DAILY BIBLE VERSE
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
Psalm 20:4
Message from Fantasyland
That pre-recorded message from Fantasyland in which President Biden announced his bid for reelection so that he can keep on bringing Americans together, fostering polite respect for political differences and protecting our individual freedoms (Note: Democrats just prosecuted someone for making humorous memes) didn’t seem to give him much of a boost.
A new NBC poll found that Biden would lose to a generic Republican by 6 points.
No surprise when a new CBS News/YouGov poll finds that 72% of Americans think that Biden’s America is “out of control.”
https://www.breitbart.com/
Of course, nobody runs against a generic Republican, which is why Democrats are working so hard to smear any Republican who might possibly be the candidate. They should just do a poll seeing how Biden would do running against Adolf Hitler, because by the time 2024 gets here, that will be the image the media has created of any generic Republican.
Related: The New York Times confirms that Biden’s 2024 reelection strategy will be pretty much the same as his 2020 strategy: Hide in his basement, dodge reporters and hope nobody notices how awful he is at this.

Foxx is out
Chicago’s Soros-backed prosecutor Kim Foxx, who has dropped 25,000 felony cases (including murder) while presiding over a violent crime wave and who nearly let Jussie Smollett walk free, announced that she will not run for reelection.
While that’s very good news, look to the recent mayor’s race before you underestimate Chicago’s ability to replace her with someone even worse.
Legal News
Defense attorneys gave their closing statements in the trials of members of the Proud Boys accused of “seditious conspiracy” in the January 6th riot. They pointed out that most of the defendants never communicated with one another, had no stated objective or plan to achieve an objective, and one defendant wasn’t even in DC on that day. Yet they’re accused of somehow conspiring to overthrow the government, apparently by mental telepathy. Also, one of the witnesses testified that he was misled by lies the FBI fed him about one of the defendants. One of the attorneys who summed up the government’s case told the jurors, “Are you kidding me?”
But all kidding aside, this is a DC jury, so don’t be surprised if that’s enough for a guilty verdict.
Good news
Chief Justice John Roberts declined to take part in Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin’s latest attempt at a high-tech lynching of Justice Clarence Thomas.
I love that he attached to his reply a copy of the Court’s Statement of Ethics Principles and Practices, noting, “All of the current Members of the Supreme Court subscribe.”
There are more details at the link, but in a nutshell, Democrats are once again trying to hound Thomas off the Court, this time because he and his wife have gone on vacations with his friend of many years, GOP donor Harlan Crow, who has never had a case before the SCOTUS. Also, Thomas failed to report some real estate transactions on his 2014 financial disclosures because he lost money on them and the ethics guidelines at the time said he didn’t have to report them. Are you appropriately outraged?
Instead of yet another witch hunt against the conservative black Justice, maybe the Senate could spend its time more productively by investigating the financial connections and ethics violations involving various shady billionaires, hostile nations and members of the Biden family. Or is that a situation that doesn’t inflame their situational ethics?
Keep the newsletter going: By Mike Huckabee's book: The Three Cs That Made America Great: Christianity, Capitalism and the Constitution
America faces a war of values that will determine its future and likely decide if it will continue as a great nation on the world stage. Mike Huckabee and Steve Feazel sound a needed alarm to Christians and conservatives to answer the call to action and push back against the forces that desire to move America from its heritage and founding principles. It is time for God's people to take an active role in the political arena, not with violence, but with votes and voices that proclaim and defend the values that made our nation the brightest light of freedom the world has ever known.

Gender Neutral Language
Founders Memorial School, an elementary school in Vermont, is making the entire concept of biology class irrelevant by introducing “gender-neutral language.” The class in reproduction will no longer use terms like “male and female” or “boy and girl.” Instead, "male" and "boy" would be replaced with "a person who produces sperm," while "female" and "girl" would be replaced with "a person who produces eggs." And to quote Dave Barry, I am not making this up.
Not only is this ludicrous and dehumanizing, but I wonder if anyone’s pointed out to them that by doing this, they’re admitting the entire “trans” movement is a sham. A “trans woman” does not produce eggs, and a “trans man” does not produce sperm, so by their own definition, a “trans woman” is NOT a real woman, and a “trans man” is not a real man.
Sic ‘em, angry trans activists!
