Government Colluded With Big Tech On Election Censorship
By Mike Huckabee
While we wait for the results of the Maricopa County election audit, there’s more being revealed about how the 2020 presidential election was conducted that should concern us all.
This story relates to the hair-splitting some do when it comes to categorizing social media censorship as actual CENSORSHIP; that is, the denial of constitutionally-protected free speech rights. Virtually everyone would agree that if the government does this, it’s censorship. But if a private company such as YouTube or Facebook does it, the argument goes, it isn't. That's their business, we’re told, so it's their call. That’s what their lawyers maintain, anyway.
But what if private business and government are working together to censor communication? And what if the communication relates to an election?
Judicial Watch announced Tuesday that they have documentation that during the 2020 election, California government officials colluded with Big Tech to censor social media posts in the United States. State officials apparently pushed social media companies Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube to censor posts as “misinformation.” And since they all were members of the same political party –- guess which one? –- this was done.
A big motivation for Judicial Watch to look into this was that they themselves were targeted in this way on social media. They’ve documented that YouTube (owned by Google) was contacted directly by a state official on September 24, 2020, and told to remove a Judicial Watch video. According to Judicial Watch, the video, which concerned voting by mail, was removed three days later. They filed their request for documents under the California Public Records Act after seeing a December 2020 report that revealed the California Office of Election Cybersecurity had surveilled and asked the social media giants to remove or flag as “misleading” at least two dozen messages.
Once again, the infinitely patient Judicial Watch finally got a response to their request for records, and this time if was in the form of 540 pages and a supplemental 4 pages of documents from the California secretary of state.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, now has evidence that SKDKnickerbocker –- a Washington-based communications company that developed the Biden presidential campaign’s vote-by-mail program in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona and Wisconsin (there are those states again) –- was involved in the censoring of speech during last year’s election period. As reported in THE EPOCH TIMES in a premium story, “the company did this by sharing its “Misinformation Daily Briefings” with California officials, who then passed them on to media giants Facebook, Twitter and Google for dissemination, according to Judicial Watch.”
The process worked like this:
BIDEN CAMPAIGN =====> SKDKnickerbocker =====> California Office of Election Cybersecurity =====> FB, Twitter, Google, etc. =====> CENSORSHIP
Fitton said, “These new documents suggest a conspiracy against the First Amendment rights of Americans by the California Secretary of State, the Biden campaign operation, and Big Tech.”
He added, “These documents blow up the big lie that Big Tech censorship is ‘private’ --- as the documents show collusion between a whole group of government officials in multiple states to suppress speech about election controversies.”
A spokesperson for the California Office of Election Cybersecurity described the public-private collaboration this way: “The Office of Election Cybersescurity in the California Secretary of State’s office monitored and tracked social media posts, decided if they were misinformation, stored the posts in an internal database coded by threat level [!], and on 31 different occasions requested posts be removed. In 24 cases, the social media companies agareed and either took posts down or flagged them as misinformation.”
At the time that pesky December report came out, this spokesperson said, “We don’t take down posts; that is not our role to play.”
Well, no, they PERSONALLY don’t take them down. They simply suggest to the big social media companies, who agree with them politically, that THEY take them down, and then social media does the deed. This spokesperson skillfully used language to put a more refined spin on this: “We alert potential sources of misinformation to the social media companies and we let them make that call based on community standards they created.”
But we know how “misinformation” is defined in today’s political climate. It means “conservative speech.” It has almost nothing to do with objective truth.
Here’s an example: a Facebook user who implied having voted more than once with multiple ballots had that post taken down on October 31, 2020. And if anyone posted anything about voter fraud, receiving multiple ballots in the mail, or seeing thousands of unopened ballots in a dumpster, and that was routinely taken down. Heck, they’re STILL removing posts that allege voter fraud took place, even posts that offer statistical evidence and comments from cyber experts that support the claim. That type of post is not “misinformation” –-- it is opinion that has not been debunked, no matter what Jimmy Kimmel says.
According to Judicial Watch, SKDKnickerbocker lists Biden for President as its top client for 2020. Here’s more about SKDKnickerbocker’s connection to Biden from a press release dated November 12 of last year, right after the election.
“Biden campaign’s Anita Dunn heads back to SKDKnickerbocker,” the headline reads. “Dunn had been working with the President-elect’s team before the Democratic primaries began,”
Before the primaries, Dunn was working at SKDK and part-timing for Biden. But she later took full leave to be a part of Biden’s campaign. She was in charge of “message coordination, in particular with SKDK.” At the time this press release was written, the transition period was starting and Dunn was easing herself back into the agency.
