THE EVENING EDITION By Mike Huckabee

Good evening! Here are some stories from me that I think you will want to read.

DAILY BIBLE VERSE

This verse was recommended by William F.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:23-24 KJV

THE LATEST NEWS

1. THE 2021 HUCKABEE NEWSLETTER HOLIDAY ENTERTAINMENT GIFT GUIDE:

I’ve never been a fan of political boycotts of entertainment products, which can hurt workers who have nothing to do with the woke views that studio executives or stars spew. But I understand why many conservatives might not want to give their entertainment dollars to people who call them racists and want to put them in reeducation camps.

Still, we all need some entertainment to take our minds off of politics for a while, and to give to like-minded folks on our gift lists.

That’s why, last year, we created a list of entertainment gift options created by people who deserve your support (the original 2020 gift guide is here, and there are many albums, movies, comedy DVDs, downloads and more in it that are still great options for this Christmas).

Since then, many more have come along, and we wanted to give you a place to find all these great entertainment options as “guilt-free” gifts or for yourself to enjoy. These artists are either openly conservative, Christian, defiantly non-PC or at least non-partisan (and that takes courage in this “toe-the-leftist-line-or-else” age.) Many were guests on my TBN show. As a bonus, we’ve included YouTube links to their performances, so this gift guide alone will be more entertaining than most late night TV shows!

All of them offer excellent products of high quality that won’t insult your beliefs or enrich people who do. Unfortunately, you won’t hear some of them much on radio or network TV.  But why should they have to censor themselves to get approved by liberal Hollywood gatekeepers when there are at least 73 million of us who should be supporting their work?

This is by no means a comprehensive list. I'm naturally partial to people who are close to me and who've appeared on my show. Being on the list doesn’t imply that a performer holds any particular political or religious beliefs, other than not being hostile to others’ freedom to do so. If you’d like to suggest more, feel free to add them in the comments.

And remember, many of these are indie artists and studios that don’t have distribution through Amazon, so it might take a little time for orders to be filled. So please order soon for pre-holiday delivery. The good news: most indie musicians have their CDs in stock, not sitting somewhere on a slow boat from China!

Merry Christmas!

2. VACCINE MANDATES STOPPED

President Biden might be having trouble on most fronts, but at least he’s batting a thousand on his vaccine mandates: as of Tuesday, every last one of them has been blocked nationwide by the courts. On Tuesday, a third federal judge issued a nationwide preliminary injunction halting enforcement of Biden’s vaccine mandate for federal contractors and subcontractors. This quickly follows court rulings blocking his mandates on health care workers and on businesses with 100 or more employees.

https://www.westernjournal.com/official-every-single-one-bidens-covid-vaccine-mandates-blocked-nationwide/

Vaccine mandates are also getting pushback on lower levels. Even as he’s being pushed out the door of the Mayor’s office, New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio is still issuing draconian COVID orders, including a vaccine mandate for all private sector workers and vaccine passport requirements for children as young as five. But any New Yorkers who might still have the gumption to tell him where to put it and take him to court can be encouraged by this story:

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2021/12/08/deblasios-vaccine-mandate-for-the-nypd-just-got-blocked-n2600290?utm_campaign=rightrailsticky3

A New York Supreme Court judge just put a temporary block on DeBlasio’s vaccine mandate on all NYPD officers. The order blocks the mandate being enforced until after a hearing to show cause set for December 13th. If the plaintiffs can just stretch this out past January 1st, which shouldn’t be hard with our court system, maybe sanity will return to City Hall and the case will be moot.

3. CNN REPORTS: TEAM BIDEN IS MEETING SECRETLY WITH THE MEDIA:

Surprisingly, CNN reported that the Biden White House has been having secret behind-the-scenes meetings with journalists and producers from major media outlets to “reshape” coverage of economic issues and make it more positive for Biden.

https://www.westernjournal.com/report-biden-administration-holding-secret-meetings-mainstream-media-outlets-bid-reshape-coverage/

Talk about putting lipstick on a pig! One of my writers reported being in line behind a mom at a supermarket just yesterday and noticing that the tab for her cart full (but hardly overflowing) with groceries was over $270. And this wasn’t an upscale store or gourmet items, just regular food. I can’t wait to see how the Biden-loving media is going to convince us that that’s a good thing, as is the fact that half the store shelves were empty, or that it probably cost her another $80 to gas up her SUV and take those groceries home.

But put aside the gaslighting aspect of this. How creepy is it that Biden’s people are meeting with the media to shape their coverage of Biden…and the media is actually going along with it?

Here’s a riddle for you: What’s the difference between our media and the North Korean state media?

Answer: You don’t know, either, huh?

