1. Biden classified doc scandal sparks deeper look at Ukraine

In yesterday’s installment of the Biden classified documents scandal, we made the case that some of the documents at issue likely contained information about Biden selling out his office to Ukraine as son Hunter raked in the cash.
One connection among various players involved the Election Integrity Project (EIP), which got its start-up funding with a big check from George Soros and was originally headed by former FBI investigator and Senate staffer Daniel Jones. The Ukrainian organization AntAC --- Anti-Corruption Action Center, which was (haha) being investigated for corruption --- also was funded by Soros.
From 2017 to 2019, Jones was a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, where we found this brief bio:

Jones is now president of the Penn Quarter Group. That sounds intriguingly like the PENN Biden Center, which received all its funding from the University of PENN-sylvania, which, in turn, received a whopping $50 million in funding from the Communist Chinese. Could there be any connection, or is this another amazing coincidence?
We went to the PQG website to see if they had a physical address, wondering if it might be the same as for the Penn Biden Center (101 Constitution Avenue), but there’s only a P.O. box. Surely if they actually shared the office space being searched by Biden’s attorneys for Obama-era top-secret documents, we’d have heard. But who knows? So far, we haven’t even heard why they were searching in the first place.
According to the bio of Daniel Jones at their site, Jones was not just any staffer but a staff member for the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. This would’ve been when California Sen. Dianne Feinstein headed the committee.
So, what does the PQG do? They say they “fill information gaps.” Specifically, they “work with executive boards, organizational leaders, creative departments and other data-driven agencies to fill information gaps and solve complex problems.” We’d say that any organization whose mission it is to “fill information gaps” is, in itself, a complex problem.
To fill those gaps and solve those problems, they assemble diverse teams consisting of “open source specialists; public policy experts; financial analysts; media specialists; marketing professionals; business and not-for-profit leaders; academics; and experts in social media analysis; as well as former elected officials [editorial aside: we’re betting Donald Trump and Devin Nunes are not among them]; investigative journalists [editorial aside: we’re betting John Solomon and Paul Sperry are not among them]; government investigators; and intelligence professionals.”
Jones founded another nonprofit called Advance Democracy Inc. Like other nonprofits, it calls itself nonpartisan, which is hilarious when you go to the “Program Areas” page that lists the issues they’re involved in…

ADI “investigates entities undermining the global consensus on climate change.” That’s just for starters; if you read the whole page, you’ll really get the idea of what they’re about, and it’s certainly not REAL election integrity, nor is it the First Amendment. As expected.
ADI is typically the kind of organization funded by George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, and as Jones received his start-up money for the Election ‘Integrity’ Project from Soros, we thought we’d go looking to see if Soros still has the checkbook out for him. We didn’t find a list of donors.
According to InfluenceWatch.org, Advance Democracy “investigated the dissemination of QAnon conspiracy theory and social media messaging in the 2020 U.S. Presidential elections.” What, Twitter and Facebook and the FBI couldn’t handle that job all by themselves? Apparently not, since ADI “called on Twitter and other social media companies to do more to combat QAnon-related content and accounts.”
We’d note that conservatives as a group are typically targeted as QAnon believers by organizations like this one. As I’ve said repeatedly, when leftists first started in about QAnon, we had to look it up because we even didn’t know what it was. And we’re pretty darn conservative around here.
As for Daniel Jones, Influence Watch says, “After leaving the U.S. Senate, Jones founded Advance Democracy Inc. in January 2018, four days after Jones was identified as a partner of Fusion GPS and its investigation of the Trump-Russia collusion claims.”
Ah, Trump-Russia collusion --- whatever happened to that? Anyway, Jones also became a partner at Fusion GPS, creator of the Steele “dossier” --- ironic since his “nonpartisan” organizations have purportedly fought the influence of Russian disinformation. What would he call the Steele “dossier”? Okay, it wasn't really Russian, but it certainly was disinformation.

Here’s the entry for Jones as an individual. He professes to be pro-democracy and anti-disinformation, but he seems to be a pro-Demo-CRAT who is trafficking in disinformation.

