DAILY BIBLE VERSE
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV

Leftists are out of touch with America
Why is it that the media treat any deviation from far-left dogma as being “radical” and “out of the mainstream,” when it’s actually the leftists who are out of touch with most Americans?
Here’s more proof: a new Harvard/Harris poll found that 54% of likely voters support some restrictions on abortion. Only a miniscule 8% support allowing abortion up until birth, a stance recently supported by 49 out of 50 Democrat Senators.
As for all the radical “gender identity” redefinitions of basic biological fact, a new YouGov For Save poll found that Americans overwhelmingly oppose it, 63-37%.
Yet despite that overwhelming consensus, Twitter once again locked the Libs of TikTok account just for reposting posts by the defenders of a Dallas gay club’s drag event for children. Twitter accused them of violating its policy on “abuse and harassment.” But as the Babylon Bee’s Seth Dillon pointed out, “You know what’s actually abusive? Drag shows for kids.”
A morning-after hearing recap worth reading
Bob Hoge at Redstate.com has a morning-after recap of the Democrats’ January 6 Committee Show Trial, and his assessment is that it “landed with a thud.”
His take: There was a lot of innuendo and guilt by association with little evidence to back it up; nothing new other than “never before seen” riot footage that looked just like footage we’ve already seen; a claim that some Oath Keepers members were “armed anti-government extremists” without noting that they weren’t armed when they came to the Capitol; and an admission that the Proud Boys went to the Capitol before Trump even started speaking, which undermines their claim that his speech incited the riot. And of course, no mention of the only person actually killed that day, unarmed protester Ashli Babbitt.
Hoge calls the hearing “a disaster for Democrats” that proved nothing other than that “a riot is a scary place to be.” The Dems are planning seven more hearings worth of this one-sided propaganda, but they won’t be in prime time, so we have to assume they must’ve front-loaded it with the best arguments they had.
If that’s the best they’ve got, here’s a crazy idea: how about canceling the seven more sessions of this and spending the time on something else, like maybe reducing inflation, increasing oil and gas production to bring down prices, securing the border or getting the supply chain crisis solved? Or are they deliberately avoiding doing any of that because that’s what Trump would do?
Biden's ludicrous claim
Attention, “fact-checkers,” all you liberal activists who would rush to check the time and weather report every time Trump said, “Good morning.” Why are not throwing a fit over President Biden’s comments mocking gun owners at a Democrat fundraiser Friday in Beverly Hills?
I’m not even referring to his by-now ancient wheeze that “when you go deer hunting, how many deer are wearing Kevlar vests?” as if the Second Amendment were created to protect the right to hunt deer. I mean this jawdropper, where he claimed that gun owners are “a danger to themselves”:
“More people get killed with their own gun in their home trying to stop a burglar than, in fact, any other cause.”
Really? I knew the Democrats were letting a lot of criminals run loose, but I didn’t know there were so many burglars that they were killing more people than car accidents do. But maybe he meant only gun deaths. Even so, to cite just one city, Chicago, over the weekend, 21 people were shot, 4 fatally. Here’s a list of the circumstances of each shooting.
https://abc7chicago.com/
Notice that 100% of the victims were out of their homes, and driving, walking or standing around when they were shot. There’s not one single case of a burglar breaking into an armed citizen’s home, taking his/her gun away, and using it against the homeowner. Law-abiding gun owners are not the cause of shooting deaths. Chicago has strict gun control laws, but its problem is that it’s overrun with criminals and gang members who don’t obey gun laws or any other laws, and who get their weapons illegally. That, and it’s been run entirely by Democrats since 1931.
Biden’s claim was so ludicrous on the face of it, how could anyone in his right mind actually believe it? Yes, that’s a trick question.
No clue
For anyone thinking of asking me, no, I have no idea what Fox News was thinking when they ran this. I was not in this loop.
"Gunshot!"
Last week at an anti-gun rally in Washington, DC, someone yelled, “Gunshot!” The panicked crowd ran for their lives before it was revealed that it had been a false alarm. At the link, Michael Austin draws a thought-provoking lesson from the incident: this is what happens when the bad guys have guns and law-abiding citizens don’t. He then suggests imagining what would have happened to anyone who tried pulling this stunt at an NRA rally. That’s hard to imagine because I doubt that it would ever, EVER happen.

Your tax dollars at work
The National Science Foundation gave a grant of nearly $500,000 of our money to two “critical whiteness scholars” from Seattle Pacific University, to study ways to “deconstruct whiteness” in introductory physics classes.
They will use all that dough to hunt for “certain characteristics that U.S. culture typically associates with white masculine behavior, including control, independence, and decisiveness,” in the teaching of physics. For instance, an emphasis on getting the “correct answer” to physics problems. Instead of the professor teaching students the “correct” answer to a problem, students should collaboratively establish a “shared purpose with many solutions and approaches.” I don’t think I’d want to fly on a plane designed by people who ignored the professor’s “correct” answers and made up their own. Frankly, the very idea that getting the correct answer is somehow associated with being white might be the most racist thing I’ve heard this month.
Here’s the great thing about physics: neither your race, sex, national origin nor any other superficial personal characteristic matters a whit. If you jump off the roof of a building, physics doesn’t care what color you are, what gender you are, what size you are, or even if you “identify” as a bird. Physics, via gravity, will ensure that you will plummet to the ground at the exact same velocity as anyone or anything else. And no matter who or what you are, if you want to know the rate of that velocity, you have to learn the correct formula for it.
Just by doing this study, these pompous pinheads are introducing racism into the least racist field on Earth. Why are we paying them to do that?
What a surprise
The Sunday “news” shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN all completely ignored the assassination attempt on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. I guess that was a lone nut with a gun planning a violent insurrection that they approve of.
