Blessings on you and your family from all the Huckabee staff! Thank you for subscribing and I hope you enjoy today’s newsletter.
On a personal note, this was nice to see: California Gov. Gavin Newsom launched an unfair attack on Twitter against my home state and my daughter, the Governor. And look who quickly slapped him down: Democratic Arkansas state Rep. Andrew Collins.
It’s good to find issues where Democrats and Republicans can come together in agreement, like the fact that people who live in glass Governor’s Mansions shouldn’t throw stones.
Finally, we tried a new format without headlines and just bold type numbers denoting each new story. It is just a test for now.
With gratitude,
Mike

I’ve got the antidote for Biden’s State of the Union Address: a solid hour of entertainment on tonight’s episode of “Huckabee” on TBN! I’ll talk with Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy. Food blogger Stephanie Wise will show us how to make a healthy dish for Valentine’s Day called White Chocolate Peppermint Crunch Cake (guaranteed to make you fall in love…with the cake, that is!) You’ll also be amazed by master magician, Hubb. And to top it all off, music from country star Craig Campbell.
The fun starts tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST on TBN. To find out how to watch TBN, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming, visit https://www.huckabee.tv and click on “Channel Finder” on the top menu. You can stream previous episodes, highlights and online-only “Digital Exclusives,” including extended interviews, “In Case You Missed It” and “Facts of the Matter” segments, plus extra performances by our great musical and comedy guests and links to all their sites, at https://www.huckabee.tv. In the latest “We’ll Never Let It Go” news, former Vice President Mike Pence has been subpoenaed to testify in the special counsel investigation of former President Trump's alleged involvement in the January 6, 2021, riot and the classified documents at Mar-A-Lago.
I start to wonder if you can really call a story “news” when the first sentence includes a date from over two years ago and the word “former” twice.
Meanwhile, the FBI searched Pence’s Indiana home for five hours and apparently found one document marked “classified” that had inadvertently been transported there.
And Trump’s attorneys found a few new documents at Mar-A-Lago labeled classified and turned them over to the FBI, along with a former aide’s laptop. Also turned over to the FBI, something that’s starting to sound to me like the perfect visual representation for this whole alleged scandal: a folder labeled “Classified Evening Information” that was empty inside.
I hope I won’t be arrested for revealing classified information by telling you what the label on the empty folder said.

Friday, National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby revealed at a press conference that the US had shot down an “object” flying over our territorial waters in Alaska at 40,000 feet, where it posed a hazard to commercial aircraft. He described it as being about the size of a small car, cylindrical and silver, and just floating with no apparent means of propulsion. He said it would have fallen onto the ice (or “frozen water,” as he put it), so a search is on to find and identify the wreckage.

This press conference raised more questions than it answered. Like, if this is another Chinese spy balloon, why was the description so different? Why did Biden order this one shot down immediately after Biden let the Chinese balloon float all across America? And why didn’t the White House announce this immediately instead of waiting for hours before Kirby mentioned it during an answer to an unrelated question?
All of those are intriguing questions, but of course, the big questions on the Internet are, “Did we just shoot down a flying saucer?” and “Is Biden getting us into World War III with the Klingons?”

It shows you how times have changed when the government announces it shot down an unidentified flying object and people suspect they’re trying to cover up that it was a Chinese weather balloon by letting us think it was just a flying saucer.

I often say that “progressives” can’t win arguments by pointing to the success of their policies because there isn’t any. So they have to keep changing terms (how do you think “liberals” became “progressives”?) They’re changing so many words so fast, it’s impossible to keep up with all the Orwellian Newspeak. But this is a doozy even for the people who turned manholes into “maintenance holes.”
First-term Florida Democrat Rep. Max Frost went on MSNBC (of course) and denounced Florida Republicans’ move to allow law-abiding citizens to carry guns without a permit as “fascism.”
As noted at the link, fascist governments are known for a lot of things, but expanding individual rights and allowing citizens to be armed is definitely not one of them.
In fact, do you know who banned some of his own citizens from possessing guns? Hitler.