After all this, here’s what we’d still like to know: Is there any connection between Jones’ PENN Quarter Group and Joe Biden’s PENN Biden Center? Maybe that’s just a coincidence and there’s nothing to it. But we need some intrepid investigator to find out.
Closing note: Speaking of intrepid investigative reporters, in our searches of John Solomon’s work at THE HILL, we ran across a number of scathing reviews of his work there, specifically his reporting on Ukraine, from publications such as the WASHINGTON POST.
Remember the controversy at that time about his reports? Solomon got into hot water over not disclosing that sources Joe DiGenova and Victoria Toensing had also been his attorneys. Also, as WAPO reported, “THE HILL said the central idea Solomon advanced about Ukraine and Biden was flawed in many ways and ‘disputed by officials in both Kyiv and Washington.’”
So, Trump-hating officials in Washington DC and Ukraine --- individuals such as Andrew Vindman and others at the U.S. embassy --- had disputed Solomon’s reporting. My, my. Given what we know today, Solomon’s reporting on Ukraine looks more solid than ever and is especially timely now. He was over the target then and still is. Here’s an example from 2020…
As Biden’s attorneys rush to conceal classified documents relating to Ukraine (and China), old critiques of Solomon such as this one from 2020 provide the kind of unintended amusement we love.

“Never mind climate change or gun control,” Libby Watson wrote in 2019 (“The Rot on THE HILL”), after Solomon stepped away to start his own service, JUST THE NEWS. “Now you have to spend all your energy figuring out which Ukrainian is the good prosecutor and which is the bad one, and remembering the details of why Joe Biden really is innocent in case your uncle starts shouting at you about it over the spaghetti.”
I guess keeping track of all that stuff was too hard for her little brain. She should have listened to her uncle; he was right.

We do know for sure now that Hunter Biden had easy access to areas of his father’s home and garage where top-secret documents were stored. And, yes, this would have been when he was in the middle of negotiating a deal with Chinese energy company CEFC…
Highly recommended: Jim Geraghty at NATIONAL REVIEW asks the question, “Who Ordered the Review of Papers at the Penn Biden Center?” Special counsel to President Biden Richard Sauber claimed that classified documents were discovered when Biden’s personal attorneys were packing files in a locked closet to prepare to vacate the office space. But it doesn’t make sense that those attorneys would be doing Biden’s packing for him. Would YOU pay movers who charged up to $1,000 an hour?
And we don’t know why they were vacating, when the university had said the plan was for the Center to stay in operation after Biden himself moved on.
The lawyers even went into a file marked “VP Personal,” where the first classified document was reportedly found. Someone had to have been looking for something.

2. March for Life

Today in Washington, the annual March for Life is being held, and it’s historic. Not only is it the 50th March for Life, it’s also the first to be held following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruling that inspired it.
A lot of people are questioning why the March should go on if Roe is no more. These people don’t understand the issue. I said for years that when Roe was finally, blessedly on the ash heap of history, that wouldn’t be the end of the fight to restore respect for the sanctity of life, it would just be the beginning of an entirely new struggle on multiple fronts. There would be states that would pass laws banning or limiting abortion, but there would be others that went beyond Roe. Not only did that happen, but it’s shocking at how fast and how far the left has taken their conscienceless promotion of abortion.
Since they refuse to call abortion opponents “pro-life,” I will not humor them by using the dishonest euphemism, “pro-choice” (they recognize no right to any choice other than killing babies in the womb, or they wouldn’t be trying to shut down, and even vandalizing, pro-life pregnancy centers that do nothing but help women who choose to keep their babies.) When they started pushing for the “right” to dismember and kill babies right up through the ninth month of pregnancy – an abomination so foul that Roe never even allowed it – and then even tried to use the guise of “choice” to oppose granting the basic human right of emergency medical treatment to babies already born during “botched” abortions, they made it obvious what they are: “pro-death.”
Fortunately, I believe the vast majority of people, even those who favor allowing abortion under certain circumstances, are repulsed by such bloodthirsty fanaticism. Polls bear that out. Like so many radical elements of society today, their voice has been amplified far beyond their numbers.
There are many people in America, even some who think of themselves as “pro-choice,” who are appalled by the pro-death fanatics, even in states like California, where the Governor is trying to turn baby killing into a tourism profit center. There are also millions more who had no opinions on this subject, but are now being forced to think about it. These are the hearts and minds that the pro-life movement needs to reach, using honest, fact-based intellectual and emotional arguments.
The battleground has shifted from the Supreme Court to 50 different states, each of which may require different persuasive approaches. It will be a harder and more complicated battle than ever before. That’s why it’s so important for the March For Life, and the broader pro-life movement, to carry on, even in the face of threats and violence. We are, after all, dealing with people who have no respect for life.
But I believe it’s a winnable battle, if for no other reason than most people are basically good. And when you’re arguing on the side of scientific facts and defending innocent life, you already have an advantage over people who are arguing for killing babies and constantly having to invent new euphemisms just to keep from admitting what abortion actually is and what they're really promoting.
Related: Hall of Fame football coach Tony Dungy announced that he’ll be attending the March for Life today in Washington. That sent some alleged sports writer for The Nation on a rant, attacking him as a “rightwing extremist.” He’d probably want me to give him publicity by getting outraged enough to mention his name. But this sort of garbage is just par for the course when you’re a public figure who dares to stand up to the culture of death.