“Dunn has a long history of working on Democratic campaigns,” it says, going on to cite her senior staff role during President Obama’s 2008 campaign. Read this release; it’s an eye-opener when you consider that this person was likely spearheading the work the campaign was doing with state government offices, which in turn collaborated with social media.
Something about this smells really bad.

FBI refuses Hunter Biden's hard drives during Giuliani raid
By Mike Huckabee
One of the benefits of being a subscriber to the Huckabee newsletter is that from time to time we offer you practical advice you can really use. And today is your lucky day –- this is one of those times.
So, here’s what we recommend: If some morning at 6AM, a group of FBI agents knock on your door with a warrant to search your home and confiscate any electronic devices on the premises, just let them in and invite them to make themselves at home while they raid it. Offer them a refreshing beverage to enjoy as they look through all your personal things. When they encounter a phone, laptop, hard drive or any electronic device and ask you if it belongs to you, tell them, “No, it belongs to Hunter Biden.”
They will immediately turn away from it and ignore it, leaving it exactly as they found it. Then, when they encounter the next electronic device and ask you whose it is, tell them, “Oh, that one belongs to Hunter Biden as well.” They will ignore it and keep looking. Guaranteed.
You might even offer it to them, and assure them that it has evidence of President Biden committing various crimes with his son, Hunter.
Trust us, they’ll react as if the device were radioactive. Not only will they not take it, they won’t even bother to take a peek at what’s on it.
At this point, you might just save everybody’s time by saying to the agents, “Come to think of it, every piece of electronic equipment in the area covered by your warrant happens to belong to Hunter Biden.” The agents will immediately head for the door. “Sorry we bothered you,” the lead agent will say. “Thanks for the delicious beverage,” the last one will say as he politely closes your front door on the way out.
Don’t believe me? Rudy Giuliani would.
Little did he know that when FBI agents raided his residence on Wednesday and were told that three hard drives found there belonged to Hunter Biden --- and they did --- the FBI would have no interest in them whatsoever. What they were after were all of Giuliani’s devices, which, according to his attorney, are “replete” with communications protected by attorney-client privilege.
NEWSMAX cites a source close to Giuliani who says, “For two years, Rudy was [Trump’s] personal attorney, knew his whole legal defense in these probes, and also was the point man on all the election stuff. They used this warrant to get information on Trump. This is about the weaponization of the Justice Department for political purposes.”
We have speculated that the “election stuff” is at least part of what they want to see. Victoria Toensing, who had her phone confiscated by the FBI on Wednesday as well, has some ties to Ukraine but also has been working on Giuliani’s team to uncover election fraud.
The probe into Giuliani is widely reported to be focusing on his activities in Ukraine, involving allegations that he failed to register as a foreign agent with the Foreign Agents Registration Act, or FARA, when he advocated for the dismissal of the U.S. ambassador in Kiev. But he maintains that he was acting not on behalf of foreign nationals but in the interest of his client, President Trump.
As Tucker Carlson pointed out on Thursday night, Giuliani is at least the third attorney to have his personal communications with President Trump seized by the “Justice” Department. The former NYC mayor was a guest on his show. It’s a must-see interview.
What I want to see now are the circumstances surrounding this warrant: who applied for it, who approved it and with what justification. This is very serious; we’ve got a DOJ that obviously is on a search-and-destroy mission, one that operates under two completely different standards of “justice.”
In the meantime, if FBI agents show up at your door with a warrant to take your electronic devices, you know what to tell them.

Just In Time

The CDC says it’s safe for vaccinated Americans to gather outdoors in most situations without masks. And just in time: both warm weather and MAGA rallies are about to make a comeback.
“Merit-Based?” Pay At Gannet!
By Mike Huckabee
A study of 14 Gannett-owned newspapers by six of those papers’ own reporters claims that white males are overwhelmingly better compensated in pay and job security than women or minorities, and there’s a lack of diversity in staffing. This was interesting, considering Gannett papers are constantly printing “woke” editorials about other people’s alleged racism or sexism.
The numbers are pretty eye-opening, like women who’ve worked there at least 30 years earning 63% of the annual median salary of male peers, journalists of color earning 90% of the white male journalists’ median salary, and women of color earning 73% of that.
But Gannett’s “Chief People Officer” Samantha Howland disputed the report, calling it misleading and incomplete. She said, “Gannett is committed to a pay structure that is merit-based, meaning that the company will continue to recognize employees for their unique contributions, abilities and skill, as well as other business-related factors.”
“Merit-based?” But meritocracies are racist and sexist! Doesn’t she know that you’re not allowed to look at irrelevancies like education, experience, abilities, tenure or productivity? What matters is “equity,” or mandating equal outcomes, not equal opportunity!...
Sorry about that. Guess I’ve been reading too many Gannett editorials.
