Day 1 Executive Orders
By Mike Huckabee
Immediately upon taking office, President Biden started issuing a flurry of executive orders to undo President Trump’s legacy (of success.) They include halting the financing of the border wall (walls provide security at Inaugurals, but apparently not at borders), rejoining the WHO (which has really distinguished itself during the pandemic), including non-citizens in the Census count, and other things I tried to warn you about before the election.
But some of these reversals might not be so easy. Remember, I predicted that his biggest enemy won’t be Republicans, it will be reality. Democrats have publicly railed against Trump’s eeeevil policies for years, while enjoying the benefits they brought, including strong job creation, rising wages, Middle East peace and cheap and abundant fuel. Now, Biden is poised to undo those policies, but at the expense of losing all the benefits they never gave Trump credit for. If he were smart, he’d find a way to keep the policies and claim them as his own, by calling them “New and improved, now with more liberal compassion!” or something like that. But nobody ever claimed he was a genius.
Instead, Biden seems bent on mindlessly reversing everything, but he might meet more resistance than he thought. I told you that before he even took office, labor unions and other Democrats were already pushing back against his plan to kill the Keystone oil pipeline project (because it’s so much better for the environment to move oil by truck, train and ship).
Then, immediately upon taking office, he signed an order to put America back into the economy-crippling Paris Climate Accords, despite the fact that under Trump, America reduced its CO2 emissions more than any nations that remained in it. I told you yesterday that both it and Biden’s reimposing of the Iran nuclear deal will likely be met with legal challenges because they are plainly treaties, which require two-thirds Senate approval.
As risky as it is to depend on the courts, Biden is already meeting resistance there. A court has blocked his HHS from forcing Catholic doctors to perform transgender surgeries.
If enough lawsuits are filed, Biden’s agenda could be blocked in the courts until Republicans can take back Congress and the White House. Before Democrats start crying foul over that, I’ll point out that we learned it from them. It’s exactly the way they stymied Trump’s agenda for four years. Only they relied on liberal activist judges who ignored the Constitution. We’ll have to seek out judges who'll defend it.

The Failed Attempt To Cancel Franklin Graham
By Mike Huckabee
In the left’s zeal to try to accuse every Trump supporter who ever expressed suspicion of the election results as being guilty of fomenting insurrection (despite their own continuing efforts to delegitimize the 2016 election results), the “cancel mob” tried coming for the Rev. Franklin Graham.
The leftist Christian group Faithful America petitioned Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to replace Graham as their leader, hysterically accusing him of “blasphemy” and “helping incite white nationalist sedition.”
The response from the boards of directors of Samaritan’s Purse and the BGEA is a textbook example for other spineless organizations of how to respond to this kind of overheated cancel mob demand. A spokesman said that Faithful America “fabricated this lie that [Graham] incited violence at the Capitol.”
He continued, “The Boards of Directors for Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association have expressed that they fully support Franklin Graham and are more than satisfied with the job he has done and is doing in leading these ministries. Franklin Graham was not in Washington, D.C., and he did not encourage people to go to the Capitol on January 6.”
Imagine that! NOT firing someone just because he didn’t do anything wrong! Why, it’s practically unheard of these days.
PS – Someone please get word to Faithful America’s leaders that even the Washington Post has now reported that court documents reveal that the militia fanatics who stormed the Capitol were planning it days in advance, long before Trump ever gave the speech that his political opponents claim incited their attack. Also please pass the word to Nancy Pelosi that she should quietly burn her second impeachment case rather than send it to the Senate because her grounds for impeachment have been proven false even by the Washington Post.

Change
By Mike Huckabee
President Biden has reportedly removed the bust of Winston Churchill from the Oval Office, along with a large portrait of Andrew Jackson. I can understand why he wouldn’t want a reminder of the fact that Jackson, a huge racist, was a founding father of the Democratic Party. But the Churchill move is a slap in the face of one of our strongest allies.
Biden added busts of Robert Kennedy, Rosa Parks, Eleanor Roosevelt and labor organizer Cesar Chavez. I’m actually glad he added the Chavez bust. Maybe it will serve as a daily reminder that Chavez was a strong opponent of illegal immigration because he knew that it drove down wages for unskilled American workers, exactly as Trump proved it was doing.
Different Day, Same Swill
By Mike Huckabee
Immediately after President Biden vowed in his Inaugural Address to put an end to lies and false news, his new White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki held her first press conference and repeated a false narrative about Trump that’s been repeatedly debunked since 2017.
New Podcast
On this episode of The People's Podcast, Governor Huckabee speaks with bestselling author John Cribb about this week's Inauguration and the lessons that soon to be President Biden could take from another president who inherited a divided country - Abraham Lincoln.
