneys are putting up.

Ohio train derailment update

The more we learn about the toxic substances and smoke from the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, the more horrifying the story gets. Animals and fish are dying all over the area; people who do dare to return are experiencing burning eyes, headaches and sore throats; and there are concerns about toxic substances getting into waterways, wells and other water sources.

Here is a recap of major points from a briefing by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, the most shocking revelation being that the train that derailed wasn’t classified as a high hazardous materials train. Because some cars were carrying hazardous materials but most weren’t, the railroad wasn’t required to inform anyone in Ohio about what it was hauling. Gov. DeWine said if this is true, then it’s absurd, and Congress needs to change the law.

Many people are asking where our underqualified Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has been while Americans suffered (so far this month) three train derailments, all following a historic supply chain crisis and multiple massive airline cancellations on his watch. He hasn’t even visited East Palestine as of this writing. Well, you’ll be relieved to learn that he hasn’t just been taking parental leave or flying government jets off on vacation.

No, Secretary Pete has been focusing like a laser beam on the most important issue: making sure that construction workers hired to build infrastructure projects aren’t white.

No, I’m not making this up. While the people in Ohio were wondering if it would be safe to breathe in their hometown following the train derailment, Buttigieg was at a National Association of Counties conference, publicly fretting that in the past, too many infrastructure projects in neighborhoods of color were built by hardhat workers who didn’t look like they came from the neighborhood.

No wonder we have so many racist bridges! On the plus side, with him in charge of transportation, maybe the racist bridges will all get knocked over by runaway trains or crashing jets.

The road from Blue to Red

I told you the terrifying story about Democratic Rep. Angie Craig, who was assaulted last week in an elevator at her DC apartment building. Thankfully, she managed to fight off her attacker by throwing hot coffee on him. I wondered at the time if she would become a Republican now, the cliché being that a Republican is a Democrat who got mugged. Well, maybe not officially, but she sure is talking like one.

One of Craig’s top staffers is a “defund the police” activist who once responded to killings by police in New York by tweeting “Burn. It. All. Down.” And Craig herself has attended fundraisers by groups tied to the “defund the police” movement. But here are some of the things she’s said since learning she was assaulted by a repeat offender accused of 12 previous assaults over the past decade:

"I mean, it wasn’t even in every instance that he got 10 days or 30 days. Many times, the charges were completely dropped before any justice was achieved at all…If you throw somebody in jail for 10 days and think, 'There's your punishment, and we're gonna let you right back on the street,' what the hell do you think's gonna happen?"

Craig said there must be some way to keep criminals from “getting back out" and getting away with the same crimes. "We have to get these repeat offenders off the streets."

Well, there IS a way, but it requires a lot of people in big blue cities like D.C. to start checking names with an (R) next to them on the ballot. I know it sounds hopeless, but at the rate the Democrats are letting criminals out, it won’t be long before everyone’s been robbed or assaulted, and maybe the entire citizenry will all finally turn into Republicans and vote to save themselves.