Biden Puts The Fox In Charge Of The Hen House
By Mike Huckabee
If you think it would be a good idea to put a fox in charge of guarding your hen house, then you’re going to be thrilled to hear who the Biden White House has put in charge of advising the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA).
Yes, that is the same Mary McCord who reviewed and approved the FISA warrant applications to spy on Trump campaign aide Carter Page, applications later found to contain 17 significant errors and omissions due to FBI agents relying on false claims that Page was working covertly with Russia.
I did warn during the election campaign that if Biden got in, not only would people who helped weaponize the Deep State against Americans skate, they would also be put right back into power. So this is another of those stories that manages to be shocking without being the least bit surprising. I really don't want to hear any more lectures about "accountability" from this crowd.
Final Salute To An American Hero
By Mike Huckabee
The family of Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins announced that he died Wednesday of cancer at 90. Their statement read, “Mike always faced the challenges of life with grace and humility, and faced this, his final challenge, in the same way.”
Collins, along with Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, made up the historic crew that accomplished the first moon landing in 1969. But Collins never got to leave his footprints in the lunar dust because he had to remain alone in the command module Columbia for 28 hours while Armstrong and Collins completed their mission. Then, it was up to him to re-dock with the lunar module. Had anything gone wrong, Collins would have had to return alone.
Although he was often asked if he regretted never getting to walk on the moon, Collins would humbly state that he was satisfied with the part he played, and that as a command module pilot, he knew he was never considered for any other role.

Maybe This Is Why They Ended Their Database?
By Mike Huckabee
Wonder if this is why the Washington Post ended its Presidential “fact-checking” database one day before President Biden’s big speech? Among many dubious statements and outright whoppers, Biden claimed he inherited the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
In fact, he inherited the best economy in decades, thanks to Trump, but it had been forcibly suppressed by “two-week” shutdowns that stretched into months. Even so, by the time he took office, it was already starting to rebound. He’s now trying to take credit both for the vaccines and their distribution and for the rebounding economy, but in both cases, I have to quote his former boss: “You didn’t build that.”
Also, no, Biden has not “traveled 17,000 miles” with the President of China, although I’m sure he’s spent more time with him than I like to think about.
"Crisis"
By Mike Huckabee
I’m happy to report that at least one Democrat, Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, actually used the word “crisis” to describe the situation at the border, and she worked with Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn on a bill to do something about it.
I tend to overlook her comments to other Democrats about this being a problem that’s gone on for decades, and that the Biden Administration has been “grappling with” it, because she wants to get Democrat support. I don’t think telling the truth (Biden created an instant emergency by coming into office and immediately smashing a stable system like a toddler knocking over a stack of blocks) would be helpful to that cause.
Oscar Ratings Were Down
By Mike Huckabee
As expected, the ratings for this year’s Oscars were about as low as a community access TV show on feminist pottery. While it was a precipitous dive (58.3% lower than last year), there’s been a steady decline in viewership among all awards shows for years.
But Hollywood celebrities and liberals in general reject the notion that viewers are fed up with hearing “woke” political lectures from self-righteous, rich celebrities. They blame lower interest in the whole awards show concept, nominees that aren’t popular hits, competition from the Internet and streaming services, and anything other than “People don’t want to be hectored about socialism from stars in $20,000 gowns” or hear condemnations of guns, cops and security walls from people protected by armed cops and security walls. Ricky Gervais tried to tell them this at the Golden Globes, but the message still didn’t penetrate their hair mousse.
So maybe this will:
EXCLUSIVE: Daily Wire Poll: Most Americans Oppose Oscars’ Diversity Requirements | The Daily Wire
The Daily Wire sponsored a poll to ask Americans if they planned to watch the Oscars, and if not, why not. Seventy-one percent of Republicans and 49% of Democrats said no, and the chief reason was clear: the leftwing politics.
While Democrats said they wouldn’t watch because of lack of interest in awards shows, it’s too boring or no movies they liked were nominated, 63% of Republicans said they were skipping it because it’s too political. Overall, 71% of respondents, including majorities among Democrats and non-whites, agreed with the statement, “Award winners should avoid making political speeches and comments while accepting their award.”
Daily Wire’s editor emeritus Ben Shapiro said, “It’s clear from the polling and the Oscars’ abysmal ratings that Americans are tired of Hollywood shoving their woke politics down their throats.”
So now, the people have spoken, with polling to back it up: Hollywood's leftist preaching is killing awards shows. Does this mean they’ll stop? Certainly not! At least, I assume not, but I can’t say for sure since I don’t watch anymore.
A Reader Writes Back...
I also was offended when Biden remarked that "We the people" are the government. The people ELECT the government, the government represents "We the people"...it is NOT the people. Thank you, Gov. Huckabee, for your continued service.