Less than Bright
I’ve written quite a bit about the big push by the left to force everyone into electric vehicles, warning about how their ranges and charging times make them impractical for most Americans, the safety issues they present, that the power grid can't handle them all, the many problems related to obtaining the resources needed for the batteries, and the issue of how to safely dispose of all those batteries. Well, here’s another problem that nobody seems to have thought about until now: their weight.
https://justthenews.com/
Addison Smith at JustTheNews.com reports that too many EVs could start collapsing parking garages. We just had a garage collapse in New York City, killing one person. That was related to age and unresolved structural problems. But many garages were built decades ago and are starting to show cracks and stresses, and they are not ready to handle a switch to electric cars that weigh considerably more than gas-powered cars due to their heavy batteries.
How much more weight are we talking about? He cites a few examples:
A Rivian EV pickup is 1,000 pounds heavier than the heaviest Ford F-150. A Vauxhall Viva built in the ‘60s when many garages were built weighs just under 1,700 pounds, while a comparably-sized Audi E-tron weighs nearly 5,200 pounds. A new Hummer EV weighs 9,000 pounds with a third of that being the battery.
And if you think that’s going to put a strain on parking garages, imagine what it’s going to do to highways, bridges and overpasses.
Like so many bright ideas from the left, if you look closely, this one collapses under its own weight.
Hollywood censorship
Despite movie fans making it clear that they won’t buy tickets to woke films, Hollywood keeps insisting on ruining classics with remakes full of leftist identity politics. Robert Spencer at PJ Media reports that Warner Brothers is celebrating its 100th anniversary with plans to churn out wokified remakes of some of its classic films with “diverse” casting. As the Bounding Into Comics website observed, “There’s nothing like celebrating your own history by attempting to appease those who unapologetically hate everything about it.”
Thankfully, Spencer notes that “Casablanca” is not on the remake list, or else they’d have it end with Rick getting on the plane and leaving with Ilsa’s husband. Here’s my question: Since “Blazing Saddles” was a Warner Brothers production, will there be a diverse remake with a white sheriff?
At least someone in Hollywood is finally starting to wake up and smell the bankruptcies. In an interview with Time, Steven Spielberg said he now regrets his “mistake” of editing guns out of the hands of federal agents in a rerelease of “E.T.” He said older films are products of their era, “it’s our history, it’s our cultural heritage,” and anyone who changes them to comply with modern sensibilities is engaging in censorship.
I’m very happy to hear such a respected Hollywood figure stand up against censorship and altering of classic films. I just worry that the people he’s trying to convince won’t listen because they’re pro-censorship.
MSNB-See The Stupidity!
Leftist social media accounts went ballistic Tuesday after MSNBC anchor Ari Melber “broke” the story that “shocking” audio of a phone call between Sen. Ted Cruz and Maria Bartiromo on January 2, 2021, showed that Cruz “plotted to steal the election before January 6th.” As one hyperbolic follower put it, it was Cruz “admitting how he intended to throw out the votes in the 2020 election and install Donald Trump as dictator.”
They were left deflated when Cruz pointed out that what he said was the exact same thing he said on national TV the next day, and on the floor of the Senate four days later. And he wasn’t calling for throwing out the votes and installing Trump as “dictator.” He was calling for a delay in certification until allegations of vote fraud could be quickly investigated to reassure Americans who doubted the results in large numbers that the election was honest, all of which was within the power and duty of Congress to do (and it had been done before in 1877.)
In fact, that link includes the entire joint statement by Cruz and 10 other Senators. If all Americans read it, I’ll bet you could get a majority vote of people who’d like to see that investigation done even now, to finally settle suspicions about Biden’s election. I bet the only people who’d oppose it are people who watch MSNBC, where watching for a few hours actually leaves you knowing less than you did when you started.
More insurrection from the Left
The media are doing their best to ignore it, but yet another “trans” activist “insurrection” has been going on for days, this time in the Montana House of Representatives. The House had to cancel its session Tuesday after loud “trans” activists shut down business in protest of a bill to bar “transgender” “medical interventions” on minors (I have to use a lot of quotation marks with these stories, but the reports refuse to use accurate terms, like butchery or quackery.) They were also protesting the censure of “trans-identifying” Democrat Rep. Zooey Zephyr, who violated House rules with some disgusting comments mocking prayer. I’d add, by also siding with insurrectionists. More details at the link.
https://thefederalist.com/
And no, I’m not going to stop calling these insurrectionists “insurrectionists.” The left started this game, now they get to play by the rules they created.