I suppose I actually should thank him for confirming that pro-abortion radicals actually believe that killing babies in the ninth month of pregnancy, or even letting them die after they’re already born, is a “mainstream viewpoint,” but that thinking that life in the womb is sacred and deserves protection, as civilized people have for centuries, is “extremism.” I guess if you can believe that, you can also believe that writing for The Nation makes you a sports expert worthy of respect, but Tony Dungy isn’t one of those.
3. The SCOTUS Leak
After months of investigation of about 80 suspects among SCOTUS clerks and others, the US Supreme Court Marshal announced that they have been unable to "identify a person responsible by a preponderance of the evidence" for leaking the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. That was the leak that set off nationwide violence, threats against conservative Justices, and an assassination attempt on Justice Kavanagh.
This was such a massive breach of Supreme Court rules and professional ethics at the highest level that law professor Jonathan Turley said the fact that they weren’t able to identify a culprit is “almost as chilling as the leak itself."
At the link above, a number of Congressional Republicans react, calling the failure “inexcusable” and predicting it will lead to more rogue behavior. It also adds fuel to the criticism of Chief Justice Roberts, for entrusting the investigation to the Supreme Court Marshal. But Roberts’ critics will get a chance to see if they can do any better because this mystery has just been added to the growing list of things that will be investigated by the House Judiciary Committee.
4. Hockey player says no to wearing a rainbow “pride” jersey

Kevin Downey Jr. at PJ Media has a good commentary on the story of Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov, who is being savaged by LGBTQ activists and woke sports writers for refusing to wear a rainbow “pride” jersey before a hockey game.
The team had ordered it as part of a gay pride night promotion. Provorov is Russian Orthodox and would not violate his religious beliefs. He said after the game, “I respect everybody’s choices. My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion. That’s all I’m going to say.”
But that wasn’t all that was said about him. Some sports writers are melting the ice with all their foaming at the mouth about what a hateful, homophobic bigot Provorov is, and demanding that he be fired and the Flyers fined a million dollars for not showing ironclad fealty to the gay rights agenda. Well, if they really feel that people should lose their jobs for being intolerant bigots, then why aren’t they on the unemployment line right now? Why are their employers keeping such repellent religious bigots on the payroll?
I assume they also defended the players who refused to stand for the National Anthem. I guess they think allegiance to BLM is sacred, but religious beliefs are not.
Three cheers for Provorov for refusing to be bullied into betraying his beliefs. I think the vast majority of fans agree with him, judging from comments online and the fact that his jersey is currently sold out at the online merch store.
Incidentally, Greg Gutfeld made a great point. He said he wished that Provorov hadn’t even brought up his religious beliefs because he shouldn't have had to cite that to justify his decision. It’s reason enough that he did not want to submit to his employer compelling him to endorse political or social statements that have no connection with his job.
Unlike Colin Kaepernick, he didn’t say anything that might cause problems for his employer. He didn’t denounce gay people. He just declined to actively and publicly endorse a political statement unrelated to his job that he opposes. That’s a basic First Amendment right.
And if the jerks attacking him disagree, then what if the Flyers held a Republican night and ordered every player to wear a MAGA cap? Would they savage any player who declined? If not, then please do the world a favor and shut up.
5. Texas and Oklahoma’s lawsuit
Texas not only has to do President Biden’s duty of protecting our national sovereignty at the border, now Texas and Oklahoma are suing to stop the Department of Health and Human Services from giving control over America’s public health decisions to an unelected international body.

The HHS rule change gives the World Health Organization the authority to declare a public health emergency inside the US, infringing on state and federal authority. The change came in 2017 but wasn’t widely noticed until the pandemic. The states called on Biden to repeal it, but he refused, so now it’s going to court. Considering how badly both the WHO and our own federal health authorities handled COVID, maybe we need a lawsuit to bar either of them from being allowed to declare a nationwide health emergency. 6. Good commentary
Good commentary on how Antifa is now openly calling on its chapter to launch violence nationwide against police, yet the Biden DOJ refuses to recognize them as an organized terrorist group. But they have a well-funded task force to trace down every granny who walked past the Capitol on January 6th and hound them into the slammer.
