A History: Hillary and spying scandals go way, way back
“...Talk about strange cases of projection. The Democrats were accusing Trump of colluding with Russia while they were acting like the KGB.” --- Roger L. Simon in The Epoch Times
Politics is a blood sport, to be sure –- in fact, I’ve long said that you don’t want to get into it if you can’t stand the sight of your own blood –- but Hillary Clinton has a long history of stepping over what are generally seen as ethical boundaries. Let’s get into our Way-Back Machine, boys and girls, and head back to the mid-90s to see what Hillary was involved in then. (Not that she doesn’t have an even earlier history, in my home state of Arkansas, but we’re just looking at the federal level right now.)
Heeeeere we go!!
It’s the mid-90s, and instead of “Spygate,” Hillary is caught up in another scandal with a similar name, “Filegate." First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton has hundreds of confidential FBI files right there in the White House. These very personal, unverified files consist of raw information gathered by FBI agents, material they’ve put together from what they’ve observed and what others --- neighbors, family, friends, colleagues, exes, financial institutions and various tipsters --- have told them.
We walk around the Washington DC of 1996 and ask questions, but no one can say who had hired Craig Livingstone, the former bar bouncer who was mysteriously vaulted into the high position of President Clinton’s head of White House Security. He had recently been fired from that job when it was learned his office had improperly obtained over 700 FBI files, many on Republicans, including former Bush officials Marlin Fitzwater, James Baker and Brent Scowcroft.
Former FBI agent Gary Aldrich has said Hillary hand-picked Livingstone for the job.
No one seems to be able to tell us who had hired him, when you’d think that would be easy to do. Something that should be straightforward has become a highly controversial issue among members of Congress and White House attorneys. White House counsel Bernard Nussbaum feverishly denies that he he told an FBI agent (Aldrich?) that Hillary knew and had vouched for Livingstone. “I am mystified and outraged that someone would attribute to me something I never said,” his statement reads. Here’s a report from CNN, which, in 1996, is actually a news organization:
https://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1996/news/9607/25/livingstone.hrc/index.shtml
This must be the report that has Nussbaum in such a fury. It’s obvious that people close to this matter are trying to distance themselves from the story that Hillary knew Livingstone or his mother. The tactics used are familiar to what we've seen any time Hillary is in the news with yet another scandal: “The Republicans are just looking for a way to keep the issue in the headlines,” says TIME’s Eric Pooley. “They have yet to move beyond the tangential relationship and prove that the FBI material was gathered for some criminal use.”
In other words, we have no evidence of criminal intent, no reasonable prosecutor would take the case, blah blah blah.
“What’s clear is that the FBI files fiasco was a monumental White House bungle and raises some very serious questions,” Pooley goes on to say. “But Americans are tired of people raising serious questions. Until the finger can be pointed as high as Bill and Hillary, it won’t be a big issue in the campaign.”
Sound familiar? Eric Pooley of TIME on Hillary’s “Filegate” in 1996 sounds amazingly like Charlie Savage of The New York Times on Hillary’s “Spygate” in 2022. As we reported yesterday, Savage condescendingly said that readers don’t want to expend significant mental energy and time” on “dense and obscure issues,” so it might be just as well not to cover the scandal at all.
http://content.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,6984,00.html
The White House of 1996 calls the gathering of FBI files a mere “bureaucratic blunder.” A civilian Army investigator named Anthony Marceca is alleged to have been involved in collecting the sensitive information on many prominent Republicans, but when questioned behind closed doors by the Senate Judiciary Committee, he “once again” exercises his Fifth Amendment rights and refuses to answer any questions. Sen. Orrin Hatch, who chairs the committee, says Marceca is the White House’s fall guy in this scandal. “It’s apparent that he’s the official dumpee in this matter,” Sen. Hatch says.
https://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1996/news/9607/18/fbi.files/index.shtml
It’s clear that the political world of 1996 is very similar to that of 2022. Let’s see...what do these two years and these two scandals have in common? What’s the common thread? Say it with me: Hillary Clinton!
Let’s hop into the Way-Back again and head back to the present, stopping off for a moment in 2001. The mystery of who hired Livingstone still hasn’t been solved. In fact, Livingstone appears in an interview broadcast on “Hannity & Colmes,” denying that there was an “enemies list” even though Bush and Reagan appointees figured prominently in those files. When asked who had hired him --- of all people --- for that top White House job, he insists he doesn't know. But he says Hillary didn’t. (If he doesn't know, how does he know she didn’t?) When asked if she RECOMMENDED him for the job, however, he says, “I don’t know. And, you know, actually, I shouldn’t say absolutely not, because I don’t know. But I don’t have any knowledge that she did hire me. Let me put it that way.”
Oh, well, with that mystery unsolved, let’s head home. We're back to February 17, 2022, and Hillary is in the news yet again with more court filings about a huge scandal that involves spying on people. A special counsel is getting closer to revealing what her role might have been. And this is her surprisingly lame defense:
“Trump and Fox are desperately spinning up a fake scandal to distract from his real ones. So it’s a day that ends in Y. The more his misdeeds are exposed, the more they lie. For those interested in reality, here’s a good debunking of their latest nonsense.”
Then she links to that fine pillar of journalistic integrity, vanityfair.com, where it says (based on New York Times reporting), “You’ll never believe it, but Hillary Clinton did not, in fact, spy on Trump’s White House. In less breaking news, Donald Trump remains a moron.”

