DAILY BIBLE VERSE
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
Inappropriate Laughing
By Mike Huckabee
I’m beginning to suspect that Vice President Harris has the same condition that Joaquin Phoenix had in “The Joker” that makes you laugh uncontrollably at totally inappropriate moments.
This is CNN
By Mike Huckabee
CNN spent hours of air time condemning the Sturgis motorcycle rally as a thoughtless superspreader event, then sponsored a massive concert in New York’s Central Park where few in the crowd were wearing masks.
https://www.foxnews.com/media/cnn-nyc-concert-super-spreader-weather-hurricane-henri
It was only halted because the crowd needed scuba masks after torrential rains from Tropical Storm Henri blew in, leaving CNN with a lot of dead air to fill. They could fill it with reporting on how the President they worked so hard to elect is up to his eyebrows in self-created catastrophes, but it’s CNN. So they interviewed Barry Manilow and Carlos Santana by phone.
By the way, if you're in the path of Henri, don't let the fact that it was downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical storm put you off your guard. It still brings heavy rains and dangerously high winds. Please use caution, watch the weather news, and no matter what the President says, don't go out in it to get vaccinated.
Well, It's Official

Fox News is doing a better job of rescuing its people from Afghanistan than the Biden Administration is:
While Rome Burns

If there had been video of Nero fiddling while Rome burned, I think it might have come across something like this, only not quite as cringe-inducing.

Why They Should Resign
By Mike Huckabee
Victor Davis Hanson on why all our Joint Chiefs of State and Secretary of Defense should resign and why President Biden should be impeached – and the one reason why he won’t be.

Note To The Pentagon: Maybe Our Real Enemy Isn't Trump Supporters...
By Mike Huckabee
I already wrote about this, but it’s worth repeating: while our intelligence agencies were obsessed with investigating a nonexistent “insurrection” in Washington, they completely missed the actual insurrection that moved in and took over Afghanistan.
https://www.westernjournal.com/fact-check-mounting-evidence-confirms-no-attempted-insurrection-jan-6/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=huckabee
And why wouldn’t they? After all, heavily-armed Islamic terrorists who now have billions of dollars’ worth of our advanced weaponry and equipment couldn’t possibly be as dangerous as the #1 threat to America: Trump voters.
On that topic, the fact that idiots like this are or were in charge of our “intelligence” agencies should explain why the government exempts itself from Truth in Branding laws.

Potential Good News On COVID
By Mike Huckabee
Potential good news on COVID, and it’s not another vaccine, but a treatment: AstraZenica announced that one dose of new drug made from two antibodies could "quickly and effectively prevent symptomatic COVID-19” in people who have already been exposed to the virus.
https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-08-astrazeneca-hails-trial-results-covid.html
In a trial, participants showed a 77% reduced risk of developing symptomatic disease, with no severe cases reported. This is especially good news for people who can’t tolerate vaccines or don’t respond well to them, or who have increased risk of infection.
With so many people resisting taking vaccines, it would seem that concentrating on new and proven treatments for COVID would be a better way of dealing with the disease than more destructive lockdowns or trying to punish and stigmatize a large segment of the population and killing the economy by ordering businesses not to serve half their customers.
RIP Don Everly
By “Huckabee” pop culture guru Pat Reeder (http://www.hollywoodhifi.com)
We’re all very sad to have to report that Don Everly died at home in Nashville Saturday at 84.
https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/don-everly-everly-brothers-dead-84
Along with his late brother Phil, who died in 2014, they formed the Everly Brothers, one of the most important early rock groups. Their famous harmonies influenced many performers, particularly the Beatles. Paul McCartney once said that when he and John Lennon first started singing together, “I was Phil, and he was Don.” Keith Richards also called Don Everly “one of the best rhythm guitar players I’ve ever heard.”
Their original hits remain some of the most-played classics of the ‘50s and early ‘60s and have been covered by countless other artists, including “Bye-Bye Love,” “Devoted to You,” “All I Have to Do Is Dream,” “Till I Kissed You,” “Cathy’s Clown,” “When Will I Be Loved?”, “Let It Be Me,” “Crying in the Rain,” and of course, “Wake Up, Little Susie.” That song reached #1 on both the Billboard Pop and Country charts, despite being banned in Boston due to its “suggestive” lyrics about two teens who ruin their reputations by falling asleep at the drive-in and not waking up until long past curfew. When you look at what’s on the charts now, you can tell that was a very different era indeed.
The pressures of show business, drugs and personal issues caused acrimony between Don and Phil, who each went solo and didn’t speak to each other for years before they reconciled in the early ‘80s. It was such a thrilling turn of events in the music world that their comeback album, “EB84,” was produced by Dave Edmunds with songs contributed by such famous admirers as Jeff Lynne of ELO, Nick Lowe and Paul McCartney, who wrote their comeback hit, “On the Wings of a Nightingale.”
As another duo, the Righteous Brothers (who weren’t actually brothers) once sang, “If there’s a Rock and Roll Heaven, well, you know they’ve got a hell of a band.” Now, that band certainly has two great harmony singers.