Tucker Update
While the fallout over Tucker Carlson’s departure from Fox News rages on, it was revealed that he had previously received job offers from other media outlets, including the Heritage Foundation, and since Monday has already gotten offers from OANN and Glenn Beck’s Blaze TV.
Or he could go the very lucrative independent route, with Elon Musk suggesting he do an uncensored show and distribute it on Twitter.
I have no idea what he plans to do next, but I just enjoy reporting this because I want to point out that when Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for censoring her political opponents and crowed that “Deplatforming works,” that was just one more of the many, many things she’s utterly wrong about.
Another company partners with Dylan Mulvaney
Yet another company that partnered with flamboyant “trans” media influencer Dylan Mulvaney is getting hit with boycott backlash (or am I expected to call it “girl-cott” backlash?) It’s the makeup giant Maybelline. Some are even calling for boycotting all the products of their parent company, L’oreal. Others pointed out the irony that Maybelline’s slogan is, “Maybe she’s born with it,” which Mulvaney definitely wasn’t.
https://www.westernjournal.
While Bud Light’s customers are mostly male, Maybelline’s are female, and they’re offended by the Mulvaney deal for totally different reasons. They say it’s insulting to women, that Mulvaney is not a woman but a male who “portrays women as ditzy bimbos,” and that it’s not an unfair representation of real women who work, run homes and take care of children.
Social media figure Allie Beth Stuckey tweeted that we now have grown men telling actual women “what it’s like to be a girl, as if they could have any earthly idea.” And Madeleine Kearns said in National Review, “Perhaps the greatest silver lining of the transgender movement has been how it exposes the follies of disregarding sex and sexual difference. ‘Womanface’ is the new blackface. It’s time to get outraged.”
On a related note, I saw an interesting interview with a priest who noted how many of today’s major news stories seem to come right out of Genesis, with humans claiming the right and ability to create life (cloning, AI), to end life (abortion), and to assign genders, all powers that are specifically reserved to God alone. Even if you don’t believe in the Bible, just reading Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein,” which is actually an allegory about a doctor who tried to play God, would tell you this is heading down a very dark road.
If you think it’s an overstatement to suggest that today’s left is hostile to Biblical truth, check out this video.
Two Bibles kept in a private lounge for Arizona legislators started disappearing and being found hidden away under couch cushions or in the refrigerator. So security installed a camera. It captured Rep. Stephanie Stahl-Hamilton, a Democrat and ordained Presbyterian minister (!), hiding the Bibles under two sofas. When asked by a reporter why she did it, she just walked away.
Maybe it’s because that book contradicts virtually the entire Democratic Party Platform of 2023.
Must-Read Column
The savagely hilarious Kurt Schlichter explains why Republicans would be suckers to keep playing by rules that Democrats have shredded for themselves.
Blinken and Morell and repeated deep-state election interference
Last week, it was revealed that current Secretary of State Antony Blinken was ultimately behind that “classic earmarks” letter in October 2020 smearing the Hunter Biden laptop story as Russian disinformation. Blinken called Mike Morell, former acting director of the CIA, and Morell quickly got the ball rolling. (Morell says Blinken didn’t “directly ask” for a letter.) In a mere two days, Blinken had the letter, signed by 51 former intel officials who hadn’t even seen the hard drive.
So, how did Blinken think to call Morell? As explained by John Solomon in a new piece for JUST THE NEWS, this wasn’t the first time Morell helped create a fake narrative to boost the Democrat presidential nominee. In 2016, he wrote an op-ed on behalf of Hillary Clinton in THE NEW YORK TIMES in which he used his CIA background to lend credibility to his accusation that Trump was “an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation.” He was one of the first members of the intel community to use that lie.
The tie to Russia was totally concocted, and Democrats ate it up with a spoon.
The Clinton campaign was ready with its coordinated response, saying that Trump was “unfit” to be President. And, look! They had a letter, too, kind of like the “classic earmarks” letter of 2020, and signed by 50 self-described national security and foreign policy experts. (They keep going back to the same pages of the same playbook over and over.) “Not fit”...”dangerous”...lacking in “the character, values, and experience to be President,” the letter said. “He weakens U.S. moral authority as the leader of the free world. He appears to lack basic knowledge and belief in the U.S. Constitution, U.S. laws, and U.S. institutions, including religious tolerance, freedom of the press, and an independent judiciary.”
