Former (and future, we hope!) First Lady Melania Trump has been doing interviews to promote her husband’s candidacy and also her new memoir MELANIA, and one with Maria Bartiromo just aired on SUNDAY MORNING FUTURES. We’ll just turn the floor over to the two of them, but first would like to note a couple of things.
First, she does reveal that she has a different opinion on abortion than her husband does, and to the media, of course, this is the big take-away. (THE NEW YORK TIMES otherwise dismissed her book as “slim and full of obfuscations.”) It’s clear, though, that on this issue she respects her husband as the one who is the elected official.
Secondly, and more to our point, she tells in her book about her bank, after she and the President had left the White House, canceling a business account she had set up, saying “they would not be able to do business with me anymore.”
She also said she had a “very prominent email service provider” suddenly terminate their agreement. And the board of directors of a school set to accept her “donations for the foster students” told her they would not accept her money. They “found out that it was me,” she said. “They said we could not go on.”
We found more details on that story…

“It’s very sad,” Melania told Greta, “because, who suffered? They were children from foster community. They didn’t have a scholarship that somebody would provide for them.”
Melania does think this is getting better, that some people “see what’s going on” and are “not afraid to speak.” About time. This kind of thing is unconscionable.
