BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY
Here’s why politicians should remember when they’re wearing microphones
By Mike Huckabee
Last week, Rep. Steve Cohen and other House Judiciary Committee Democrats were overheard ridiculing Rep. Matt Gaetz’s proposal to say the Pledge of Allegiance before hearings. Cohen mocked people who have flags at their homes and say the Pledge. There were also some snarky comments about people who get on their knees and pray. Funny, I’d suggest Rep. Cohen do a lot more of that.
Democrats’ New Definition of “Terrorist”
By Mike Huckabee
Anyone who voted for Trump or who expresses doubts about the 2020 election: “Terrorists.”
Members of Yemen’s Iran-backed militia: “Not terrorists.”
This Is Only Fair
By Mike Huckabee
I mentioned last week that if Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is to be stripped of her committee assignments, then it’s only fair that Democrats be held to the same standard. So thanks to Matt Margois at PJ Media for compiling a list of them.
Shocking
By Mike Huckabee
Wait, you mean teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg is just a public face taking marching orders from shadowy adult manipulators? Color me shocked…
Interesting Read
By Mike Huckabee
The BookwormRoom blog has a couple of provocative observations about leftist thought processes. Bonus points: Two great quotes about socialism from Winston Churchill. No wonder Biden removed his bust from the Oval Office.
More "Fact-checking"
By Mike Huckabee
Recently, I wrote about how it is hard to determine the exact facts of what happened during the Capitol violence on January 6th, so I wasn’t going to jump on the bandwagon of bashing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's claims, despite the apparent inconsistencies and suspect motives in her story. Luckily for her, none of those things matter to the “fact-checkers” at Snopes.com, who leapt to her defense and branded the criticism of her as “mostly wrong.”
Read that analysis of Snopes’ “analysis” and see if you don’t agree that Snopes’ “fact-checker” is mostly wrong about her definition of what a “fact” is.
Time to rein in out-of-control, censorious social media companies
By Mike Huckabee
Columnist Roger Simon eloquently echoes my plea to all Republican-run states to join Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and rein in out-of-control, censorious social media companies on the state level. He even quotes a few of the same stats that I did about how many states Republicans completely control (24) and how many Americans they represent (nearly 186 million.) That ain’t hay.
Simon also urges politicians in those states not to be swayed by contributions from Google, Twitter, et. al. They certainly don’t owe their offices to those platforms, which are only giving them money to keep them quiet while they continue working to destroy all conservatives, politically and personally. It’s a fatally flawed strategy to keep giving your friends to the bear in hopes it will eat you last.

A Victims List
By Mike Huckabee
Thanks to Instapundit for pointing out this shocking website that keeps a running tally of the victims of “cancel culture” and the thought crimes for which they’ve seen their jobs, lives and reputations destroyed. Some of them are so ludicrous, they make the Salem Witch Trials look like models of judicial restraint.
Note especially the cases where people were ruined because their critics misunderstood what they said (like going ballistic over the use of a Chinese word because it sort of sounds like the “N-word”), but rather than admitting their own mistake, demanded that their groundless emotional meltdown be indulged.
And check out this rationale for a novelist receiving physical threats and having her book tour canceled by her publisher: she dared to write a novel about two migrants when she’s white, so she committed the cardinal sin of writing about “something other than her own lived experience.”
So novelists can only write about things that actually happened, and to them personally? We’re going to have to burn every novel ever written. In fact, “novel” and “fiction” might become the next “N-word” and “F-word” to be banned completely.
