"Huckabee" Preview
By Mike Huckabee
Join me tonight for a great new episode of “Huckabee” on TBN! I’ll welcome Georgia Rep. Doug Collins to talk about the growing backlash over the misrepresentation of Georgia’s new election law. We’ll get some much-needed straight talk from Dr. Everett Piper, author of “Grow Up! Life Isn’t Safe, But It’s Good.” We’ll also get some Southern wisdom, and more importantly, Southern biscuits, from the Internet’s favorite grandmother and country chef, Brenda Gantt. Comedian Jeremy Nunes will bring the laughs. Then turn up the volume for some foot-stompin’ music from Mark Farner of the classic rock group, Grand Funk Railroad.
We get rocking tonight at 9 EST/8 CST, on TBN. To find out how you can watch TBN, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming, visit https://www.huckabee.tv and click on “Channel Finder” on the top menu. You can stream previous episodes, highlights and online-only “Digital Exclusives,” including extended interviews, “In Case You Missed It” and “Facts of the Matter” segments, and extra performances by our great musical and comedy guests, all at https://www.huckabee.tv. The Rainbow Flag
By Mike Huckabee
The Biden Administration has given a blanket authorization to US Embassies to fly the rainbow LGBTQ pride flag on the same flagpole as the American flag to promote gay rights.
This isn’t a requirement, but can be decided by individual Embassies based on “local conditions.” For instance, in some counties like Saudi Arabia, where homosexuality is a capital offense, it might be dangerous to fly that flag.
So, as Jack Cowhick points out at the article in the link, this is using American Embassies to pander to a Democrat voting bloc, but in a really cowardly way, since they’ll only use the flagpole meant for Old Glory to virtue signal only in places where it doesn't require taking any real stand or risk. And as he notes, that’s not to say the staffers should fly the rainbow flag in places where it could spark violent assaults. It’s to say that it shouldn’t be on the flagpole at all, because that’s where we display the symbol of all Americans united, not political statements about individual identity groups.
Where's the beef?!?
By Mike Huckabee
When you were assured by the Democrats and their ventriloquist dummies in the media that Joe Biden was a moderate, bipartisan centrist who wouldn’t destroy the country with a lot of crazy, far-left insanity, was this what you thought you were going to get?
A study by Michigan University’s Center for Sustainable Systems found that to meet Biden’s goal of cutting CO2 emissions in half by 2030, Americans might have to cut their red meat consumption by 90% and cut their consumption of other animal-based foods in half.
That means Biden expects Americans to cut their average consumption of red meat to four pounds a year, or the equivalent of one third-pound burger a month. I do not see that happening.
I’ll bet you’re missing Trump now, aren’t you?
Jenner For Governor
By Mike Huckabee
Caitlyn Jenner announced that she is running for Governor of California to replace Gavin Newsom.
This is great news if for no other reason than Jenner is a Republican, and it’s going to be so much fun watching the Democrats and the media try to figure out a way to call her a transphobe.
Permanent Benefits
By Mike Huckabee
About 40 Democrats are pushing President Biden to make the pandemic expansion of unemployment benefits permanent for gig workers.
On one hand, I can see why this might be necessary, since they’re trying to pass the so-called “PRO-Act” that would eliminate millions of gig, freelance and contract labor jobs.
On the other hand, I can think of few better ways to keep the economy from ever recovering than to continue to pay people more to stay on unemployment than they’d make if they took jobs. We’re hearing about this from employers across the nation, who can’t find enough people who are willing to work. Just yesterday, one of my writers mentioned that a friend who owns a restaurant told him she wanted to be open every day instead of only four days a week, but she can’t find anyone to take the jobs. I’m having a similar problem finding workers to repair ice storm damage.
As Ronald Reagan once observed, if you want less of something, tax it; if you want more of something, subsidize it. The Democrats have always wanted to tax productivity and subsidize unemployment, but now, they’re being completely open about it and putting it on steroids.
Audit Paused
By Mike Huckabee
Has anyone who has absolutely nothing to hide ever gone to so much trouble to hide it as Democrats have in fighting any and all efforts to examine the 2020 Presidential vote?
Friday, a transparent audit of over 2 million ballots and voting machines in Maricopa County, Arizona, was about to begin on live stream when a judge halted it in response to a lawsuit by Democrats. They offered all sorts of eyebrow-raising arguments, such as that the audit is tainted because election critic Lin Wood donated some money to the crowdsource fund to pay the auditors, and that it would cost Arizona taxpayers money (Democrats are notoriously opposed to wasting the taxpayers’ money.) Of course, if they really wanted to make sure it’s honest, they’re welcome to come monitor it, just as anyone else is.
The judge gave the Democrats until Monday to explain their arguments, but only if they would put up a $1 million bond to cover the costs of the delay if they lost. They failed to put up the dough, so the audit will proceed.
So now we finally know what the Democrats’ limit is when it comes to trying to keep anyone from examining the last election: having to put up $1 million of their own money.
Incidentally, I have to hand it to CNN for writing a “news” story about this that could be the new textbook illustration of how to cram the most bias into a headline and lead sentence. I refuse to give CNN the clicks, but you can read this excerpt at the Lucianne.com site. Brace yourselves!
A Reader Writes Back...
Mike, really appreciate the content and thoughtful analysis day in day out. My question to you is, “ How can we overcome the relentless lies and misinformation that is spewed 24/7 by legacy media, and how can we fight the censorship we are witnessing from Big Tech?”. I fear this republic cannot survive this Axis of Evil information. God Bless you.
