Indictments galvanize support for Trump
That Trump mugshot that the Democrats dreamed of getting for years has already turned into their worst nightmare. It’s not only galvanized support for him among Republicans, it’s also made Independents and even some Democrats realize just how far the Dems have overreached in trying to criminalize their political opposition. It’s also already proving to be a fundraising bonanza for Trump and the greatest meme of the year.
https://www.westernjournal.com/trump-already-using-mugshot-democrats/
They must’ve forgotten that Trump is a media professional and knows how to convey his feelings through the camera. He put on an expression of righteous fury and resolve that reminds everyone who sees it of just how much the people responsible for this and all the other damage to America’s institutions deserve to be fired, and that Trump is the man to do it.
Joel B. Pollack at Breitbart.com writes that the mugshot has brought him to the realization of something I’ve been saying for months:
“I found, to my surprise, once I saw the mugshot, that I felt excited, almost elated. Trump’s glowering face did not show pain or shame. It did not even show anger. It was a look of righteous indignation, the glare of a man who may be a prisoner now, but is actually in control. It was the expression he wore a thousand times on episodes of ‘The Apprentice.’ It was how he looked when he said, ‘You’re Fired.’ They will all be fired, if he wins. And half the country is prepared to do whatever it takes to give him the chance.”
Spot on, and thanks to the Dems for doing this to themselves. Contrary to their false narrative of Trump supporters being mindless cultists, I would support any Republican nominee, and I certainly don’t agree with everything Trump says and does (I often wince and wish he hadn’t hit “send” on some of his social media posts.) But I think only he has the strength, will, independence and now, motivation, to clean up the pile of rubble the Democrats have created and kick out the Deep Staters responsible.
If nothing else, compare these two photos and tell me which of these men you want representing the United States in dealing with the leaders of China, Russia, Iran, North Korea or any other hostile state.

Another potential labor strike on the horizon
Things have been going America’s way lately on the labor front, with a UPS drivers’ strike averted and the Hollywood writers and actors strikes going on indefinitely. But there’s another potential strike on the horizon: The United Auto Workers Union voted “overwhelmingly” to go on strike against major US automakers Ford, GM and Stellantis (formerly Chrysler) if they don’t get a “fair deal” in contract negotiations.
That link goes into the interesting story-behind-the-story about this strike threat: that the UAW made it clear that they expect Democrats like Joe Biden whom the union helped to elect (often against the interests of its own members) to follow their “obligation” to big labor and take their side. But there’s also tension, with the UAW withholding its endorsement of Biden’s reelection because of his push to force automakers to build only electric cars, which you can see gathering dust at dealerships all over America, and kill the gas-powered SUVs people actually want to buy.
Author Becca Lower suggests that conservatives start “popping buckets of tasty popcorn” and get ready to watch the coming fireworks between the big union and the Democratic Party it assumed it owned but which is showing more deference to green radicals. I’d also like to remind autoworkers that it’s the Republicans who think Americans should have the freedom to buy any car they darn well want to.
A warning
Matt Vespa at Townhall.com has a must-read column for GOP party officials, warning them that what happened under Obama that sank the Democrats for years – the erosion of state and local Democrat Parties – is happening now to the GOP, and they’d better take fast action to prevent it.
CPAC turmoil
There appears to be some major turmoil going on inside CPAC (the Conservative Political Action Committee.) Several officers of CPAC and its parent, the ACU (American Conservative Union) have resigned over accusations of financial and sexual improprieties by CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. The latest is ACU vice chairman Charlie Gerow, who resigned and called for an independent investigation of Schlapp and a forensic audit of CPAC’s finances.
The End?
Government and Big Tech working together to censor conservative views, is a big reason why we changed things up and moved my newsletter to Substack.
Because you are a free subscriber to my newsletter, I would like you to consider subscribing to the paid version on Substack.
A Substack subscription-based newsletter allows my team and I to focus on what matters: the writing and the research we do to back up the writing, instead of worrying about censorship, or what Google is saying about me, how they are handling advertising on our website or whether or not my work shows up when you search for it.
To keep the newsletter going, we have setup a monthly goal of identifying 600 new paying subscribers for the month of August and we have 127 to go.
If you can afford to do so, please subscribe here:
To become a paid subscriber of my politics newsletter it is $5 monthly or $36 annually. I email daily and my politics newsletters usually take 10-15 minutes to read. I cover the news of the day and the liberal media. I write about the upcoming elections and dive deep on the Biden scandals. I will also share my opinion of the Trump indictment. I don’t think you will regret reading my newsletter regularly, so please consider subscribing today.
Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee
Déjà Vu All Over Again:
How many times does Kyle Rittenhouse have to be harassed via the legal system for actions that have already been found by a jury to be self-defense?
It is the Republican Party’s fault!
