Did you SEE it?
Gee, that’s the same question everybody was asking after the Trump-Biden debate a couple of weeks ago. Now we’re hearing it again. This time, it would have been easy to give up on waiting for Biden’s so-called “big boy” press conference, as it ended up starting almost two hours later than scheduled. But if you hung around long enough to see the live broadcast, it was just about as good as you probably anticipated it would be after seeing Biden’s debate performance. That is not intended to be a compliment.
Here’s a good summing up from FOX NEWS’ Trace Gallagher: “Did he call...Vice President Kamala Harris Vice President Trump? Yes. Did he make a million gaffes? Yes. But the mistakes, exaggerations and outright falsehoods isn’t what struck [us], nor was it the rambling, stuttering and stumbling, which has become part of the President’s incoherent delivery. What struck [us] was the subdued tone and tenor, meaning the President’s lack of authority.”
We wondered if neurologists all around the world were tuning in to watch Biden and analyze his outward signs of deterioration. Gallagher might not be a neurologist, but he noticed something we had: that when Biden gets lost in his words or forgets his point, he pauses to regain his train of thought and during those moments has go-to fillers such as “anyway” and “by the way” (which, by the way, he used a LOT on Wednesday during both scripted and non-scripted remarks). “And even though the bar has been lowered dramatically,” Gallagher said, “[it seems] the President is struggling to rise. And the President knows it.”
It’s downright delicious that the party that has spent years falsely accusing President Trump of clinging to power and refusing to step away is now having to deal with its own President clinging to power and refusing to step away, even when his own (former) supporters increasingly want him gone. We’ve also seen a great deal of evidence that it’s not Biden’s creeping mental infirmity making the Democrats want him off the ticket --- it’s that his chances of beating Trump in November are surely almost nil.
As Steve Hilton pointed out on the same show, Biden’s continued fight is driven by “his ambition and his ego and his vanity and his narcissism.” Biden has $220 million in the bank. The donors might not want to give him any more, but “he’s got enough to keep going.” And yet we all know this is someone who “obviously can’t serve as President for another four years.”
So Hilton has come to two conclusions:
1) Biden will be his party’s nominee.
2) Biden will lose.
That sounds like a great plan, but Mehek Cooke of the RNC disagreed that it would happen, saying she believes that with Biden’s slow cognitive decline, “he’s not gonna last the next ten days.” And that does seem more likely. There’s always the 25th Amendment as a last resort.
Guests on MSNBC and CNN praised Biden’s performance, with one calling it “incredibly strong,” but these folks must have been watching the wrong channel.
Biden was asked directly if he would get out of the race if data showed Kamala doing better then he would against Trump. Biden said he would if his staff came to him and said there was no way he could win. But then, in that creepy whisper he uses sometimes, he denied that anyone is saying this. Oh, Mr. President, they most certainly are. In fact, that’s the one reason Democrats want you gone.
Biden said from the podium that he’d take another neurological exam (“another”?) if his doctors want him to, but “no one’s suggesting that to me now.” If that’s what he thinks, he needs to have his hearing tested along with his brain. He’s really just lying, though. As Steve Hilton pointed out, George Stephanopoulos asked him just last week about taking a test.
On Wednesday, Biden’s craziest outtake-of-the-day happened even before his NATO press conference. He was onstage to introduce Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. So, how did that introduction go, you might ask?
Biden: “And now I wanna hand it over to the President of Ukraine, who has as much courage and determination as he has. Determination, ladies and gentlemen, President Putin.”

As awful as this sounds, some GOP observers were pleased to say that Biden was just barely good enough to stay in a while longer, while others pointed out that it was still below the bar for a President seeking another term. So Steve Hilton’s’ prediction is at least possible.
“Worst possible outcome,” said a Democrat source to FOX NEWS Senior White House correspondent Jacqui Henrich. Similarly, a former White House correspondent for the DAILY CALLER said on X, “Probably worst case scenario for Dems. Did well enough to invigorate blue MAGA and bad enough for ‘Vice President Trump’ and ‘Putin’ to circulate among normie voters all week

As the DAILY CALLER characterized Biden’s night: “Unlike Biden’s debate performance, or even his primetime interview on ABC NEWS, the President’s public appearance did not appear to set off panic within his party or amongst his allies. Rather, the President appeared to just meet already low expectations in his high-profile press conference.” The bar for him must be set VERY low.

We spoke of it openly here, of course, for years, and so did some other conservative outlets, some more bluntly than others, but mainstream “journalism” ignored the story and played along with the myth that our President was astoundingly vigorous, involved and clear-headed, just as Karine Jean-Pierre said. Why, she couldn’t even keep up with him!
But when Biden deteriorated further as an election loomed, they got “the memo,” likely from Barack Obama (who appears also to be working through surrogates like George Clooney), that it was time to move away from Biden and towards his anointed successor, whoever that turns out to be. They professed to be “shocked” at what we all saw at the debate. Good grief; we know that many of them, especially those in DC, must have been aware of his mental state for years and were complicit in keeping the secret. They were “shocked” only that the secret was out.
If you’ve thought this media sounds a lot like the old Soviet Pravda, you’re right. Victor Davis Hanson has a must-read piece comparing our own “journalists” to the “journalists” who worked in service to the Soviet Communist Party during the time of General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev. He was in terrible physical shape for his age, and for the last five or six years of his life was really a leader in name only.
The State-controlled media “spun narratives that Brezhnev was hale, hearty and working long hours on behalf of the Russian people. Any dissenting journalists who sought to report the true, sad state of affairs were in danger of losing their jobs, freedom --- or even their lives.” It was a time of terrible stagnation, and after years of hearing lies, the Russian people were so cynical and hopeless, so poor and without incentives, that they just shrugged off whatever the government told them.
“Something similar has happened to a calcified America under President Joe Biden,” VDH writes. “Like the late-stage Brezhnev, Biden is now a President in name only. He has outsourced his administration to a vestigial hard-left apparat from the Obama years.” If you’re wondering who’s running things now, there’s your answer. They probably always have been, really.
VDH goes on to talk about the “staging” that the White House has done to maintain the fiction. When we do happen to see Biden looking feeble, he says, “our Pravda media go into overdrive to convince the public that what we see and hear is not real.”
And what will they try to put over on us next? “They will convince us that [Biden’s] successor, Vice President Kamala Harris, is an under-appreciated genius whose past portfolios led to solving the border crisis and renewing America’s dominance in space.” One would hope Americans have largely wised up to this sham.

If Kamala is The Anointed One --- and you know the only other possibility for “progressives” is Michelle Obama --- watch how the media turn handsprings to support her, even though nobody wants her as President.