4. ELON MUSK: "CAN THIS BILL"

Tesla founder Elon Musk may have made a lot of money off of electric cars, but he still doesn’t support Biden’s “Build Back Better” bill, even though it spends a lot of money subsidizing EVs and building more charging stations.

https://justthenews.com/government/congress/elon-musk-says-congress-should-can-bidens-entire-build-back-better-spending

At a Wall Street Journal economic event, Musk said, "Honestly, I would just can this whole bill. Don't pass it. That's my recommendation." Musk said the government should be a referee, not a player on the field, and it should "get out of the way and not impede progress." He said, "The vast majority of rules and regulations live forever...there's not really an effective garbage collection system for removing rules and regulations, so this hardens the arteries of civilization where you are able to do less and less over time." (Actually, we did have a system for hauling away garbage rules and regulations, but he was replaced by Joe Biden.)

Biden’s bill includes $7500 subsidies for buying electric vehicles, plus an extra $4500 if it’s union-made, which Teslas aren’t. That seems to me like using our tax money to rig the market in favor of Democrat-supporting unions. Musk pointed out that Teslas sell with no subsidies and said there shouldn’t be any government subsidies, nOt even for building charging stations. He pointed out that gas stations get built without government subsidies

He also said we can’t keep spending trillions of dollars we don’t have and creating new entitlement programs when we already don’t know how we’re going to keep Medicare and Social Security funded.

Will Congress pay attention? Highly doubtful. He’s speaking common sense, and it’s not a language they’re familiar with.

5.  ANOTHER IDEA:

But if trying to reason with Congressional liberals doesn’t work (and trust me, I’ve tried it), how about this:

Electric vehicles are destroying the rainforests! (I apologize if that made Greta Thunberg’s head explode.)

https://redstate.com/bradslager/2021/12/07/new-report-shows-push-for-electric-cars-is-actually-killing-rainforests-n488088

NBC News (again, surprisingly) reports that the rising demand for lithium batteries for electric cars and other rechargeable devices has sparked a demand for nickel ore. That’s causing a sudden explosion of nickel mining in the Philippines that’s wiping out the pristine rainforests there.

Sir Isaac Newton (one of those old, dead, white guys we can’t learn anything from) taught us that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Studying history teaches us that for every government action, there is an opposite reaction that’s probably worse than the problem the original action was supposed to solve.

6. SICK:

The Fox News All-American Christmas Tree in Manhattan was seriously damaged last night in a fire. Police caught a man running from the scene who is suspected of setting the fire deliberately. He could face a number of charges for this senseless, vindictive destruction, including reckless endangerment and arson. Fox News confirmed that the tree will be quickly rebuilt.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/fox-square-christmas-tree-fire-suspect-arrested

As disgusting as this story is, I don’t expect it to get too much more media coverage, since most media outlets will assume they know the political views of the arsonist and clam up accordingly.

7. IT HAPPENED: BOY "SECRETLY" GIVEN COVID SHOT AT SCHOOL

Get pizza, take a shot of vaccine! Now, that's "pizza with everything."

In a shocking story, a mom named Maribel Duarte told NBC Los Angeles that her 13-year-old son had come home from school with a vaccine card and told her he had accepted the shot after being offered pizza.

Offered? The word is “bribed.” (Not sure if he put it that way to his mom, but that’s what it was.) The boy was even told not to say anything about it.

“It hurt to know he got a shot without my permission, without knowing and without signing any papers for him to get the shot,” Duarte said.

The school was Barack Obama Global Prep Academy in South L.A. How ironic that this happened at a school named for the President who pushed a mandate for government health care policies. Feel free to make up your own joke.

The Los Angeles Unified School District has determined that all students 12 and over are required to be “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19 by January 10, 2022, unless they’re granted a waiver or “other exemption.” That date is looming, but it looks as though they’re getting there, largely because, according to the story in FOX News, this district –- the second largest in the United States –- saw its enrollment drop by more than 27,000, or 6 percent, at the start of this school year over the mandate. At this point, among those who are still enrolled, the district boasts a vaccination rate of over 80 percent.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/california-boy-coronavirus-vaccine-pizza-consent-school

For LAUSD employees, the requirement started earlier. October 15 was the deadline for teachers and other staff to get their first shot. Those who hadn’t had one dose by then would not be able to return to work. One might think that in California, everybody was on board with the mandate, but that is definitely not the case.

https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/school-vaccine-mandate-california-covid-coroanvirus-gavin-newsom/2719402/

The district says they haven’t confirmed that this incident with the student occurred, but Duarte said her son told her that the woman who’d given him the shot --- and signed the paper --- had told him to keep it a secret. “Please don’t say anything,” she said to the student. “I don’t want to get in trouble.”

