The Democrats still have a chance to ruin everything!!!

I’m disgusted with a small and selfish group of Republicans who probably feel they are “Spartacus” but the movie best fitting them is “The Gang Who Couldn’t Shoot Straight.”

Several of these hold-outs (I should say “hold-ups”) are friends and I supported and campaigned for many.  I won’t be in the future.  The simple of rule of politics is that you take your stand, but if you don’t have enough following to lead, then recognize that you simply didn’t sell your ideas very well.  Less than 20 GOP members of Congress are stopping 200 of their fellow Republicans from getting about the business of investigating corruption in the White House, FBI, DOJ, and in Congress itself.  Instead, without being able to articulate a specific reason for their objections, they have blocked the election of Kevin McCarthy as Speaker and in so doing making the Republicans look like a bunch of 6 year olds who refuse to play unless the majority surrenders to the tantrums of the few.

Is Kevin McCarthy perfect?  Of course not.  But he has faithfully worked to recruit candidates, help fund them, and get them elected.  The ultimate outrage is that some he helped win and raised funds for now have shown they really DO think it’s about them and not the bigger principles of the conservative movement.

Dr. E. V. Hill, longtime CA pastor used to say “If you think you’re a leader and you look behind you and no one is following, you aren’t a leader—you’re just out for a walk.”  The actions of the petulant circle of “Never-Kevins” don’t amount to enough votes to get close to winning.  But they may have enough to make sure their own team loses.  These guys are setting fire to their own hosue, but they are arsonists who didn’t even have fire insurance.  The mission is just “burn it down.”  And in so doing, empowering the very Democrats some of us worked very hard to put in the minority.

We did NOT work to blow up our own opportunity to take on the Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, and Squad team, but that’s the effect of the actions of the camera hungry Congress members who may deep down believe they are more “principled” than everyone else, but have shown a startling level of political immaturity.

If the tiny crowd of political tots can’t convince a majority of their peers to follow them off the cliff, they should have the self-awareness to admit they fired their best shot and simply missed the target.  Now it’s time to fight for the American people.  If after taking leadership, Kevin and company don’t deliver, you might be able to make a better case for lighting the fuse to the bomb to blow up the place.

I respectfully disagree. McCarthy's remarks on J6 sealed the deal for me. In my opinion, he is part of the problem in DC. He is an elitiest and I am tired of all of- the swamp, elitists, rhinos, and globalists- ruining our country and world. I would like to see some grassroots courage. McCarthy has never been a fan of Trump or the MAGA movement. He is comfortable with his position, ideas, influence, and agenda. In my opinion, he and McConnell both need to go! At least some small group has the courage to take a stand!!

Jim Jordan has always been my pick before his name was mentioned. If I am called a radical so be it. The party needs some shaking up. People are blowing this way out of proportion, the sky isn't falling.

You are WRONG. To fight for MAGA these last years only to turn the house back to the same feckless RINO's is an INSULT to all of us that have DONATED the few $$ we have left & our time to support MAGA CANDIDATES. You might as well promote ARIZONA"S voting records as a model & let's move on. Exactly whom do you represent, you have touted the globalist's bi lines in the last several months. How about calling out the FOR Kevin PAID for my VOTE WHORES for not doing what MAGA VOTED THEM IN FOR --> TO REMOVE rino leaders & stop stroking dem's members, get the picture.

EXCELLENT! I’m embarrassed by the GOP! As if we don’t have enough RINOS who wreak havoc, now this??? Disgusting behavior.

I am disgusted by the lack of unity with the Republican Party. On every vote so far, the Democrats number 212, the full number of seats they hold in the House. If, by some happenstance, Hakeem Jeffries gets elected Speaker, I will immediately change my registration from Republican to Independent and will never donate another cent to the Republican Party!

Your referene to "tots" vs. grown-ups is interesting. Seems to me you professional grown-ups have compromised the nation into oblivion. Strange that you now embrace and champion compromise. It's compromise that denies truth and ends up with the woke culture we have today.

You related: McCarthy said he's willing to set a record for the most votes to become Speaker... more than 153; really?! Then you quoted, "If you think you’re a leader and you look behind you and no one is following, you aren’t a leader — you’re just out for a walk." And a whole lot of R reps are not following. McC has stated flatly, "I've earned it." The one fighting and clawing his way into a position of authority or leadership is usually the last one you wanted. The one who is dragged, kicking and screaming into the position is almost always the one who does the superlative job. McC has opposition because they know him better than you or I for a man of negotiable principles, most often, not conservative ones. I see him as a squish who will continue to cave according to R history. I want a Speaker who will run the House the way Pelosi did, with an iron hand, except in favor of and loyalty to the Constitution and the law. For the sake of the party, he needs to put his ego to one side, remove himself from the ballot, and contribute to party unity. For those who are supporting or opposing him for the sole purpose of obtaining a sinecure, for shame! Support a man of conservative principles who knows what leadership is about, and get this done before the unthinkable happens, and by some twist of parliamentarian voodoo, that communist Jeffries ends up as Speaker. Thanks for letting me vent, Huck.

We love you, Mike, but you're wrong on this one. McCarthy is just another lame politician from California, who needs to be dumped, unceremoniously.

Lots of us are Independents who vote straight Republican. If McCarthy becomes the Speaker, we will stop doing that.

You and Sean Hannity and Newt are wrong. Dump McCarthy now!

Governor, I don't often disagree with your superior knowledge, However, I'm sure you know of the 3 items presented by Boebert and her associates that McCarthy flatly rejected !! These items are ALL NEEDED to be at least presented, discussed, and voted on. His refusal is simply perpetuating the RINO approach to governing. No wonder he literally IS the democrats favorite for a reason !!

As much as I favor many of the 20 "holdouts" in general, the last thing we need right now is a divisive party. The MO of the democrats is to divide and conquer, let us not assist them with that travesty. The Republican party has already screwed up by failing to reign in Obamacare when they had the chance. I joined the party to get Trump elected and Hilary prosecuted. We see how that worked out. I will not be supporting the Republican party in any way in the future if they don't get their butts in gear and soon.
