Idaho Gov. Brad Little signed an executive order to the Secretary of State to “take all necessary steps” to ensure that only US citizens can register to vote, in order to “protect election integrity, voter confidence and the sanctity of voting.”
The problem is that the states where such a thing is most likely to be a problem that could affect the outcome of the election are run by Democrats who would never take such measures. They mouth the same arguments as the Biden White House, which insists there’s no need for a federal bill barring non-citizens from voting because that’s already illegal, it never happens, there’s no such thing as election fraud, why, just suggesting it exists is insurrection and treason (if you’re a Republican), blah-blah-blah, you know the drill.
But seriously, would it really be that hard to cheat in an election if it can even happen in America’s most closely-watched hot dog-eating contest?

Speaking of people who will swallow anything, if you don’t believe we need special measures to ensure that only US citizens vote in US elections, check out this video from the Oversight Project. They interviewed residents of an apartment complex in Charlotte, North Carolina, with mostly Hispanic residents and found that nearly 10% of them were both registered to vote and not US citizens.
I liked Townhall.com columnist Derek Hunter’s take on the Democrats’ rabid opposition to any laws to prevent vote fraud or late term abortion, both of which they strongly insist do not exist: “If a city wanted to ban unicorns, what does it matter? They don’t exist, so ban them. You could argue it’s a waste of time, but that’s it. Government wastes all kinds of time, so who cares? If voter fraud never happens, what’s the problem with putting into place some measures to ensure it doesn’t?”
And leave it to the Babylon Bee to sum up the Dems’ duplicity both perfectly and hilariously…
