Former Vice President Mike Pence, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Wednesday morning for a speaking appearance, took the opportunity to defend the FBI, saying, “We can hold the attorney general accountable for the decision that he made without attacking rank-and-file law enforcement personnel at the FBI. Attacks on the FBI must stop. Calls to defund the FBI are just as wrong as calls to defund the police.”

Pence is testing the waters for 2024 and perhaps he needs to be clear in his support for law enforcement. Trump could end up being his political adversary in 2024, and that’s something to keep in mind when listening to anything he says now about Trump and the FBI. Especially if it's said in front of the January 6 kangaroo court.

Mike Pence is my longtime friend, but he might also want to remember that most Republican voters see a great need to reform the FBI, completely rejecting the idea of maintaining the status quo (swamp). We are NOT attacking the rank-and-file agents, most of whom must be mortified about what’s going on at the Bureau and the Department of ‘Justice.’” Certainly the upper levels of the FBI are out of control. Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan reported last week that 14 FBI whistleblowers have come forward. We wish them well. This is about a federal police agency run amok by tactics that reek more of the East German Stasi than the revered FBI. Criticism of what the agency has done in its political overreach and brute tactics against (exclusively) conservatives and Republicans is not lack of respect for the police, it’s the respect of a greater power—the Constitution which gives citizens protection against the very things the politicized and weaponized FBI and DOJ have come to be at their leadership levels.

Tucker Carlson, speaking on Laura Ingraham’s show Wednesday night, said, “It’s deranged. You can’t have a democracy if federal agencies are openly interfering in elections.” Yet, they have, while pointing fingers at Republicans as being a “threat to democracy.”

“If you actually wanted to defend democracy,” he said, “which is a system of self-government, you would push back against government agencies trying to affect election outcomes, which is what they’re doing. This is nuts. And I guess Mike Pence in New Hampshire doesn’t see it.”

Pence should be stressing the need for reform at the 'Justice' Department. I wonder if most of the people slamming Republicans these days have ever even met one. Ingraham showed a tweet from British journalist Edward Luce saying, “I’ve covered extremism and violent ideologies around the world over my career. Have never come across a political force more nihilistic, dangerous & contemptible than today’s Republicans. Nothing close.”

What?? Republicans are far worse than any of the extremist terrorists he’s encountered around the world? Is he out of his mind? Goodness, most Republicans just want to live in freedom, get along with people, have law and order and equal justice, find good jobs and raise our families. And it sure seems that we care vastly more about the Constitution and “our democracy” than those criticizing us do. That’s pretty much it. We want the government to stay out of most areas of our lives, as it’s simply none of their business. When did we become nihilists? I still say the left is projecting its own nihilism and hate onto us.

As Ingrahm showed, Gen. Michael Hayden re-tweeted what Luce had written, saying, “I agree. And I was the CIA Director.”

Recall that Hayden re-tweeted another bit of viciousness just the other day: a photo of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, who were executed in the 1950s after being found guilty of spying for Russia. He added, “That sounds about right,” meaning execution for Trump. This man ran the CIA, under George W. Bush. I don’t know how much he might have changed since then, but he’s Exhibit A for what has gone wrong with our out-of-control intel community. He’s delusional, suffering from “long TDS,” and needs to quarantine himself until he gets over it, if he ever does. He also should lock away his phone, as President Trump isn’t the only one who invites criticism for his mean tweets.

I’d like to issue a challenge to Gen. Hayden and, by extension, to Mr. Luce. Let's say we set up two rooms. Room #1 contains five people selected at random from the studio audience of my TBN weekend show, HUCKABEE. These almost certainly will be the conservative "today's Republicans" you loathe, who will probably want to greet you, tell you about their families, hear some of your stories and share homemade pie. (They might also say "bless your heart" and give you an earful about the CIA, but you need to hear it.) Room #2 contains five of the terrorists who hacked off journalist Daniel Pearl’s head with a dull, rusty blade.

Which room will you enter?

If you choose Room #2, well, at least you had the courage of your convictions. It was nice knowing you, and we hope you didn't suffer too much, though you probably did. If you choose Room #1, then you have to admit you were full of horse manure, apologize to all Republicans (a special apology to President Trump) for your crass stupidity, and refrain from tweeting forever.

