2. Showing Results in Canada:
The Canadian Truckers’ Freedom Convoy peaceful protest is showing results, at least outside the nation’s capital, where the leaders aren’t all leftists drunk on their power and who are actually willing to listen to the people. The premiere of Alberta announced that the province’s vaccine passport program would end as of midnight Tuesday, and other restrictions would be gone within three weeks. And the premiere of Saskatchewan announced that its restrictions would start being lifted on Monday, beginning with the vaccine passports.

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has gone from blackface to tone-deaf. He’s continuing to fuel anger and division with slanderous false accusations against the truckers as enemies of democracy. The same Justin Trudeau who praised BLM protesters and took a knee with them was heckled in Parliament for his dismissals of the truckers as a “fringe minority” with “unacceptable views” (I guess he decides whose views are “acceptable”) and a “few people shouting and waving swastikas.”
(For the record: one swastika flag was spotted early on in the protest, and it was likely a literal “false flag” operation by someone trying to discredit the truckers. While some media outlets have continued to repeat that claim, the Daily Mail says its reporter has been on the scene since day one and hasn’t seen a single swastika flag.)
Trudeau is handling this so badly that his fellow Liberal Party member, MP Joël Lightbound, resigned from the Party in protest of his politicized and divisive pandemic response. It’s ironic because most of the harsh pandemic measures the truckers were protesting came from provincial governments, not Trudeau’s. But he’s exposed himself so badly as someone who’d rather bully and insult the people than listen to them that the truckers have added his resignation to their list of demands.
By the time he’s done, he’s going to need a tow truck to haul away what’s left of his political career. Or maybe a garbage truck.
PS – Credit where it’s due: Biden spokesperson Jen Psaki finally got one right when she was asked about the Canadian truckers and she said the White House fully supports freedom of speech and the right to peacefully protest.
But points deducted for her later defending vaccine mandates by saying, “We know that requirements work” just because there haven’t been mass protests in the US like the one in Canada. Not on that scale, but maybe she should ask any of the businesses or hospitals or military leaders looking at shortfalls of workers because so many people quit or were fired in protest of Biden's “requirements.” I’m sure there’s never been a despot in history who didn’t strongly believe that “requirements work,” but that doesn’t mean they're good policy.
3. Progress here too:
More proof that the midterm elections are growing closer, and that the Canadian truckers’ freedom protest is inspiring Americans to revolt: not only are blue state governors suddenly rolling back their ineffective draconian COVID measures, but even Dr. Fauci now admits that the “full-blown pandemic phase” of COVID is coming to an end. For him, this is like Disco Stu on “The Simpsons” finally admitting that disco is dead.
Also worth firing off skyrockets over is that Fauci said the U.S. is heading in a positive direction due to vaccination rates, treatments, and prior infections making the virus more manageable. So after nearly two years, he finally admits that there are treatments and that prior infections create natural immunity. That’s like Disco Stu giving up his platform shoes.
Meanwhile, Ed Driscoll at Instapundit put together a great collection of stories from the past that prove that if you were a leftwing protester, politician or sympathizer, the “full-blown pandemic” phase ended in the summer of 2020.

I assume that what Dr. Fauci is saying is that this remarkably accommodating and left-leaning virus that spread among Trump rally attendees but not BLM protesters, that didn’t infect you in restaurants if you were sitting down, that attacked you in small businesses but not big box stores, that goes after children but not Democrat candidates posing for photo ops in their schools, and that was a danger to caterers and wait staff at fancy galas but not to the unmasked Democrat swells attending them, has finally decided to leave the rest of us alone, too. Science!
4. Another bombshell from Project Veritas:
Project Veritas has released another bombshell undercover/whistleblower expose, this time of ESPN, the sports network that of late has become more famous for tackling leftist politics than covering sports.
According to the PV expose, all that “woke” lecturing at ESPN hides a hypocritical workplace environment that multiple employees describe as “toxic” and “blatantly racist.” One black female employee was asked about ESPN’s social justice image, and she replied, “That’s not how it is.” On-air talent Matt Schick is seen calling ESPN “a global entity of forced thought.” And as if to prove that, after the whistleblower, ESPN Studio Operator Trevor Adams, sent a company-wide email outlining these concerns, the company identified him as a “threat,” which resulted in law enforcement being sent to his home. After Project Veritas tried to get a comment from ESPN’s Human Resources department, he was terminated.
5. Dumpster Fire at CNN:
Someone must be pouring gasoline on the dumpster fire that is CNN these days. Here’s a round-up of some of the latest news, from the quivering, grief-counseled cryfest the staff is suffering over Jeff Zucker’s resignation to Chris Cuomo now thinking he deserves $60 million to go away quietly and not reveal all the dirty entanglements between Zucker and his disgraced brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

And if Zucker’s departure put them all into finger-paint therapy, they might need Thorazine after they hear this: A federal judge has ordered that a New York man’s sexual assault allegation against CNN’s Don Lemon will go to a jury trial.
Even if you don’t care about the combination soap opera/DNC convention/kindergarten class that CNN has become, it’s worth clicking the links just to read this comment about it from the Ace Of Spades blog:

6. Virtue-signaling Ivy League says no:
I recently reported that USA Swimming had tightened its standards to make it harder for male athletes to declare themselves “trans” and immediately start mowing down all the women’s records, like Lia Thomas at UPenn.

But good news for Thomas and bad news for all the swimmers who were born female: the Ivy League has decided not to follow that guidance because they seem to think it’s more important to virtue-signal their support of trans people than to protect women from unfair competition. So it looks as if Thomas will be allowed to compete in Ivy League conference championships and pass all the other swimmers like a human jet ski.

What this actually teaches us is that if you have a daughter who wants to compete in sports, don’t send her to an Ivy League school. You might also want to avoid the Ivy League if your kid wants to major in biology, because they obviously know nothing about that subject.
7. More like AACLU:
The American Civil Liberties Union just made its long drift away from its original mission official by filing a lawsuit in Virginia to reinstate the mask mandate and take away citizens’ civil liberty to decide for themselves whether they want to wear one or not.
They will now be known as the AACLU, or "American Anti-Civil Liberties Union."
8. Anecdotal Evidence That Wearing A Mask Too Long Causes Brain Damage:
An upset mom who lives in “a liberal area” of New Jersey, so she’s afraid to give her name, complained that her three-year-old special needs son was thrown out of his speech therapy class for not complying with the state mask mandate.

Yes, you read that right: they make special needs three-year-olds who require basic speech therapy try to learn how to communicate verbally while everyone’s faces are covered with masks.
Vocabulary lesson: This is why we invented the word “idiotic.” Because sometimes “dumb” just isn’t strong enough.
9. What did you think was going to happen?!?:
Residents of blue states, where officials are all in on “green energy” and waging war on oil, coal and natural gas, are shocked to suddenly be getting much higher energy bills for heating their homes this winter. Some say their bills are three times what they were last year for the same energy usage. Gee, I wonder what happened about a year ago that caused energy prices to skyrocket?

While they’re shivering in the dark, they might take their minds off it by playing connect-the-dots. Like, try to connect your huge energy bills to your skyrocketing crime rates to the way you keep voting.
10. Winter Olympics Update:
A leaked email revealed that a security official for the now notorious Loudoun County, Virginia, school board (which thinks rapists should go free and have their crimes covered up if they’re “trans”) was coaching principals in how to obtain warrants to have students arrested and charged with trespassing if they show up for school not wearing facemasks. It also provided tips on how to keep parents from accessing school property. Or as I prefer to call that, “taxpayer property.”