A columnist for the leftist Daily Beast has figured out what’s behind the Muslim community’s rejection of “transgender” propaganda. Can you guess? Sure, you can! It’s Donald Trump and the Republican Party’s fault! If it weren't for them, Muslims would LOVE the radical LGBTQ agenda.
Sad news
God told Bob Barker to "Come on up..."

Fake News Alert!
No, Donald Trump did not sign over the deed to Mar-A-Lago to his son Don Jr. in some unclear scheme to commit fraud or something. But the thought of being able to “get Trump” on something excited a lot of media outlets so much that they couldn’t be bothered with any pesky fact-checking and just ran with it. Any wonder why people trust used car salesmen more than "journalists"?
“Huckabee” Preview
Join me tonight for a very special news-making edition of “Huckabee” on TBN. I always invite Democrats to come on for a civil discussion, but I get few takers. This week, a major name took me up on it. I’ll be talking with Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and see if we can find some common ground. I’ll also welcome author, TV/radio host and car wax king Barry Maguier and laugh at the news on “In Case You Missed It.” You’ll love the wonderful animal act, the Amazing Veranica and her Incredible Friends. And we’ll top it off with some terrific music from jazz/gospel saxophone master Phil French.
It all starts tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST on TBN. To find out how to watch TBN, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming, visit https://www.huckabee.tv and click on “Channel Finder” on the top menu. You can stream previous episodes, highlights and online-only “Digital Exclusives,” including extended interviews, “In Case You Missed It” and “Facts of the Matter” segments, plus extra performances by our great musical and comedy guests and links to all their sites, at https://www.huckabee.tv. Court Case to Watch Closely:
If the Supreme Court agrees to hear this case and rules in favor of the actual rule of law, it could overturn hundreds of convictions in which politically-motivated prosecutors and activist judges stretched and twisted the law to railroad nonviolent January 6th defendants into prison for up to 20 years. And let's never forget that this was while they were letting violent leftist rioters off the hook with no bail and no charges in blue cities across America (including Washington, DC.)
Biden wants to limit alcohol
I’m a teetotaler, but I can understand why anyone who’s trying to survive the Biden economy and this White House’s attempts to take away everything that makes life livable, from cars to washing machines to air conditioners and ceiling fans during a heat wave, might want to enjoy a cold beer. Well, sorry! Turns out the DC Democrats have decided that’s another thing they need to take away from you for your own good.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-alcohol-czar-says-us-may-follow-canada-limit-beers-two-week
George Koob, the Director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) and Biden’s “alcohol czar” (who knew we even had one of those?), said they are considering following Canada’s lead and changing the official recommended alcohol intake from two drinks a day for men and one for women to only two drinks a week for both. Well, that would at least eliminate the need to define what a “woman” is.
As you might expect, this is going over like Bud Light at a Trump rally. Republicans say it’s yet another example of Democrat elites thinking they know how to tell people to run every aspect of their lives. But Koob said that "if there's health benefits, I think people will start to re-evaluate” drinking more than two beers a week (Sure, they will! History certainly teaches us that.)
For the record, Koob admits that he does partake of a couple of glasses of "buttery Californian Chardonnay'' a week. That is the least surprising part of this story.
Good advice from Oliver Anthony
From the moment Virginia farmer and singer/songwriter Oliver Anthony’s protest song “Rich Men North of Richmond” went viral, leftwing media outlets (and some establishment conservative ones as well) have been attacking him and the song as tools of the “right wing” – even though I told you from the start that Anthony made it clear he’s not a political partisan. Leftists see the way that song resonated with all working Americans (there was even a rap remix) as a threat to their elitist rule, so they had to follow “Rule for Radicals #13: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."
And so, in their slanderous narrative, Anthony was frozen as a backwoods bumpkin misled by MAGA extremists into believing rightwing disinformation about America’s wealthy and political classes being a bunch of out-of-touch, self-serving, Godless pedophiles who don't care about working Americans (because how else would anyone reach such a conclusion?) Fortunately, it appears that people have seen this tactic enough times to recognize it for what it is and ignore it.
Anthony himself has now spoken out against both Republicans who try to claim him and Democrats who attack him, as well as people who try to make the song about politics and use it to make themselves relevant. He said it cracked him up to hear it played at the GOP debate because “I wrote that song about those people,” but not just them. He also said it has nothing to do with Joe Biden, and is “a lot bigger” than Biden. Pointing to the comments on YouTube, he said, “I don’t know that I’ve seen anything get such positive response from such a diverse group of people.”
Later, he tweeted this: “I. Don't. Support. Either. Side. Politically. Not the left, not the right. I’m about supporting people and restoring local communities. Now, go breathe some fresh air and relax. Please? :) I'm not worth obsessing over, I promise. Go spend time with your loved ones.”
