DAILY BIBLE VERSE
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
1 Chronicles 29:14 KJV

Priorities
While China is building up its military and threatening Taiwan, Russia is flattening Ukraine and threatening the world with nuclear weapons, and the Taliban is again colluding with terrorists who want to destroy America (and they have $80 billion worth of our military equipment to help), our Navy is lecturing sailors on the vital importance of using people’s preferred pronouns. To use a Navy term, we are sunk.

Declining water level cause revealed
Manmade Lake Powell in Colorado is a vital water source, but it’s getting lower and lower in recent years. A new study found that it is not, as some claim, due to climate change, but to an even more dangerous natural disaster: incompetent government management.
Uvalde update
The investigation into why it took Uvalde, Texas, police so long to stop the deadly school shooter is still ongoing, but the latest information makes it look even worse than it already did. It now appears that they had plenty of officers, weapons and equipment to move in on the gunman, and at least one officer was recorded saying, “If there’s kids in there, we need to go in there.” But they were ordered to stand around waiting for 58 minutes as children and teachers were murdered. Unbelievable.
Stelter tries a Hail Mary pass
With Americans tuning out the January 6th Kangaroo Kommittee hearings in droves, CNN’s Brian Stelter attempted a Hail Mary pass to try to convince us that this one-sided, evidence-free show trial is really important and relevant. You won’t be shocked to hear that his pass was incomplete.
Must-See TV
Tucker Carlson deserves an Emmy Award just for being able to keep a straight face through his Monday monologue as he perfectly channeled the hyperbolic and melodramatic outrage of the January 6th obsessed Democrats as he described the attempted insurrection staged by Stephen Colbert’s staffers, including Robert Smigel (“Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog.”)
https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-capitol-breach-stephen-colbert-foreshadowed-coup
Later that night, Colbert did what he always does: he smugly (and not very humorously) mocked the points made by Republicans while echoing the DNC party line.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/stephen-colbert-breaks-silence-staffers-capitol-arrests
Proving he can no more take a joke than he can recognize one, Colbert downplayed what his staffers did as nothing at all like the virtually identical things he’d previously tried to inflate into the worst assault on our democracy in history (like some doofus putting his feet up on Nancy Pelosi’s desk). Naturally, his studio audience applauded this, but they’re trained to applaud DNC talking points instead of laughing.
Colbert called the comparisons of his staffers’ illegal disturbance in the House office building to January 6th a "shameful and grotesque insult to the memory of everyone who died" (apparently not remembering that the only person who died was unarmed protester Ashli Babbitt, who was shot to death by a Capitol cop who faced no punishment or even serious investigation.) Colbert also pointed out that his staff was in a House office, not the main Capitol building, and he said he was "shocked that he has to explain the difference…” Maybe he should explain it to AOC, who was also in an office building a block away from the Capitol on January 6th but who has repeatedly claimed that she was so afraid for her life that she’s still traumatized.
For someone who’s an alleged comedian, Colbert seems incapable of recognizing satire when he sees it. The people calling for Triumph the dog puppet to be thrown in solitary for a year while awaiting charges are not trivializing January 6th. They’re using satire to point out the Democrats’ absurd overstatements, the very real injustices that arose from that day, and the staggering hypocrisy, two-tiered justice system and double standards of leftists like him. But then, it’s not surprising that he doesn’t recognize jokes aimed at the left. It’s not as if he’s ever told one himself.
Or as the Babylon Bee reminds us, it’s not as if he’s told anything remotely resembling a joke in the past five years…
Biden falls off his bike
Over the weekend, President Biden sparked a media frenzy by falling off his bicycle. Actually, he stopped, stood for a moment, then fell over with the bike, which looked even worse.

But he apparently wasn’t hurt, and some people might be trying to make too much of it. The New York Post reports that Biden was most likely just tripped by an accessory on the pedals called toe cages that make it harder to get your feet out in time to keep from falling over.
Of more interest are all the descriptions of how old Biden’s bicycle is, with quotes like “that thing is ancient,” and it has “a rusty chain, well past its prime.” Are we sure they’re talking about the bicycle?
COVID lab leak theory
Say, remember how speculating that COVID-19 might have escaped from the viral lab in Wuhan, China, got you accused of being a spreader of dangerous disinformation and conspiracy theories and banned from social media? Well, it seems that the head of the World Health Organization kinda believed that was likely, too.

Yet another thing that it would’ve been helpful to know two years ago.
Warning for Socialists
All those stories out of France crowing about the victory of socialism over populism might have been a bit premature…
