More coming on Secret Service and near-assassination of President Trump
On Monday, former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino spent the day with several members of Congress investigating the Butler, Pennsylvania, shooting of President Trump, the murder of Corey Comperatore and the wounding of two others. We’ll have a full report Wednesday on what they’ve learned, but in the meantime, here’s one of the congressmen, Florida Rep. Cory Mills from Monday night’s Jesse Watters show. He implicates DEI in the incompetence and says this is “either criminal gross negligence or purposeful intent, and that’s what we’ve set out to actually find.”

This group is separate from the official task force, but they were on the job as well, in Butler on Monday to survey the site.
Predictably, the investigation is getting scant media attention. This newsletter is one of “the usual suspects,” the few who are working to give it the attention it deserves. We’ll have a full update on Wednesday. In the meantime, the NEW YORK POST has been trying to find out about the shooter and his family, but the people who live near them in Butler apparently just didn’t know them. Reporters did learn, though, that as the FBI continues its investigation, such as it is, the shooter’s father has retained high-powered attorneys, the top Pittsburgh law firm of Quinn Logue, described by Jesse Watters as “super-lawyers.” It’s not known where the money is coming from for this.
After six weeks, there doesn’t seem to be much going on, investigation-wise. “It’s been weeks since police were here,” one resident said. “There’s nothing happening, no police activity.” And Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson is accusing the FBI of stonewalling. (Surprise.) Much more tomorrow.

According to the New York Post, Kamala Harris may be stepping into Joe Biden’s shoes in more ways than one.
Election monitoring in Detroit
Remember when the Washington Post adopted the pretentious motto, “Democracy dies in darkness”? Apparently, Democrats disagree and think that ballots should be counted in darkness.
How else to account for the Democrats who run Detroit’s Election Commission hiring over seven times more Democrat poll watchers than Republican poll watchers (2300 Democrats, 300 Republicans), in blatant defiance of state law requiring roughly equal numbers?
Fortunately, the RNC has learned its lesson from 2020 and already slapped them with a lawsuit. A spokesman called this “the kind of bad-faith Democrat interference that drives down faith in elections.”
I would also urge all Republican poll watchers to be on the lookout for phony excuses to make them leave the polling places (whether it’s a “flood” caused by a dripping faucet or just ordering everyone out for no reason), and that they be prepared to stand their ground, refuse to leave and pull out their cell phones to get it all on video as evidence for future lawsuits. Chicanery like this is how democracy really dies.
Even the Media can't swallow her lies
Kamala Harris’ wholesale lies and evasions are becoming so obvious that even some liberal reporters are getting fed up with them.
Like Nancy Rommelmann in the Atlantic magazine, who could no longer stomach the Dems’ “COVID amnesia,” with their outrageous claims that Harris helped reopen the nation after the pandemic. It was actually blue states keeping businesses and schools closed indefinitely while Trump and GOP Governors were attacked for wanting the lockdowns to end. Rommelman writes, “Democrats might count on Americans to be forgiving, but they are not stupid, and they would do well to not let the pageantry of televised politics obfuscate the fact that they are being lied to.”
ABC reporter Jonathan Karl’s jaw also hit the floor when he saw a Kamala Harris ad on what a great job she’s done on the border (even though she was NOT the border czar!) The ad showed Trump’s border wall at least three times. Karl asked incredulously, “Is it now the position of the Democrats that they favored the border wall?”

It’s not so much that they fought it tooth and nail. It’s just that they were against it before they were for it.
Hilarious claim
Kamala Harris’ campaign is making the hilarious claim that Trump is afraid to debate her, even though she’s the one who refused a Fox News debate while Trump agreed to a debate on ABC. Now, her campaign is trying to wiggle out of even the ABC debate by demanding rule changes both sides already agreed to, including things that the Democrats previously demanded of Trump, like muting the microphones when the other candidate is speaking.
I think I understand why she’s so afraid. Her only hope of winning is if Trump talks over her so nobody can hear what she’s saying. She’d come across best if she demanded that ABC mute her microphone during the entire debate.
Checking in on ranked-choice voting
Democrats are trying to impose ranked-choice voting wherever they can because it helps split the votes of Republicans and get Democrats elected in red districts. It worked in Alaska in 2022 when liberal Mary Peltola won when two Republicans split the majority GOP vote. It looked as if she was on her way to reelection through the same shady means, but a big salute to Lt. Gov. Nancy Dahlstrom. In the best interests of her state, she announced that she’s dropping out of the three-way race, leaving Peltola to face only one Republican, Nick Begich III, which makes it far more likely that the red district will once again be able to elect a Representative who will actually represent their values.
It came as a shocking surprise to Democrats and a big setback to their dreams of winning back the House. I feel so bad for them, it’s all I can do to keep from laughing out loud.