I know --- it sounds as though they’re describing the current administration, not President Trump’s. But that’s what they came out with when Hillary was running against Trump. And the letter goes on from there; take a look.
http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/
When the “classic earmarks” letter came out in October 2020, right before the election, former FBI intel chief Kevin Brock wrote a column for THE HILL alleging that spies actually were trying to influence the election. But he wasn’t talking about Russian spies --- he meant American spies, the spooks who had signed that phony letter. “Why was a letter written at this time?” he asked. “To help Joe Biden politically, and nothing more.”
And now Solomon writes, “To some intelligence experts, Morell’s actions stand as a poster child of the danger that Brock warned about nearly three years ago: a national security apparatus suddenly intervening in elections.”
Former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes told Solomon, “I think you have to assume that this has permeated across basically the entire bureaucracy in Washington, DC, especially in the intelligence agencies.”
Solomon spoke with Brock again to get his perspective on what we’ve learned about the origins of the “classic earmarks” letter. “When a disingenuous statement can have a material effect on not just policy, but on a national election, then it becomes a kind of fraud on the American people,” Brock said.
The 2020 vote is the third such election in which Morell, a 33-year veteran of the CIA, has stirred controversies with actions that utilized his ties to the intelligence community. The first was in September of 2012, when Obama was running for re-election against Mitt Romney. Morell edited intelligence talking points to delete reference to al-Qaeda’s role in the Benghazi attack before Susan Rice appeared on the Sunday news shows to lie.
Morell later denied that he had done this for the political benefit of President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton.
But if you look at all his actions in context, they seem highly political. In 2016, about a week before Morell first speaks of Trump being recruited as an “unwitting” agent of Russia, then-CIA Director John Brennan gives a heads-up to President Obama about Russian intelligence showing that Hillary was planning to distract from her email scandal with a story about Trump and Russian hackers interfering with U.S. elections. Just four days before that heads-up, Clinton campaign adviser Jake Sullivan --- who today is in the Biden White House as national security adviser --- puts out a statement saying the Russians have hacked the Democrat National Committee to help Trump.
Incidentally, today there is STILL no evidence that the Russians hacked the DNC. It was just “conjecture” by the company CrowdStrike. The theory remains that the material released was from an internal leak, not a hack.
Again, Morell has testified that Blinken didn’t directly ask him to write the “classic earmarks” letter but that his contact sparked that effort. The Biden campaign did later thank Morell for his trouble, as Biden was able to use that letter to shut Trump down when he tried to bring it up during the final presidential debate. Imagine their gratitude.
Solomon appeared on Tuesday’s HANNITY show to discuss Morell’s role in both letters. Regarding the 2020 “classic earmarks” letter, the FBI had received the laptop in December 2019 and authenticated it as Hunter’s, he said, by the spring of 2020. So we know the FBI was lying when they warned Big Tech of the coming “Russian disinformation campaign” involving Hunter Biden.
And Morell was, in Solomon’s words, “right in the middle” of the Obama, Hillary and Biden campaigns, furthering helpful lies each time.
Moving on to Antony Blinken, Republican Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin are now calling on him to resign as Secretary of State for misleading the public on the Hunter laptop case.
https://www.
In a major update to the Blinken story, we now know that Blinken has had a long, chummy association with Hunter Biden --- who knew? --- going back over a decade, including Hunter’s time on the Burisma board and his pursuit of various other lucrative influence-peddling activities. This opinion piece in the WASHINGTON EXAMINER details all the ethical problems with this that the media pretended not to notice.
And Bonchie at REDSTATE shows the relationship is clear as can be.
As Stephen Miller said on Hannity’s show, “It’s just one bombshell revelation after another” with these phony-baloney stories and cozy deep-state entanglements. Here’s just one example: Then-Deputy Secretary of State Blinken held a meeting with Hunter at the State Department (!!) in July 2015. This was while Hunter was on the Burisma board and his father was Vice President. Blinken, his wife, and Hunter emailed frequently during those years, with Blinken using his private email as opposed to official State Department email. (Remind you of anyone?) Hunter was forwarding their exchanges to his business partners. No wonder Blinken would have wanted to discredit that laptop!
Miller called for criminal indictment for conspiracy to interfere and obstruct the American election. “If we can put someone in jail for a meme,” he says, “we can certainly pursue criminal charges in this case.”

Finally, in a must-read column, legal analyst Margot Cleveland offers six reasons why the IRS whistleblower who’s come forward about the special treatment given to Hunter should terrify all involved --- at every level.