To advocate defunding of the FBI, or the police in general is an example of just how delusional some people can be when they respond to something at the moment using hysterical comments without thinking of the consequences for the long term. Our society needs Police— our FBI— the CIA— etc, to keep everyone safe. What we need is people in these organizations who refuse to be pawns of any political party. How do you do that? It’s impossible ? Agents or Officers have to obey orders from their superiors or go work somewhere else. It’s those superiors who have to be above political sides and do the jobs without exception for Party affiliation. Scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours happens in so many ways it’s got to end with our top leadership. Defunding? Try getting honest people as the heads of these organizations to lead with the integrity they say they have! The people who they are in charge of deserve that much from them. And please respect each other. We can help them all. Be kind. And vote out those socialists before we loose America!

Dear Mike: I want to segue way off your comments on the general to something that I see is very important about public service. No one should be allowed to “own” a job. I was very far from the Beltway. My boss was a first line supervisor and he was Deep State. I got to see that it was not so much that he let his politics rule his management of his position but that he was allowed to do that. The people didn’t care what he did as long as he met certain minimum metrics. They didn’t check further and when problems developed they took a closer look. But until that point they didn’t care and he did what he pleased. Because he had been in the job so long he thought he owned. One trivial thing that needs to be done is get rid of the CRS pension plan. Have a five year up or out for any manager over 30 years. Enforce retirement at 35 years for all supervisors. Make denial of bonuses for cause much easier for PAS and SES employees. Get operational units out of DC to the extent possible. There should be no operating DC investigative units for the FBI. With the way work is computerized, I see very little need to have any operational units in DC.

reirement at no greater than There are a lot more things we can do. We don’t need old fashioned efficiency experts. We need new accountability experts. In a lot of cases, we need ombudsman.

There is something that a president and is cabinet can be guilty of and Biden and his minions certainly are. Just with the invasion at the border ALONE. He's BREAKING OUR LAWS.
He's committing crimes against our country and citizens on a scale unheard of in history.
I'm talking about the MILLIONS of illegals invading our country! Even if you don't want to consider it an invasion, he is STILL guilty of the above!! Now. What are we going to do about it and WHEN?

This General was head of CIA under Busch?
That alone is a terrifying thought, he is delusional!
What happens to their brains that they are incapable of rational thoughts.

Pence is a traitor to the republic, among other more despicable things. Pence got an envelope at Bush Sr's services. He accepted that which he knew to be fraudulent. There are other, much more heinous accusations. I am sure you have seen them, as well. Are you a "Freemason", too?

President Trump did more for this country than anyone has ever done. He is being crucified for it. Blamed for something he did not do and so he spoke out against the left but if he had just done the work to get things done and not treated or said anything against the left he would have had a chance to be President again. It is so unfair what is happening to him for what he has done for the United States of America supposed to be a republic but is fast becoming a communist democracy due to the fact that the communist party of China whom we are beholden to is running our government. We owe them so much money since Biden got in he increased the deficit over 10 Trillion dollars since Trump was in. We have a hate/love relationship with China. It is costing us more to import things which was supposed to help us make more things here in the USA but it is only adding to our inflation I fear and things keep going up. I have written the President of USA about it but you know he never gets the message, if he does he has turned a blind eye to it. I am sure he is a puppet. The first thing Biden did was to start paying all those climate related organizations a lot of money to join back up, which President Trump had gotten us out of the membership. Which cost us a lot of money. What I fear is that we are headed back to the 30's dust bowl and also a terrible depression such as we have never seen before because history repeats itself and if it had not been for Roosevelt, many people would have died. I believe we are doing everything to halt this by having food banks in every city in the US and also we have fertilizer in this country, we do not need other countries. Idaho has large pools of water with wood ash brought up from the rocks beneath which gives us everything we need for soap, lye, fertilizer, We are doing so much to help ourselves. Which is so good. Thank the good Lord above.

I would not vote for Pence for dog catcher. When he turned his back on our President in 2020, he was seen as a traitor to the President and to the people who voted for Trump. Then he backed the raid on Trump. He is not trustworthy as far as I'm concerned. No doubt there are a lot of great, honest, trustworthy FBI agents in the organization, but the ones at the top have been proven to be dirty and unfortunately it is going to hurt the rest because we can't be sure which one to trust now.

I think General Hayden will choose door #2 with the 5 terrorists. He may be a bit too indoctrinated by the woke Army and he won't want to shake hands with what he deems to be "his enemy," even though they're as harmless as doves and probably cut their lawns every Saturday right next door to the man. Making blanket judgments about a group of people you really don't know is not the make of a man. That means I probably would not respect him, regardless of rank. Sorry - I don't judge Democrats that way, temptins as it is to do.

    THank you.

Your comments are right on. It’s not republicans at fault. No one person can solve America’s problem. Only God!

Just as German citizens "drafted" during WWII were held accountable, so should anyone in the government who are "just following orders". We know those orders are filtered down from Satan.
