I know I’m getting a lot of flak in the comments for telling Republicans to knock off the suicidal third party talk and the despondency and the “I’ll vote Democrat just to show how mad I am at the Republicans” nonsense. I know that a lot of people are feeling that, and here are the numbers to prove it.

Look, if you want to cut off your nose to spite your face, do it with a pair of scissors, not by voting Democrat. That will make the entire country bleed.

Taking your ball and going home literally means you let the other side win by default. The Republicans have an excellent chance of retaking both the House and Senate in 2022 and stopping this full-scale assault on our rights, freedoms, security and economy, but not if we don’t show up to vote. And I mean vote for a major party that actually has a chance of winning, not a splinter party that just splits the conservative vote and elects the left with a plurality. Republicans in Georgia didn’t show up for the runoffs in the same numbers as they did in November, and that gave us two of the most radical Senators in history and a tied Senate controlled by Kamala Harris.

I’m sorry if you don’t like me telling you the truth, but there are any number of media outlets that tell people only what they want to hear, regardless of reality. Here are some cold facts: If you claim to be a conservative yet you vote to empower leftists, you’re not a conservative. As for just sitting out future elections, I’ll remind you of the wisdom attributed to Edmund Burke:

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Dear Mike, you are absolutely correct !!! and I hope you can get this message out and help people who are true conservatives to remember your words and VOTE Rinos out and True Conservatives into office to regain majorities in both houses of Congress in 2022. Just remember the third party fiasco of Ross Perot, which caused Democrats a guaranteed win! We surely do not want a third party!! President Trump transformed the Republican party to include hard working Americans and slashed unemployment across all races and groups. Let's get smart and continue the America First Legacy of President Trump. It was working and will make Americans prosperous again.

While you make a valid point, it remains obvious that the Republican Party (other than a few politicians who actually represent us) remain wolves in sheep clothing. Wolves for their own good, sheep when it comes to those they are elected to represent. This has been evident for a long time and those in Washington fail to really understand and know how most of America really feels. I am done blindly following the Republican Party when they have consistently failed to represent us and are passive when dealing with the Democrats. This is the view of those I know and who my husband works with in construction.

I think you are right but how can we get rid of the republican traitors? We do not want all those mit romneys to stab President Trump from behind anymore

Don't worry. If Democrats were the only ones to vote for, I wouldn't vote anymore. Or I'd start another party, but not a third party. Conservatives need to get together and work this out, including kicking out the RINOs. My governor in Michigan is supposedly going to try to get the natural gas turned off in MICHIGAN. That's how we heat our houses! And there's a majority of Republicans in Michigan government. They need to get their act together and get along!

I totally disagree. Continuing on in the same fashion will not work. Is it working now? What did the GOP do in Trump's first two years? They passed a budget and appointed some judges. Did they give parents a voucher so lower and middle class conservatives could get their kids out of the Progressive public schools? Did they shrink government? Did they pass a BALANCED budget? Did they pass a law defining human life to start at conception? Did they even de-fund Planned Parenthood? I don't care a whit if the Republicans win anything the next cycle. I want CONSERVATIVES to win. We might have to lose some elections to flush the fakes out of office but so what? What are they doing for us now? They talk a good fight to raise money but they don't actually DO anything.

With 70 million plus there is good chance we could create a 3rd party and just do away with the GOP! We`re all so sick of them turning on us, you know the ones that got them in there!! But it`s like your missing the BIG ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM ELECTION FRAUD!! WE cannot allow this to happen!! To say: Taking your ball and go home, let the other side win by default is insane!! If we do THERE WILL NEVER BE AN ANOTHER HONEST ELECTION!!

Just my opinion here, but more than half of the Republican voters are very angry at the Republican Party because we feel betrayed by the party. If they leave the GOP, the GOP will be done. The new party will replace them. Those voters don't see that as it being a bad thing if the GOP goes under and a new party emerges.

    Hi Mike,
Enjoy your newsletters and posts on Facebook. At first I thought forming a new party for Trump supporters (Patriot Party or whatever they're going to call it) was a good idea, especially given the tendency of some RINO republicans to go over to the democrat dark side. After considering your articles and arguments why this is a terrible idea, I agree 100% that to do this would split the Republican vote and guarantee dems win forever, just like what happened with Ross Perot splitting the Republican vote and guaranteeing Bill Clinton won a few years back. If the democrats want to split into two and/or the RINOs like Mitt Romney decide to form their own party of "Trump Haters" (maybe that's a good name for them?), more power to them; that split could likely help the real Republicans regain a majority in Congress and hopefully take back the Whitehouse. I like the analogy you gave about 1 person out of 100 decides to smoke in a non-smoking restaurant; much better to ask the 1 person to step outside than disrupt the other 99 people. I don't know if the proportions of RINOs in the Republican Party are like that, but only 7 of the 50 Republicans in the Senate went with the Dems to convict Trump at the "trial" so maybe 14% is a reasonable estimate of the number of RINOs in the Republican Party. Would welcome your thoughts on this if you have an opinion or would care to make a guesstimate. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and insight into the craziness of the political world of the new Biden administration. Aloha from the bluer-than-blue state of Hawaii; I hope you don't think we're all left-wing Trump-hating democrats here in the islands, because we're not. Some of us still believe in putting America first. Best Regards, Phil

The only third party we need is the complete replacement of the Democratic Party. The only way we survive as a nation is to completely and forever destroy them and their ideology.