That’s it? Somehow I expected something better, even from her.
New Undercover Expose Video from Project Veritas
Project Veritas just released a new undercover expose video, this time on the FDA’s role in promoting COVID vaccines.
In the hidden camera footage, FDA executive officer Christopher Cole is shown saying that “from everything he’s heard,” it’s not probable but certain that the FDA will announce a policy that everyone must get annual COVID-19 shots forever, even toddlers. He said, “It hasn’t been formally announced yet ’cause they don’t want to rile everyone up.”
Referring to pharmaceutical giants like Pfizer, Cole said, “It’ll be (a) recurring fountain of revenue. It might not be that much initially, but...if they can get every person required at an annual vaccine, that is a recurring return of money going into their company.”
Cole said, “The drug companies, the food companies, the vaccine companies, they pay us hundreds of millions of dollars a year to hire and keep the reviewers to approve their products. If they [Big Pharma] can get every person required at [to get] an annual vaccine, that is a recurring return of money going into their company.”
Cole admitted that “all the tests aren’t there” to prove safety or show the longterm effects of the vaccines, especially on children. When asked if there’s really an emergency requiring an Emergency Use Authorization to vaccinate children, he replied, “They’re all approved under an emergency just because it’s not as impactful as some of the other approvals” (i.e., it’s easier to get around regulations because the only standard is that it be more beneficial than harmful.) He predicted it would be a gradual thing, starting with schools mandating it.
James O’Keefe of Project Veritas said a part two of the expose is coming. For their part, the FDA released a statement saying, “The person purportedly in the video does not work on vaccine matters and does not represent the views of the FDA.”
Sure, he sounds completely out of the loop.
Assaults on Asian-Americans are up
The latest deadly incident happened Sunday in New York City when Christina Yuna Lee was followed into her apartment and stabbed more than 40 times by a suspect identified as Assamad Nash. Nash had at least eight prior arrests, including charges of punching a man at a subway turnstile and attacking a woman. But under “progressive” DA Alvin Bragg’s new lax rules, he was let out on “supervised release” (not very supervised, obviously). He was due back in court on the latest charge on March 3rd, but now that he’s allegedly brutally murdered someone, he’s finally crossed Bragg’s threshold for actually holding on to a criminal.
Asian-American leaders held a rally to protest anti-Asian violence and the crime wave caused by “progressive” DA’s. This came less than a month after the death of another Asian-American woman, Michelle Go, who was shoved into the path of a subway train by another homeless man. Also, just days after the indictment of a black homeless man for allegedly beating 61-year-old Yao Pan Ma to death in Harlem.

New York authorities are dealing with over 30 hate crimes against Asians, and it’s a nationwide problem. There have been similar attacks on Asian-Americans, especially in blue cities like San Francisco, where crime is out of control due to “progressive” DA’s releasing criminals over and over and refusing to enforce the laws.
And what is to blame for these vicious attacks on Asians? Well, according to the White House, it’s obvious. It’s all Trump’s fault because he blamed China's communist government for unleashing COVID-19 on the world, which they did.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/psaki-hateful-rhetoric-covid-19-origins-crime-asian-americans
I’m curious: with both the media and social media imposing a blackout on everything Trump says, how are all these career criminals, gang members and deranged homeless people in blue cities who apparently are huge MAGA followers getting their marching orders from Donald Trump?
New York’s new Mayor Eric Adams knows why there’s skyrocketing crime in the Big Rotten Apple
It’s the press’s fault for not being diverse enough.
https://nypost.com/2022/02/15/mayor-eric-adams-claims-white-journalists-misrepresent-him/
Adams had just returned from Albany, where he had unsuccessfully tried to get state-level Democrat office holders to understand that their pro-criminal policies like “no cash bail” had turned New York City back into the dangerous criminals’ prey-ground that it was before Rudy Giuliani (the last real Republican mayor) turned it around. He was understandably frustrated, but you’d think the way to handle that would be by shaming his wrongheaded fellow Party members, not by attacking the press as racists for reporting the truth or asking tough questions.
Adams lit into the assembled reporters about there being too many white people covering these stories, and demanded, “Diversify your newsrooms so I can look out and see people who look like me.” Not mentioned was the fact that his own staff had personally picked all the reporters who were allowed in.
For the record: when a deranged black homeless man with a criminal record a mile long is wandering around loose to stab an Asian-American woman to death, that’s not a “diversity” problem. It’s a crime problem. It’s also a senseless tragedy and a complete abdication of the city’s duty to keep its citizens of all colors safe.
Another Problem with Public Mass Transit
One of the biggest totems of liberals is their fervent belief in public mass transit. They think if we all just crammed into buses and subways, it would save the Earth (it worked out really well during the COVID pandemic, didn’t it?) That unwavering faith is why they continue to pour billions of dollars into bullet train projects that lay tracks only into bankruptcy.
Well, here’s yet another reason why mass transit doesn’t work when liberals run it: Authorities in Seattle have declared the transit system “unusable” because there are so many threatening people doing drugs on it that riders have been scared away, and the air is too dangerous to breath due to smoke from heroin, pot, meth and fentanyl.
https://saraacarter.com/seattles-transit-system-unusable-due-to-toxic-fentanyl-meth-smoke/
The downtown train station has been declared a “lawless hellhole.” Although to be fair, you could say that about entire cities run by leftists.
Whoever imagined that leftist politicians would somehow find a way to make the air in buses and subways even more dangerous to sniff?