The school district does have what they call an “incentive program,” with the word “incentive” apparently meaning, at least in this case, “bribe.” They call it their Safe Steps to Safe Schools Incentive Program. “This program offers incentives to families who upload proof of their vaccine, have an approved medical exemption, or have conditional admissions.” Once they upload this proof, they are issued a “Daily Pass” to be able to attend class. They still have to wear a mask and socially distance “as best possible.”

It’s not clear what “conditional admissions” means. Perhaps some kids are sensitive to gluten and can’t eat the free pizza. Here's a closer look at the program.

https://achieve.lausd.net/covid

“The science is clear,” it begins, even though the scientific evidence in favor of vaccinating 12-year-olds for COVID-19 is not clear at all. Elsewhere on the site, it says, “Strong scientific evidence shows that vaccinations are an essential part of protecting our communities,” and links to this from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

https://publications.aap.org/pediatrics/article/148/2/e2021052336/179782/COVID-19-Vaccines-in-Children-and-Adolescents

It recommends COVID vaccination for children 12 and up. Still, if you read all the way to the bottom, there is this caveat: “The guidance in this statement does not indicate an exclusive course of treatment or serve as the standard of medical care. Variations, taking into account individual circumstances, may be appropriate.”

That’s funny, because by adhering to these strict deadlines, district officials ARE requiring “an exclusive course of treatment” and setting "the standard of medical care.” They need to remember they are not doctors –- or parents –- so they are about the last people who should be determining which “individual circumstances” to take into account.

The school district told NBC Los Angeles that “several steps are in place to ensure vaccinated students receive prizes.”

https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/mom-says-son-vaccinated-in-exchange-for-pizza-at-lausd-without-her-consent/2773619/

In all our searching, we still couldn’t turn up what the supposed “incentives” or “prizes” are that go to students and families (other than simply to be able to come in and attend class in person –- and free pizza, of course), or what those “conditional admissions” are. But the site explains that in order to be fully vaccinated by the deadline of January 10, every student 12 years old or older must receive the first shot no later than November 21 and the second no later than December 19. Younger students “must receive their first vaccine dose by no later than 30 days after their 12th birthday, and their second dose by no later than 8 weeks after their 12th birthday.”

For students 5-11, the vaccine is “highly encouraged” but not currently mandatory. The district started offering it on November 8.

Presumably, Duarte’s son had hit the deadline of November 21 without being vaccinated and would have had to leave school and take his classes online unless he got the first shot on schedule.

Tammy Bruce, host of Tuesday’s “Fox News Primetime,” spoke about this with with flabbergasted attorney Pam Bondi, former attorney general of Florida. “It’s not only disturbing,” she said, “but it is illegal, obviously, in the state of California.” Parental consent is still absolutely required for children under 18 to receive a COVID vaccine. Bondi pointed out that this boy has asthma and allergies –- something his mother would have known but the school likely did not. What if he’d had a reaction to the shot? Schools never used to give a child so much as a baby aspirin without parental approval.

“Parents, it is your choice,” Bondi said, “whether or not your children are going to be vaccinated. Not teachers, not the socialists, not the school bureaucrats who go rogue, and they have to be held accountable.” She said this parent has a civil case, and that it might even be considered criminal battery, as children can’t give consent.

The woman who gave the shot was right about one thing: if this kid said anything, she WOULD be in trouble, along with the school, the district, and everyone who’s pushing to do this or anything else to kids against their parents’ wishes. It’s a good thing he told his mom.

The battery of the m13-year old student in the LAUSD should be the grounds for a civil suit. Maybe it is time for all of us to bring a civil suit against the Biden administration and their accomplices in the poltico-medical industries of the US. Under RICO (the Racketeering and Corrupt Organizations) law, citizens can bring a civil suit against a corrupt organization, including governmental agencies. Maybe now is the time.

I've been reading your newsletters for sometime, but I haven't commented in a while. They're always spot on with the daily news, great job to you & your staff.

Not too long ago (maybe a week back) you had a poll regarding president & vice-president picks, but you haven't sent out the results. I'm curious what the results are.

I must say something is definitely wrong with Biden. He's really pathetic & a dangerous man. Of course, the people who are behind him are the worst. I believe he doesn't even know what he's doing. Him & his administration has caused all the pain we are all feeling.

On another note: I requested ONLY the evening edition of your newsletter & I'm receiving the morning too. Please check this out. Thank you.

I like you putting up information where people can support many by ordering directly.
It would be helpful to do reporting on the RINO'S like McConnell, Graham and Crenshaw who constantly undercut conservatives. Recently Crenshaw called the Freedom Caucus a bunch of grifters. Now reports out the McConnel may support the left to deep six the filibuster! At this rate there will be no Republican Party by the next elections. In my state of Washington the grifters are establishment Republicans. The establishment hates all who supported Trump or true conservative and Constitutional causes!