Yes, prudence is required. Teddy Roosevelt tried that and we got Woodrow Wilson. I also am a bit unsure about the Texit movement. What are the pros and cons? Emotions are high right now with Trump supporters like me who feel the ellection was STOLEN and since the DEMONcrats are in control will we ever have another honest election?

Republicans are their worst enemies. We need what Trump done in areas of administration but we dont need a bitter person who cuts down and belittles associates or continuously brags. We do have honorable men to lead our country. But because they are beat at the poles they won't try again.

I absolutely agree with you. A GOP divided is an insurance for the Democrats to entrench themselves if not forever for a long time. I have always been a Republican, and I am a Trump supporter of his policies. I voted for freedom, for the Constitution, for the Bill of Rights contained within the Constitution, for a robust economy, for less regulations, for smaller government, for life, for freedom of religion, energy independent country, jobs, no to socialism among other important issues that define freedom. Those who want to divide the party based on one man, need to look deeper at the policies he advocated, and delivered. All Republicans should be able to unite based on policies that support our Republic. I am a legal immigrant, and I see the greatness of this country, and what made it so. Let's keep our Republic.

AGREE with you 100%, Rev. Huckabee! Emotions are running high right now, but GOD'S WISDOM WILL PREVAIL with REAL REPUBLICANS!
Keep on telling the TRUTH! We have always been able to count on you for that and you do the right thing no matter what. I remember the DEMOCRAT lady that was fired for doing what was right - you took her part! Thank you for your faithfulness and your courage! God bless and keep you and yours!

Quit posting this crap, I will vote for the person who best SERVES this country. The Republicans have not done that, except for Trump, and many of the Repugs didn't support him, so why should I support them? Until you can answer that question, please quit trying to bully people.

I don't understand how creating a third party--the Patriot Party--can be a bad thing if all the people who voted for Trump in 2020 vote for him (or a candidate he supports) in 2024. Can you explain why it wouldn't work?

I'm from Georgia, not Atlanta, two polar opposites. Georgia did turn out to vote, but hear me, something goes on in Atlanta. Even without President Trump believing election fraud, most small cities in Georgia, rural areas, and suburbs know something is wrong! Purdue had great strategy knowing he could not take Atlanta and instead visited rural area after rural are, small cities, and suburbs. But 90% of Georgia cannot make a win if fraud is occurring.

Conservatives may feel they have no vote in Federal elections. True or not - getting fair elections starts at the local level of voting for state legislators, governors, judges, and law enforcement.
Stick with the party and get involved with primaries. Yes, make sure you pick the persons with integrity to run for office. Look up party caucuses in your state.

The comment you ended your response/article “……good men to do nothing” ……… did you mean “do nothing” and accept this theft of our voices because we were blatantly ROBBED ? To forget it, roll over, and WAIT TO DO THE SAME THING IN A FEW YEARS ………like vote?????? No, I will NEVER EVER VOTE DEMOCRAT………and a possibility of NEVER VOTING AGAIN if this YUGE FRAUD IS NOT CORRECTED AND MADE RIGHT.!!! IT IS DANGEROUS TO CONTINUOUSLY APPEASE. THIS ELECTION WAS FRAUDULENT AND WE ALL KNOW IT. TO GO ON AS IF NEXT TIME IT WILL BE DIFFERENT ……is really talking down to 80 MILLION people at the least. The old guilt trip adage of not voting means other side will get the votes………doesn’t work when we know all they have to do is fix the machines the way they want . WE ALLLLLLLLLL KNOW Mr. Huckabee .

The entire premise and all conclusions get on one single flawed starting point: that we have 2 distinct political parties today when, in fact, there is no longer a distinction with a meaningful difference. I will grant there are a few exceptions (Paul, Lee, Cruz in the Senate and Jordan and Nunez in the House among the few), the party itself is the very definition of establishment, part of the swamp, and largely beholden to either special interests or the deep state itself. What we have are two different sides of the same flawed establishment party coin. So what is really being proposed is a legitimate second party, not third. And the reality that it is extremely difficult to get a candidate elected from any other party reflects just how interested those within the establishment are in preventing it. So...sadly (perhaps pathetically), until we get money out of politics, remove wanton power out of weak men seeking political office, and impose term limits for legislators, we will not have a legitimate alternative.

I believe it is interesting to note that none of these things are being advanced by current establishment party Republicans when they are in the majority...yet they should be if they were truly conservatives.

Governor, all this talk of a third party is not only nonsense, it's suicide for Republicans. If someone who claims to be a Republican is just in to cause trouble, we need to continue on regardless. A new third party will only weaken the conservative cause. Remember, the Republican party is the party of Abraham Lincoln. Throwing out the baby with the bath water is not a solution. Strengthen the weaknesses and put pressure on those who are causing division in the party to either support what it stands for or leave. I'm not about to give up on the Republican party. It has done much good for this nation.
